Odin †

Odin had spent much time in Astera, but ultimately it had been a failure. Everything had gone wrong for the Lich in the port town. He had lost Arisa, his love, the only woman he had ever truly cared about, forever. She had always been searching for him, but he had pushed her away for real this time. He had to accept this new state and move on. From now on, she was nothing to him, another nephilim that wished him dead. All nephilim were enemies, that was a fact of life that Odin had to understand and get used to. His best friend Kon and now his lover, they were his sworn enemies, and would destroy him if they ever got the chance. There was no reason to pretend otherwise. Odin was a monster, and they would treat him as such.

The other mistake Odin had made, as he made preparations to leave, was making too much noise. After failing to see one of the demonic portals up close -to study for HER- Odin had taken his anger out on the people. Anyone that got in his way, or even slightly pissed him off, they had felt his fury. He had broken bones and blades of three different people. While he saw nothing inherently wrong with this action, it would pass his name onto more and more people, which would only bring him more enemies. He had to get stronger to face new foes, but even the fodder could have strength in numbers. Odin would have to gain new strength to be able to keep up with everyone that wanted to see him dead.

There had been one good thing to come out of Astera: Erebus. The man seemed to be something of an ally to Odin, or at the very least he wasn't an enemy for now. The Lich didn't know who to trust, and the list of people he could was slowly reaching zero, but Erebus seemed like someone that could be counted on, provided their goals were the same. Odin knew, just as he believed Erebus did, that they could turn foes in an instant should either's allegiances change. It was an alliance, but there was yet to be any trust between the two of them. Perhaps that would change, but only time would tell.

His journey through Fiore, crossing from the west of the country and moving into the centre, was rather fruitful. It took a few days, the Lich choosing to move slowly and focus on himself as he did so. He found a travelling merchant on the way, and purchased for himself an impressive set of armour, one that came with an interesting ability. Should anyone break the armour, they would suffer more damage. It was a strong set, much stronger that the crappy armour Odin had previously been wearing, which he simply discarded at the side of the road. It was meaningless to him now.

Another notable change for the Lich was his magic. In Astera, he had felt his magical powers fading. It had been slow, but definite, and now Odin had lost all connection to his Avalanche magic. But as one door closed another opened and that was definitely the case for Odin. His travels had brought him more in touch with nature, despite his undead physique, and that had culminated in the awakening of a new power: the ability to control nature through poison. He could use the natural world around him to attack, but he also had the ability to use poisons and affect his enemies, slowly wearing them down before finishing them off. For the eternal Lich, it was the perfect power.

Soon enough Odin got to Era, a location he hadn't visited in some time. He wondered, as he passed through the gates, what kind of mischief he would get up to while he was here.
