A woman with a mission... Such was the imagine once might get looking at Alisa this afternoon, as despite that cool, collected stride, her eyes betrayed a fierce, frigid focus, the likes of which she never displayed anywhere but in the heat of battle. She wore the strongest (and only) battler armor in her arsenal, cleverly disguised as a sailor uniform matching her guild's colors... On her left hip, she carried a long Katana, resting her left hand close to its grip, ready to draw at the first sign of attack. And yet she still made her stance the least menacing she possibly could... Even taking to less frequented alleyways on the way to the cathedral.

"Today for sure... Today I'll finally take the fight to them...", she thought to herself, her hand trembling as she resisted the urge to preemptively grip her sword. After all, she didn't even know if she'd find Black Sun or anybody associated to them. But she had high hopes of learning where to look for them next time she came to find them.

Despite uncharacteristic delays, the Broker's message finally arrived, and at that point the crystal mage momentarily allowed Grimoire Heart to fade from her thoughts. This man had always been prone to delays when Black Sun was involved, and she partly expected him not to deliver anytime soon as had happened many times in the past. Yet this was the first, real lead that might guide Alisa to one of the main members of that most hated dark guild....

And that lead laid behind these grand doors to the cathedral. Alisa started upwards, admiring how high the whole thing went until she finally had to shield her eyes from the sun's gleam. Taking a deep breath, calming herself and steeling her resolve, the woman swung the smaller door open and stepped inside; unsure of what she'd find, but confident she wouldn't see a lot of people there.

Fenrir was spending his time learning about Crocus and what the place stood for. Now that he was out of the rune knights he was lost without a cause. He had nothing, and no one, the hole in the wall cost him a pretty penny, and his adventures with the young couple were fun, but he envied how in love they were. Now he was on his own trying to study what he could about this place. It was hard for him to expand on anything but fighting, but now along side this religious place he wanted to study peace. He was no longer a fighter but a lover.

There he was walking up the church steps and sat down in the back of the cathedral. He would only study the people of the place, nothing more nothing less as he tried to read their movements. There must have been something more to this place, something more to these people. If only he knew more about this entire debacle of religion and all he'd play into it more. He was confused about what was what, but this was going to at least serve him well. Soon a woman would fling open the door next to him, "Hey it's you!" he greeted her with a smile, "Still thicc I see."

Chasing Black Sun brought out the worst of Alisa's paranoia... She'd survived this far, survive her weaker years by being cautious and never letting her guard down, against enemies whose face she didn't know that could strike anywhere, anytime. And the Black Sun yet stood out as the most secretive of them all. They could strike anywhere, especially if they smelled valuables, far more so if they found out they were being hunted... Thus, whenever Alisa thought of following any lead related to them, she always ensured her friends stood nowhere nearby.

She left Lumen at the hotel, to roll around the bed and watch shows on the Lacrima vision... Or whatever she did on her down time.

And finally entered the cathedral at a time she expected few people to be there; confirming that assumption as fact made her sight softly, relieved that even if somebody did try to intercept her here, casualties could be kept to a minimum.Once upon a time she might have been called out for showing this much thigh inside a church, but hey, these were modern times. A brave new world, with the same old enemies.

She'd come here to speak to a priest not for spiritual council, though that didn't stop her from admiring the inspiring visage, all but setting her soul at ease: The sun's light flooded the cathedral through those majestic stained glass windows, a sight so grand only God's hand could have made real...

Alisa wasn't really religious and even her might reasonably believe such a theory upon taking in such beauty... But then, something broke her away from her momentary, awestruck daze, a familiar voice calling out to her. Fernir...?! What's he doing here? In a church of all places? Reflexively, she frowned and brought a finger to her lips:

"Shhh", she admonished, a very direct way of telling him to keep his voice down. After all, they were in a house of worship right...? Anyone might think that's exactly what Alisa meant, but she had a different objective altogether.

Once he'd walked closer, she'd finally greet him with the same nonchalant disposition, barely hinting at how in a few moments, she'd finally take a step forwards towards completing her life's goal:

"Hello Fernir~ I hadn't pegged you for the church going type...", she all but whispered, yet still teasing him as cooly as ever while one hand rested on her hip

Fenrir shrugged and looked her up and down, "I'm not, I'm just trying to find some stuff out about uh... life." he nodded in confirmation, that was what he was doing for sure, trying to figure out life. Life was strange after all, it was this big mystery wrapped in bacon and battered into thickness. It was scary indeed if you took a bite of life and ate it could give you a heart attack or at the very worst a mild stroke. Life was so scary at times, but Alisa... She was pretty cool so she must have had a great understanding of life.

"What brings you to the church? Praying?" he was whispering mostly since she seemed to devout to doing so, he'd look at the front of the church and back at her. Of all the people to be in a church, he hadn't expected to see her. Maybe she was just chilling out in the church, or maybe she was plotting something... Oddly the purple haired lady wasn't with her, considering how close they were last time he half expected them to be together again but he had no doubt with her not being there.

Stuff about life huh...? True, his behavior and outlook revealed he yet had much to learn on that subject; thus, the sculptress merely brought one hand to her chin and nodded, assessing his words, and then his surroundings. She doubted that he'd learn all that stuff here, though to learn them, he'd definitely benefit from being here:

"See as much of the world as you can... Only then might you find the answers you seek.", she'd advise in the way of conclusion, still not knowing this man lacked crucial knowledge about himself as much as the world at large.

Their little conversation soon shifted to the sculptress herself, namely what she'd come her to do. She actually chuckled at his suggestion; the idea that she'd look to a God for answeres seemed wholly preposterous. While she had come here to talk to a priest, her motives were anything but religious, though she'd rather not tell him that:

"Close.", she shook her head, and nodded towards the confessionals towards the other side of the cathedral, "...But no, I'm here for a different sort of spiritual guidance."

Hopefully he wouldn't ask her to explain even if he'd most likely doubt her words anyway. He had dinner with Alisa once, and for most, that would easily reveal how she was hardly a religious person, not even much of a spiritual one to begin with. She was an introspective person however, who could benefit from a quiet place of prayer or meditation as much as the next person.

But as she glanced back at the confessional, Alisa remembered she had no time to lose, her informant wouldn't waste his time there forever and her window would close very soon. Then she looked at Fernir... Should she advise him to leave? Would that put him in danger if one were to have seen him leave after talking to her? Possibly... Yet she also remembered Kaiba's words, together with her own observation of his power. He was actually pretty strong. Perhaps he'd be alright:

"Look around the Cathedral... I'm sure you'll find something interesting around here somewhere~", she'd suggest, motioning at their surroundings, before flashing him that cool smile, "And when I'm done, we can go grab something to eat, how's that sound?"

"Sounds good to me~" he beamed as he stood up and dusted off his pants, he'd make a small movement towards what looked like books. One laid out on a table the other on the floor. He'd pick up the floored book and began to try to read when was inside. There were a lot of tiny words and an I word was mentioned a lot, but he couldn't bring himself to finish. He looked up at the ceiling of the cathedral and decided to watch Alisa go by to her business; there was something strange about her or well how she was dressed rather.

He'd look at her and smiled, the skirt, the regal look man she looked hot. He couldn't get over it; he could never speak to her as anything more than a friend but today she looked like a woman who knew what she wanted. Oh yeah, he'd put a hand over his eyes to act as a visor and whistled behind her, "Wow, you're looking good today." he mumbled under his breath before turning back to his books. He'd open it again and began to read another passage. "Ha... books."

She smiled as he accepted her propostion, thankful Fernir might probably get away with no finding himself roped into Alisa's war with Black Sun. If she could get this information from the priest, she could plot out her next move with calculating precision; she'd now become strong enough that a carefully plotted, and meticulously executed assassination carried out by her let minimal chances of survival, no matter how strong the target. But that, she hoped, would be a story for a different day. Once the Saiyan backed off to keep himself entertained, the woman's eyes fell on the confessional, to where she walked with a cool, but resolute stride. She scarcely paid attention to the whistle behind her, and had she seen who made that noise she'd have wondered who had been teaching Fernir indecent things once again. At this point, though, she scarcely even cared as she disappeared inside the confessional, and announced her presence and identity to the waiting priest:

"Forgive me father for they have sinned.", Alisa repeated the code words that had been given to her not so long ago, the cold, distant tone of someone who made up her mind, someone ready to kill.

Alisa would have stayed inside there for a good long while... But if Fernir bothered looking around the cathedral, he'd eventually spot something wierd. Among the few priests and faithful walking around the cathedral, he'd spot one standing on a walkway high above ground level, his form scarcely hidden by a pillar. Indeed the transforming warrior would have had to stare for a good while before finally making out the priest's figure, but if he looked long enough he'd eventually realize this guy's attention seemed thoroughly fixed on the confessionals below, specifically, the one Alisa walked inside of a while back...

Fenrir continued to walk around the cathedral; there was so much in here to look at, all of the books were more or less the same but wow it was just so beautiful and awe-inspiring that he had to take the time to sample everything the place had to offer. After a while of walking he'd look for Alisa again, but much to his surprise she was gone, or well, she had departed into another room perhaps? Taking a few steps towards his right, he'd notice the confessional, which to him looked like a closet, but he could also hear voices inside.

"Must be some sorta church closet." he nodded as he cupped his chin, though as his eyes trace up the engravings of the confessional. He'd notice a shadowy figure on the walkway just above the confessions the railing in front of a body, most specifically what Fenrir made out to be one of the funnily dressed men that walked about the place as if they were on patrol. Though this one had an eerie stare as he peaked down at the fancy closets, the one that hadn't shut not long ago.

With narrowed visage, Fenrir made a slow walking pace towards the confession knocking on the door, "Hey uh, times up." he'd tap again, he was getting a bad vibe from the guy peering down at the confession, rather or not the priest would move was not of importance he needed to get whoever was in there out.

Not wanting to wait long he'd open the confession and step in only to see Alisa if she had let him in he'd lean over to her and whisper in her ear words of the man above her looking down at her. If she didn't allow him entry, he'd have to keep an eye on the eyeing priest.

Alisa was having a rather interesting conversation with the priest. How did the Black Sun members always manage to pop up at any part of the country unannounced, and vanish before anyone could tell they had come? And once they did, how could they sell all the valuable goods they stole without any of them scarcely appearing in the hands of the shady collectors? All questions Alisa had never successfully anwered even with all her intellect and information gathering, beyond the occasional theories. Corrupt Knights, Mafia Connections, a network of hideouts...?

In the end, it appeared a healthy combination of all those possibilities - and others she failed to antecipate - made up the correct answer. Most importantly, they relied on a network of tunnels (some even centuries old), and throughout their various attacks they'd successfully learned more about these tunnels that most ever could. And what did the church have to do with all this? Plenty of those tunnels belonged to them, from ages past when the faithful were forbidden from openly preaching to their gods.

"This... Explains a lot...", whispered Alisa, baffled at the information, yet determined to make full use of it.

Naturally, this treasure trove of information meant she was hardly willing to leave until the priest had told her everything he was willing to share; everything she was entitled to. Fernir would approach the confessional unimpeded, however, his walking closer visibly alerted the secretive, disguised figure, who would take aim at the confessionals the moment the Lycan turned his back to him. As if feeling his surveillance threatened, he raised his arm towards the confessional, and throw a quick punch. This action would shoot forth a two meter wide beam of darkness, likely alerting everyone nearby. Yet by that point, Lycan, sculptress and priest would have little over a second to deal with the attack:

"What's the matter...?", Alisa would ask, peeking out of the curtain; suspicious, yet still unaware of the impending attack

At the sound of the emittance of the beam, Fenrir instinctively hugged Alisa into the confession and hunkered down over her. Before she could utter a peep, he felt a force akin to that of a raging flame burn across his back, the smell of seared flesh and hair filling the confession before the Lycan would use what strength he had left to fall back. He didn't know where it came from, maybe above but the attack had taken a lot out of him. So much that he had felt as if his body was going to shut down. Maybe it was the fact he wasn't ready or the magic at hand, but he felt severely weakened in his newly injured state.

Laying on the floor of the cathedral he'd point at the shadowy figure trying to muster the words to out him, "H-him..." he rested his head back and blinked slowly, looking down at his chest there was a small hole probably no bigger than a tennis ball in his chest, it had gone through him, but hopefully it missed his friend.

Lowering his hand, he'd cough up a small fit of blood before laying back down.

She'd only scarcely poked her head out when Fernir pounced into the confessional, making her eyes shoot wide. Church ethics aside, Alisa felt a measure of trust towards this guy, even though they didn't know each other that long. She admired purity as a whole, finding it the most trustworthy trait a person might have; if that weren't enough, one close friend and a mutually respected acquaintance had also vouched for him in different ways. So she wasn't really expecting a sudden attack from him, yet the obvious alert in his eyes drew Alisa's gaze upwards the moment he tackled her, just enough for her to catch the oncoming beam, and gasp.

"Tch...!", with an annoyed click of her tongue, Alisa did the one thing she yet could, opening her palm wide and conjuring a large, eight meter wide barrier of crystal right at the front of the confessional, as close as she could.

Thus when the beam finally struck it, instead of an explosion they heard a mighty shattering sound, ground rumbling and crystal dust hailing all around them as the sculptress' defensive Aegis. The moment the attack ended, his weakened words finally revealed the attacker's presence, and she gave him one last request before chasing after the enemy:

"Protect the priest!", she urged him, standing back upright, before reaching for the clasps on her bicep. Snapping all three braces shut, she winced and let her armor drink her blood. In a cloud of steam, her white outfit transformed into a rather skimpy, not really church friendly attire, but then neither was shooting black beams at people confessing their sins.

Once she transformed however, the jets on her back kicked into full gear, activating Junketsu Jetflight. The enemy had lingered on his perch after firing, clearly not expecting anybody to come up after him. He was wrong. As the glaring sculptress flew up and quickly covered the distance, the man retreated, leaving Alisa to chase him down...

Fenrir watched as she darted out of the confession, seemed everything was alright for her, but he sort of had a hole in his chest not that bad very windy inside of it, in fact, hurt to breath. But, as a loyal Lycan, he got up slowly but surely and dragged himself towards the curtain of the confession, "Phew, this was a doozy." he placed a hand on his chest, "Gonna have to get this looked at later." he chuckled. Helping the priest out of the curtain he'd guide the man to what seemed like safety, "Please get your people outta here Mr. Priest, just get them away from the front of the church." he asked as he looked back at Alisa.

"She can probably handle it herself... Ha ha, bleh, why does everything taste like coins." he clicked his tongue a few times, taking a seat on one of the cathedral's benches he'd sit down and look up at the ceiling, "Man this place could use some more streamers. Alisa!" he sat up and ran after the other two, "Gotta go fast!"

His hair flickered from black to gold as he followed the trail, or what he assumed only doing so after he made sure the priest was getting his flock out of the church.

As Alisa chased after the attacker, she shot forth a spiralling storm of cutting diamonds, but visibly failed to catch him immediately. Soon enough, she'd completely disappear from sight, leaving Fernir do deal with his not so serious injury, and perhaps help the priest escort his minute flock outside. Thankfully they'd come at a less frequented hour, or this attack would have been truly devastating, and most defenitely lethal.

"Wait...! You're going after her...?", huffed the priest, struggling to his feet and wiping the splinters, crystal dust, and actual dust of his habit. Regardless of whether the wolfish man answered him, the priest nonetheless reached into his pocket, procuring a golden cross amulet from his pocket. It held a faint, scarcely visible aura around it. He'd toss Fernir the cross, letting him chase after Alisa post haste, "You'll need this."

He had no time to explain the man why he'd need that cross, certainly not for spiritual guidance or anything of the sort, but as the Saiyan no doubt felt a certain urgency in chasing after the woman, the priest could hardly explain it to him yet. As for the trail, the now golden haired fighter would have to make way into a hallway. For the most part, finding his way to the upper walkway where the attacker once stood - and where Alisa now chased - seemed relatively straightforward. At some point, he'd spot a spiralling staircase leading straight up, and if he followed the obvious path, he'd find he could reach pretty high up in the cathedral, probably even higher than he intended. After a while through his ascent, the walls would rumble, guiding him towards a fight further up. Once he arrived at his destination, he could follow a rather visible trail of blood and cracks in the wall, which would eventually lead him to Alisa's position.

The hallways shook and dust fell from the ceiling all around him as he approached her, eventually finding Alisa in the middle of trying to demolish a rather heavy looking stone wall: "CHAAAAAAAAAAAA!!!!", she cried out, slamming the heavy wall with her sword with all her might, shaking the hallways once more.

As it hit, a loud and grating, metallic pang echoed through the whole room, revealing a transparent, magical wall covering the physical stone one. Clearly the reason Alisa couldn't demolish anything in this room had to do with this exact ward, which no matter of brute force could cut through.

Fenrir caught the cross and nodded, "Thanks, old timer." with parting words he'd chase after Alisa and her assailant in full Super Saiyan stride, a faint trail of golden mana chased behind him as he held the cross in a tight grip. Gritting his teeth, he'd ignore the pain in his chest and continue his chase rumbling up the stairs in haste as civilians dotted every which way out of the cathedral. He'd pace up and around as he looked for her before a faint trail of blood caught his attention, he'd follow it along until he'd hear what sounded like screaming his ears would lead him the rest of the way.

"Alisa! Are you hurt?" he'd look her over, her outfit making him retract a bit as he covered his eyes with the hand the cross was in, "Uh, you might wanna get some clothes on." he pointed at her with his other hand before realizing what was pinned against his face.

"Oh, right here the priest guy wanted you to have.. uh, this." he held out the cross as it radiated with its small aura, he'd cover his eyes with his free hand as he waited for her to take it.

Still nothing... How did that guy even manage to get through here? These wards looked nigh impenetrable, and yet she'd already wounded the guy enough to prove she was most likely as strong, if not stronger than he was. Halting her onslaught, she prepared for a more cerebral approach, yet still holding her sword by the time she heard Fernir's voice all out to her.

"No, I'm alright...", she shook her head, appreciating the concern and letting him walk up to her. But even under this tense situation, his remark made her smile widen and she promptly shot back, actually managing a teasing tone, "Oh...? Hardly the time to be shy, don't you think?"

She didn't really expect him to understand how much stronger this Kamui made her; after all Fernir had never really seen Alisa fight neither with nor without it. Perhaps he might if she allowed any enemy to defeat her transformed Junketsu, forcing her to fight without its assistance once again. Alas, she was hardly looking forward to it, for that would mean her enemy could easily hit her enough times to bring down that otherwise impenetrable defense. She stopped caring about it showed too much skin the first time she felt that rush of power, though she had now grown accustomed to it.

"Oh, what's this...? A cross?", she inquired, curiously, taking the small artifact off his hands and examining it with a quizzical look. It hardly looked like anything special, why did the priest bother having it brought to her? Perhaps it had something to do with this impenetrable ward? Curious, she moved the cross closer to the locked wall, and her eyes widen as the walls once more rumbled... Without her having to smash them with her full strength.

Right before their eyes, the sealed wall swung open, revealing the way ahead, with a faint trail of blood hinting at how the wounded enemy had indeed fled this way.

"I guess that explains how he escaped...", concluded the sculptress, bringing one hand to her hip, "Let's see where this leads, shall we?"

After tossing her the cross Fenrir smirked and put his hands in his pockets, everything would work out she'd know what to do, and he'd get his hole in his chest looked at by a proper doctor. He'd look around for a bit before she would use the cross, making it react to the catalyst that was hidden from sight. He gasped as everything became clear. The wall slid open with an audible grind as they watched it reveal a new path way.

There was no way he got out of there this way he didn't have his own cross unless... "Alisa, what if he's part of the church?" Fenrir spoke aloud as he followed her into the wall. He wouldn't keep too close as his saiyan aura faded down and away as they went further in. Why it choose now to fade was beyond him but he did not mind, mostly because he was already a Super Saiyan and knew how to control his magic better than most that was for certain. it was only a shame that he was the only of his kind that he knew about.. "Good question...", she answered, not really having a proper answer as those peering wine red orbits took in her surroundings. Despite her brisk, hasty pace, Alisa moved considerably slower than she undoubtedly could considering her earlier flight speed and physical power; she did this not just so Fernir could keep up with her, but also as she'd now entered wholly unfamiliar territory, and she didn't even know whether her enemy had actually fled, or if he was simply lying in ambush, "Probably some part of the church the priests aren't expecting us to enter... Which begs the question; how did that guy came in from this side? Did they actually manage to recruit a priest to their side...?"

She looked at him occasionally, even though Alisa mostly thought out loud to herself, she still felt a hint of curiosity as to what the transformed Saiyan might feel about all this. Regardless, she yet considered the possibility of an ambush, so with her next step, she tapped her heel on the ground, conjuring her Geomancy spell. This covered her smooth, flawless skin with an even smoother, crystalline sheen, and allowed her to sense vibrations on her surroundings. As she followed the faint trails of blood, Alisa nonetheless kept her eyes on the many doors dotting the hallway. Rubbing her chin, she obviously felt a hint of curiosity:

"What if he's using the blood to lead us off course and actually hid behind one of these doors..."

Fenrir watched as she made her skin smooth and even more flawless than it already was, or well he watched as her fine posterior became even shinier the sheen making him cover his eyes as he peeked between his fingers, "You got some real shine to ya." he coughed in his hand and looked at the doors before them, "Well I think I can smell the guy." he sniffed the air following the trail of blood to one of the doors, "He could be trying to throw us off but worst comes to worst he's just trying to lead us into a trap, I doubt he'd be dumb enough to try it considering the beating you almost gave him." he'd rest his hand on the door.

"Though given all of the passage ways we may need to be even more careful, lots of people might be in here, some with him, others could just work for the cathedral." he tried to pick up the man's scent but there were far too many in the hall for him to tell which was which thus he backed away from the door, "How about we kick them in? If there's a trap we'd trigger it no matter what we did."

"Well, it's more than just for show~", she answered, chuckling, thought not really bothering to explain what her spell did. He'd see for himself soon enough, but at this point Alisa still factored the possibility of the enemy hanging around nearby... An assumption that naturally lead to a single conclusion; and a single course of action: Not announcing her abilities, and instead letting the enemy find out about about them. The hard way, at his own expense, "Oho... That's also rather handy."

Fernir, however, surprised her somewhat, and the sculptress raised an eyebrow as she saw him sniffing the air. He was clearly not a dragon slayer... So maybe he was a werewolf? Or perhaps some other race with a keen sense of smell? With the same principle as the one she followed for herself, Alisa refrained from asking him about it and instead followed his lead, watching as he passed by each and every door without any sign of their foe being nearby.

"Well, you'd be susprised at what these people are capable of.", she spoke with a rather bitter hint to her voice, already assuming Black Sun had a hand in this attack. And however could she assume otherwise, considering she came here specifically to ask about their secretive organization? Regardless, while she appreciated Fernir's ruthlessness, she also disliked the idea of breaking down every door in the cathedral, evidenced by her somewhat reluctant frown. Obviously she'd prefer a more subtle solution, "Since he bled all over the place, can't you smell if the trail actually goes beyond one of the doors?"

She'd point at the nearby bloodstain on the wall, but if he lacked this ability, Alisa would instead shrug. In the end, finding the guy mattered more than any kind of artwork, and for Alisa this was saying much...

Fenrir took a knee and dabbed a bit of the blood on his fingers, taking in the scent he'd dart up and bolt for the trail that would soon taken them the doorway where the blood trail ended. Smelling the air he could taste the villian's adrenalin as he realized that the perp was behind the door he had ran to. Twisting open the knob he hopped back and kicked the door open it flying off the handles and into the backwall of the room. With a smile Fenrir wouldn't enter just yet instead anazlyzing what he saw on the outside before stepping inside to find their bandit bleeding on a bed.

"Looks like he came in here to take a nap.. That or he's bleeding to death." he'd step out of the door way for Alisa to enter, watching her and her shiny new outfit go by him as he expected her to end the fight now and save them the trouble of another chase, then again was it right to kill this man? Was she going to kill him? How scary this all could have been to someone who didn't know the context of this little visit.

With his trusty sense of smell, the Saiyan warrior soon guided the two of them past one of the locked doors, where the blood trail suddenly ended. Alisa actually felt lucky, this attack had been sloppy and unprepared, and with Junketsu's strength she'd managed to catch up and wound her enemy to the point his only concern was escape, and not so much covering his tracks. And when he kicked open the door, there laid the enemy, smack dab in front of them. Or was it really?

"No, I didn't wound him this heavily...", Alisa shook her head, noting how this guy couldn't even have survived such a wound in the first place. With a massive slash wound in his throat, anybody could guess his cause of death just by looking, and realize no way he could have ran across all these hallways and holed up in here before dying. The sculptress crouched beside him, examining the guy's figure. It did indeed look like the same guy who'd just attacked her and against whom she'd promptly retaliated against, but looking closer allowed her to notice yet another obvious difference, "He wasn't wearing these clothes either. The guy I fought was dressed like a priest."

Then why had Fernir guide them here? The blood trail had been sure, but she for one, wasn't sure about this corpse. Trusting his nose, he'd soon find that even though Alisa confirmed the enemy looked the same, he didn't really smell the same as the enemy. His clothes, however, were a different story. Whatever conclusions one could draw from this would have to wait until Fernir gave his input, for Alisa lacked his sense of smell. Even her could tell something strange was happening here, but looked up to face her ally...

Fenrir hovered over the corpse when she discovered it wasn't the man in question, it seemed his scent for blood took him the wrong way. He put his hand behind the man's head and raised it, the whole seeped with blood as he examined. His inner wolf saw an appetizing meal, but that wouldn't be all that civilized to eat in front of company. He rubbed his hands and took ahold of the arm of the deceased man, raising it into the air and examining. The man's wrist were slit, he was bled dry like a pig.

"Alisa, I've seen something like this before... I think we might just have problems that are tying together." he lowered the arm and checked the victim's neck, "Shit..." there was a strangely broken row of bite marks at the edges of the slit. "In fact, I think that our problems might just be in the same building." he looked over at the entrance and looked around, there was a more faint blood trail. "Would you like to take another chance? It might lead us to a more promising culprit this time." he looked down the hall and pointed to a door at the far hall.

She awaited his input almost like a patient working for the results of a medical exam, for Alisa knew this man's nose could yield a much greater treasure trove of information than her own two eyes, than even her sensory spell might against a dead body. The sculptress had her own theory, at least, she thought it up the moment she remembered that talk about mages with transformation abilities. Someone could have impersonated this guy...? But in that case, why do such a piss poor job of hiding the body...?

"Oh... What is it?", inquired the sculptress, following his lead and examining the man's wrists... Slit wrists, slit throat, and even bite marks, "Impressive... Somebody really wanted this guy dead if they went to all this trouble."

Indeed, just one of these wounds could have killed just about anyone, but their culprit had gone to a heap of trouble to make sure the victim died quickly. His next question made her raise an eyebrow:

"If we're talking about the same enemies, i highly doubt it...", she shook her head, but nonetheless stood back up, bringing one hand to her chin, glancing down at her feet and the corpse, "Though you do raise a fair point, the one who attacked us might not have gone far... Not yet... he might still be in the building."

According to the priest's information, Black Sun members used a country wide network of various underground tunnels to move both themselves and some of the priceless merchandise they stole. But Alisa also knew they were as secretive as one might be, and found it highly unlikely one of their members would so easily lead her to those tunnels.

"Let's see what you can find then...", she nodded, offering him to take the lead this time.

Fenrir checked for more evidence on the body, the bite marks were there but she could have been right, there was too much doubt for the people who were after Esperia being after Alisa too, it was almost impossible really. But no matter they weren't here to connect dots they were here to track her attacker. Fenrir smelled the air again and darted back out of the room and down a hall, he nearly slid on a bit of blood splatter and ran onwards. THe schent of blood had come again, sweetened pennies filling his nostrils as he looked around the place for the culprit.

He'd kick open another door to not find the perp, but yet another bleeding victim, a woman... Her clothes were tattered and just like the male from before her throat was slit open, "What kind of shit is happening in his church, your guy is making one hell of a mess." Fenrir observed the woman, she didn't have the bite marks but she did have something interesting about her, "I think we're close..." he looked down at her for a bit before turning back to Alisa, "He's fast as hell, how long were you banging on that door?"

The guy ran off soon enough, damn he was fast. Thankfully for her, Alisa was faster, and she kept up without breaking a sweat. Between both their speed, it wouldn't take long for them to reach their destination, wherever that may be, though the sculptress suspected it wouldn't be far. She still wounded the guy, and she knew fully well he'd ran off to that place behind the warded doors. She didn't think of blocking the path behind her again, nor did she feel that might be important considering her enemy had the same key... Though if he'd managed to lead them off course into that room with the corpse and bolt back out the way he came.

Eventually though, he kicked down another door, and Alisa gripped her sword, preparing to fight... Only to find yet another corpse, butchered in the same way as the first one. She clicked her tongue, gripping the sword tighter with sheer annoyance:

"They do that... They've done it before and they'll do it again until we stop them.", she noted, brow twitching as rage peered through that icy shell, thinking back to all the deaths she'd already witnessed at the hands of these people, "But this woman... Where did she come from...? I didn't feel her presence last time we walked through here."
