Phoebe had arrived around eight in the evening last night and she had been exhausted from walking. She had felt dirty and disgusting and had paid for a room in an cheap looking inn and had been walked to a room and had not showed up again. She had ate the last of the food that she had brought along. She had showered after that and after finally drying and taking care of her hair, which had taken a while, she had gone to sleep. She however had not been patience enough. She stared now at her reflection with her hair looking like one disaster. How would she fix this. Normally Phoebe would braid her long raven coloured hair before she would sleep, this was to prevent such morning disasters as now. Her hair was going to all sides and crossed each and everywhere. She fixed it rather soon though, not without pain but she wouldn’t complain. Beauty and with that looking good herself was very important. So she worked on that at first before fixing her make-up with a layer of foundation, contouring, adding eye shadow, mascara, lipgloss. Her hair was now smooth and shiny back in its original state and she was ready to go and find a place to eat. She had not liked this inn when she had arrived last night but now she found it had something cute. The room was smaller than her room in the hotel had been but it was also way cheaper so she wasn’t going to complain, everything she needed was still here. A wardrobe, a table and a chair, a sink even in the normal room and most of all a very comfortable bed because she had slept lovely. Far away from zombies and thus zombie nightmares. It would probably do miracles for her mood. As she had done in Era, she decided that she would get to know the city before trying to find jobs.

When she left her room, she found to her surprise that there was a breakfast room and she didn’t have to pay much to eat there. So she headed that way thanking the girl behind the reception for the information. They served toast, scrambled eggs, bacon and the whole lot for breakfast. She would order some apple juice and toast with only butter that was more than enough for her on mornings. She had gotten up quite early as she had gone to bed quite early as well. As soon as she was done with eating breakfast, she headed out to find the streets of Marigold. To find a possible quest board, till now every city had it. The castle on the hill was nice and she strolled past the hill to look at it better, everyone was also very friendly and she could see herself fitting in perfectly. She didn’t immediately search for the quest board that would come later. When she did find it there were a lot of quests and she looked forward to take some as also to enjoy her day to get to know it. There was one for the theatre, who would resist?

Phoebe entered the theatres not much later after she picked up the quest. It sounded quite amazing, she had wanted to see the theatres as soon as she heard about it, it was all about beauty and such things after all. She knocked on the door, which opened immediately but there was no one there. Perhaps it had not been in the lock, ”Hello?” she called out because it felt a bit like intruding if she walked in now. However she had the quest in her hand, so it only made sense to come here and understand more of her job if she would have to work here tonight. She called out another time: ”Hello?” But at first she thought no one answered again but then heard a soft voice from behind the stage, ”Here behind the curtain. Come over.” Well so much for trusting stranger, Phoebe thought. She walked past the rows of chairs and climbed on the stage by using the stairs on the side and looked behind the curtains, there was a room and an open door. She spotted a very beautiful woman, it must be Alice Nightingale. Phoebe felt a little of her bravery sink away as she went to the room where this woman was working on to make herself even more beautiful. ”He-Hello. I’m Phoebe. I found the quest on the board.” The woman beckoned her to come closer and said with a very happy smile, which Phoebe noticed was fake, that she was so glad that someone came to do the job because it was very important. Yeah well not so important as her own job. Phoebe didn’t know what to think, ”Well P..Penelope?”, ”Phoebe.” the raven  haired girl corrected her. P names were not that difficult! Alice walked her through the job about the opening and clothing of the curtains. There was a paper on the ground with the last lines after which she would have to close the curtains and the light lacrima was next to it and she would be able to click on people. Alice showed this by standing on the stage and the Lacrima picking up on her.

She could leave again and be back later. So she picked up another job before going back right on time for the theatre to fill up with folks that wanted to see the show. A Midsummer Night’s dream or so. Phoebe had no idea about stories, she always came for the dresses and so on. The pretty people on the stage. She however had to pay attention to other things as well, listen carefully to the people talking as she had to close the curtain at the right time and switch the lights to the right person at again the right time. It was a tougher job than she had expected but it was going also more smoothly than she had expected from herself. When the show was over and the people were leaving, Phoebe would sit on the stage and wait for Alice to come out and pay her again, ”Wait, don’t say anything.” Phoebe stared at her with a strange look on her face, ”Right. Phoebe. Thank you.” as she handed over the jewels. Apparently the star actress had to think about her name before she could remember. Oh well, she did now.
