Client:

Inspector Nilan: Since his arrival at Orchidia, Nilan has been doing nothing but improving the relations between the community and law enforcement. He used to be an operator among the higher ranks in the rune knights. He quit the rune knights to spend more time with his sick wife, who died not much later. After rejoining the ranks, he was dispatched to Orchidia.

Summary: Inspector Nilan has sent word, requesting your presence once again to discuss the beanstalk incident. He has been overwhelmed with disturbing reports from those who were at the Orchidia Forest and requests you to investigate the situation.

Enemies: None

Objective: Find out what has changed within the forest and retrieve more samples for Inspector Nilan.

Extra Rewards: None

Details:

Create a topic in Orchidia's Forest Outskirts.
At the edge of the forest, you will find Inspector Nilan surrounded by several scientists, all claiming multiple hypothesis and requesting more samples to experiment with.
Upon seeing you, the Inspector will excuse himself from the crowd and come to explain the situation to you.
He will tell you that the cause of the overgrowth of the plant is related to some careless use of magic, but he needs more samples to know for sure.
There have been reports that the plant originates from Orchidia Forest. After giving you several sampling devices, Nilan will request you to go deeper into the forest to retrieve more samples.
Upon reaching the woods, you will notice that the vines continue to grow everywhere along the way, despite having the plant chopped off.
Collect anything that appears strange to you, such as plants with bright, eccentric colours, oversized mushrooms, etc.
While doing so, you begin to notice that there's something very wrong with the forest, as if it was drawing your life energy and mana away.
Leave the forest quickly and return to Inspector Nilan to hand over the samples. He will thank you for your efforts and reward you.
