As Shin made his way towards the request board in the center of town, he was brought to a sudden halt. He had walked about fifteen feet away from the doctor's shop when a sudden idea came into his mind. His face lit up with a self-impressed expression. Instead of wasting time heading down to the request board, selecting an appropriate request and seeking out the client, it made complete sense to simply ask Dr. Mabuz if he had any other requests that needed to be tackled. It would save time traveling back and forth and he was sure the doctor had something up his sleeve. Turning around, he returned to the shop.

"Hm, miss me?"
the doctor replied as Shin entered his shop once more. Disregarding his cheeky statement, Shin cut straight to the point as he placed his palms flat on the counter. "I'm sure you've got something else that needs to be done. With a little money, I can do it," Shin offered the doctor. Intrigued, the doctor got up from his seat and reached under the counter, retrieving a picture of a fern. "I'm glad you asked. This fern is something I need for a potion of mine. I was going to put up a request on the board but since you seem to be eager to do something, you can retrieve this for me. You need to head up to the largest hill outside of Oak as that is where they grow. Of course, do not get caught," replied the doctor as he handed the picture over to Shin. Taking it, Shin scanned the picture and took note of the details and appearance of the fern. "Take the picture with you," offered the doctor as he sat back down in his chair and got back to whatever he was doing. With a request now at hand, Shin took off from the shop once more, this time aiming to return with a fern in hand.

It did not take long for Shin to reach the exit of the town. As people entered and exited, Shin placed his hood over his head and exited the town without drawing much attention to himself. Hands in his pocket, he maneuver his way through the straight dirt path before drifting into the forestry around him without attracting any attention. Hidden behind greenery, Shin could make out the tall hill the doctor had spoken about. Climbing it would not be easy but it would be worth it. The path appeared to be straight forward as well, making this seem easier and easier as every second passed. With the hill found, Shin exited the forestry and proceeded to make his way towards the towering hill. Brushing past citizens of Fiore, Shin peeked around. There was nobody else heading in the direction of the hill. Strange. Something like this was sure to attract the attention of tourists and townsfolk alike. Whatever, the fewer people there were, the easier it would be to retrieve the fern without drawing attention.

The path before Shin was barren and plain. It was a rather straightforward dirt road that led directly to the base of the hill. Hopefully, it would remain this way until he reached the top. After walking for about ten minutes, his hopes began to disappear. Although the dirt path remained the same overall, the path began to take a few turns and bends as the ascent up the hill began. It did not help that the sun was bearing its rays down upon him. Neither did it help that he was wearing denim jeans along with a heavy black jacket. Both were not usual gear someone would wear when going hiking let alone climbing up a hill. Wiping a few beads of sweat from his forehead, he took a deep breath and continued to walk, taking whatever turn appeared before him.

What seemed to last an eternity of walking, Shin decided to take a rest. He stopped at what he was hoping was the halfway point, as he could begin to see over Oak. With some heavy breathing, he took a look at his surroundings. The path he was walking was getting narrower and narrower, and the air thin. Cliff faces were also appearing around him, which could only mean that at some point he would be required to climb, not something he was fond of. Removing his jacket, he also took off his black beater revealing his muscular body frame. He would retrieve his clothing after he retrieved the fern. With his break over, he continued to move forward and came to face a cliff face. Grabbing it, he used his upper body strength and lifted himself atop it. This was not going to be fun but it had to be done. He did this for another half hour.

With deep inhales and exhales, Shin rest atop the hilltop. From here, the view of Oak was as beautiful as anything. However, he was not here for the view. He walked on over to the only plant that appeared to be growing atop the hill, the dark fern. Ripping it from the ground, Shin placed it into the pocket of his jeans and began to make his descent down the hill the same way he had come. Along the way, he would pick up his jacket and beater before making his way back to the shop.

Somehow and someway, Shin entered the shop drenched in sweat from head to toe. With deep, long breaths Shin dropped the fern onto the table and awaited his reward, not saying a word as his breaths would not let him. "Didn't expect to see you back in one piece," the doctor chuckled as he examined the fern at hand, checking to see if it was actually legit. Once satisfied, he reached under the counter and handed Shin 25,000 jewels. Grabbing the money, Shin made his way back to where he was staying, shirtless, attracting the attention of many. It was time to take a nice, cold shower.
