Sage Meilyr
Sage advanced towards the place he had heard the explosion, even with what seemed like a thick cloak he was moving fast. Journeying throughout the years made his body fit and his speed was above average even for a full time magus. He was glad Hiketsu was there along with him to join in the fun. He loves to see a Joyan warrior fighting, their style is just unique and pleasant to see. When they reached there, several rune knights had already fallen. But what seemed weird was that the number of rune knights weren't as impressive as Sage had seen before. Then he remembered, the war. He clicked his teeth and explained what he had observed in just a matter of moments, "The rune knights' number has been depleted due to the war. The criminals took advantage of this.".

A few rune knights were still up and faced a certain direction, it seemed like the state of the era dungeon were still fine, no holes in their walls but just a few flames here and there. A group of suited rune knights circled around a certain group of people, they weren't wearing jail's clothes which could mean that they planned the escape from the outside, but it seemed like they were quite careless at doing it. It all seemed like the rune knights had things under control, but no.

The person in the middle of the group of criminal pointed her wand upwards, which sent a beam of green towards the sky. A storm starts to pour and when the raindrops hit the surface magic circles forms at the rune knights armors, which seemed to made them heavier and hence made the rune knights immobile. The group the started to laugh, it seemed like they consist of three people, the purple haired witch in the middle, a giant dark skinned man on the front and a mysterious looking guy who wore a magician's cape and hat. The magician then began to speak as kf he were the leader, "Destroy anybody who dare stop us, and..." he paused briefly and opened his cloak, throwing it to the sky. The cloak then transformed into a black demonic creature that carries a sword. "Go wreck havoc.". The demon then screeched and started flying towards the townspeople.

Sage wasn't happy with the situation, but he was also excited. Without wasting any time he turned to Hiketsu, "You protect the people, I'll handle them." he simply said and ending it with a cunning grin. He began to run towards the group of three without any signs of fear, just elegance.

Hiketsu
Rushing towards the Dungeon did not take too long and Hiketsu was lost in his thoughts anyway. Trying to reach the explosion site was almost mechanical to him, because his focus was not channeled into getting there, as much as it was directed towards a variety of thoughts ranging from "Why did I agree to this?" and "I don't feel like saving anyone today" to "Might as well kill some dark mages" and "How long would it take to clean blood off my fists?". As soon as they got there, Sage noticed right away that the Rune Knights were not as numerous as they should be, a direct consequence of the on-going war, but Hiketsu did not consider that information useful. It was natural for the number of guards to be slightly - or in this case noticeably reduced during times of war.

The main act seemed to be formed by three dark mages that couldn't refrain from laughing at the Rune Knights. A purple haired witch, a giant dark skinned man and a mysterious looking guy who was probably just a poor cosplayer, not the dark magician he intended to look like. Either way, it seemed to be a boring group which wouldn't cause that much distress. Hiketsu went as far as assuming they were low ranked dark mages with nothing better to do. After all, all underlings wanted to build a reputation for themselves.

By the time the mysterious magician transformed his cloak into a demonic beast, Sage already decided to take control of the situation. He started charging towards the three dark mages while telling Hiketsu to protect the people, which was exactly what the adventurer did not want to bother with. Unfortunately, Hiketsu did not receive any chance to reply and complain, especially in the middle of a somewhat dangerous situation, and that lead to him starting to accelerate in the direction of the people.

Hiketsu did not have any sword on him, therefore handling the demon was going to be more of a close combat type of matter. As the creature was flying towards the townspeople, the adventurer was now running at his full speed and decided to dash in to close the gap. In the next second, between those in danger and the demon were Hiketsu's fists, put up in a guarding stance. As the demon was getting closer, Hiketsu noticed an opening. It allowed him to grab the demon by the arm and use that momentum to throw the creature into a wall, dealing barely any damage.

"Oi, Sage, throw me a pipe or anything similar to a sword if you see any. I only got rocks and fists over here."
Hiketsu yelled in an attempt to grab Sage's attention briefly.

Sage Meilyr
The fun was about to begin, Hiketsu was doing all well the way Sage saw it. He had just realized that his Joyan friend did not have the exclusive samurai sword, the katana, with him, which was quite a shame as it was something Sage would really like to see. He advanced closer towards the group to make them notice his presence, "Greetings gentlemen." he greeted them with a sly smile on his face. "Who are you?" the dark-skinned giant asked him. Sage could only smile even more, "Sage, the Magus." he answered simply and immediately opens up his palm, a purple energy orb conjured in his palm and he swung his arm, releasing the energy orb towards the trio, exploding as it reached them.

The Magus heard the demand of the samurai and looked around him, the rune knights that had fallen had their own swords. Sage pointed his hand towards the sword closes to Hiketsu, purplish energy engulfed both his hand and the sword, the sword began to levitate and Sage moved his hand and the sword went flying towards Hiketsu's direction, "Catch this!" he shouted from the distance, warning him of the incoming sword. When he turned his gaze back towards the group of trio, they were standing back up. The damage from his spell wasn't that strong, showing that they were dealing with low ranked mages that might just wanna make a name of themselves but simply don't deserve it. The magician growled and pointed at Sage with his hand, cards then went flying towards his direction. Sage leaped to the side to avoid the incoming cards.

Hiketsu
When Hiketsu asked Sage for anything similar to a sword, he did not expect the magus to make a sword fly right towards the adventurer. Apparently magically gifted individuals can do much more than it meets the eye and Sage's telekinesis was proof of that. As the sword was coming in Hiketsu's direction, he extended his arm up and grabbed it as soon as Sage warned him to catch it, thanking the mage promptly.

The adventurer was now standing in a fighting stance, with the sword held in the right hand, pointed at the demonic creature, and the other arm being kept behind his back, elegantly. The sword Sage gave him was the basic Rune Knight arming sword, which meant it was on the shorter side of the spectrum, and required only one arm for swinging. Unlike katanas, these medieval swords had more weight to them and were not as swift and sharp as Hiketsu would have enjoyed.

The demon, after recovering itself from the impact, started charging towards Hiketsu, who prepared for the clash patiently. The creature lunged, aiming on using its claws to stab Hiketsu's stomach, but the adventurer left himself open on purpose. As the claws got closer, Hiketsu swung his sword to meet the side of the demon, while turning his upper body in a motion which allowed him to dodge the lunge almost perfectly. The creature was struck in the side by the arming sword, clearly caught undefended as the blade sunk deeper into its skin, purple blood being visible from the wound as soon as Hiketsu finished the slash.

His foe, subsequently positioned a few centimetres behind, had its back facing Hiketsu's, allowing for what was intended to be a head level rotation with the adventurer's blade aiming for the neck of the demon, but as soon as Tsu started the motion, he felt a stabbing pain on his chest, followed by a warm liquid flowing from inside out. As he looked down, he noticed the dodge from earlier allowed the demon to slash his chest on surface level, enough to inflict some bleeding. The pain ruined the momentum, therefore Hiketsu decided to jump back and create a gap between himself and the opponent.
