Today was the second day that Rishi had been in the town of Marigold, and she had already been on another request. She had kind of been annoyed with herself for working so much, but that train ride had really put her down in her daily income, and she needed to get it back to normal. Today she had been working for someone named Farmer Jim, and she was supposed to be helping him with some deer. She honestly didn't know why she had agreed to do this job, as she couldn't stand to see animals go, and she really didn't want to be doing it for money. She needed it though so she was going to have to do it wether she liked it or not. She had brushed both Venus' and her own hair, and then set out into the streets of Marigold, going down to the farmlands.

She honestly couldn't believe she could  bring herself to take such a job, animals going to suffer for her getting money. She could understand the annoyance of the deer coming into the farmland and eating the plants and messing up the dirt but there was no need to kill them, even if some people did think they were tasty. What if someone saw you messing up their blankets and going through their refridgerator? Would they send someone else along to kill you? I didn't think so. Rishi really didn't understand why some people had to, just had to be so cruel to animals. You have a farm, eat your veggies, not the animals! There was no turning back now though and she would have do complete what she was going down to do, and she couldn't let anything stop that, not even her feelings.

She approached the farmlands and had just sat down. She hadn't eaten all day, and right out in the open fields had seemed like a perfect place to eat. She reached into her bag and pulled out a snack for Venus, and a sandwich for herself, with a small bottle of lemonade for her drink. She had packed some of her homemade cookies for herself, and some small macaroons for Venus. He seemed to love her macaroons, and honestly, she really loved them too.

She was almost finished with her sandwich when she had heard a rustle in a bush behind her. She turned around and saw that there was nothing there, but when she faced back the way she was she saw that the last of her sandwich was gone. She knew that this had to be the work of the deers, and she wasn't going to let them get away with it. She saved the best part of her lunch for last, and now that it was gone, she had nothing left to look forward to but her cookies and the happy face of her companion eating her macaroons. Not that those weren't enough, but she really wanted to eat that, and now they made her mad.

Rishi had finished eating the rest of the lunch that she had left, and she had given the macaroons to Venus, possibly sneaking one for herself. Venus' small yips of joy made Rishi happy, even though the deer had really ruined her day. This happened to be one of the many things that she liked about the world; no matter what happened, there was always something in the world that was just waiting to cheer you up, and the grey haired girl believed that was truly amazing. Who could have thought that something so small to someone could mean so much to someone else? It was really amazing how the world worked. She had to get to those deer though, and she couldn't put it off any longer. She grabbed her things and she picked up a cabbage, then the girl and her companion set off to go find the two deer who had stolen her sandwich.

Rishi had been following Venus, who had been following a scent trail that the deer had left when they came through and took her sandwich. She had brought the cabbage just in case she would need to lure them into one place, making it easier for her to deal with. There was a small possibility that she would need it though, so she figured it wasn't really needed anyways, considering the two of them could handle almost anything. She had heard a sound in the bushes, but she couldn't quite make out what it was. Venus on the other hand ran straight into them, and came out with a rabbit in his mouth, it's body limp. She had felt bad for a moment until she had heard the crunching of leaves behind her, and she pulled out her katana. This was it, the moment that this whole trip was leading up to. The finale. She turned around to see two deer and she ran towards them, swinging her katana at on and slicing it's neck, it dying a few moments later. In the corner of her eye she could see Venus holding on tight to the other deer, putting deep scratch marks on the deer's side. There had been a pool of blood on the floor, and eventually the deer's struggles got weaker, then giving up and falling to the floor.

She was glad she had gotten that over with, and she really didn't even want to open her eyes when she and Venus dragged the bodies back to the farmland to give them to Farmer Jim. She really wanted to forget about this whole day, and she never wanted to do anything like this again.

They had arrived at the farmer's door, and he had taken the bodies inside and had started preparing them for dinner. He gave Rishi the money she was owes and the two of them walked off together, back into the city streets of Marigold, and back to the place where she would spend the rest of her day.
