Dr. Stephan Mabuz: Dr. Stephan Mabuz runs a quaint little magic shop nestled in the streets of Oak. Though it doesn't receive much traffic, Stephan isn't worried; his real business comes from his underground dealings of illicit magical items. Poisons, hexes, and whatever else a dark mage might need, the good doctor has it - for a price.

Summary: Dr. Stephan Mabuz wishes to have some new hexes he has created be tested. He obviously doesn’t have the time to wander around town using magic on people, so he tasks his favorite clients to do the filthy acts for a reasonable price. There are two hexes he wishes to be tested, and you must try each of them out on a different person.

Enemies: None

Objective: Test the hexes, report back.

  • You have two hexes given to you by Dr. Steven: On a piece of paper, the words imbued with the hex is written, when spoken out loud it will be cast on a target the reader envisions. After it is cast, the word fades away.
  • The first one is called "Stimuli" and is supposed to make the body extremely sensitive to stimuli for an hour, when cast on a pedestrian they are shown to be visibly uncomfortable, thus, the hex is successful.
  • The second one is called "Decrepify" and is supposed to stop someone's legs from functioning for an hour, when cast on a pedestrian they are shown to only gain a noticeable limp, thus, the hex was only partially successful.
  • Report back these results to Stephan, and he will pay you what is due.

Faust Noire
A cool breeze swept the forests surrounding Oak Town, causing them to dance around with no real motive. The people of the town were the same as any other day, continuing with their daily activities. But all of that was to change the very moment a man by the name of Faust set foot within the town. The albino, with his pale scale, white hair, and red eyes, put foot after foot deeper and deeper into the town. "Shit." he would announce with an emotionless face. Lifting his left foot, he eyed the bottom of his boot. "It was gum."

On his way into Oak Town, Faust had already gone through hell and back with the grievances. The poor guy thought every bad thing that happened to him for the past ten years were part of karma. Hell, the guy never thought to give luck a try. Today alone, he got hit in the face by a moving branch, nearly pooped on by a number of birds, and alas, the gum. "What kind of idiot..." He never finished his sentence, for it trailed off as he decided to move on. There was a reason he began in Oak Town and it'd be best he finished as soon as possible.

The streets of Oak were not much better than the outskirts. Faust had to give credit to the town to have a bustling market, one of the liveliest by far of the places he's visited. Alas, he found the target shop labelled 'Mabuz Magical Emporium'. What a pathetic name. But a client was a client. It was hard for a lone wolf like Faust to get customers, especially with little to no reputation whatsoever. The lone wolf took notice that, unlike the other bustling shops of Oak, Mabuz' Magical Emporium was had no customers. Not even one.

And so he entered the little shop, only to be greeted by the owner and client. "Hello! Welcome to my- " he would abruptly stop upon meeting Faust's eyes with his own. "I suppose you're here for the other matter..." Faust said nothing but nodded. It was a given nowadays that when talking about the underground and illegal fields, words hardly had to be muttered. Most of the time, it was determined with a little slaughter here and a little killing there anyways. Dr. Stephan led the way into the back of the store, where he wrote down two words on a piece of paper and handed it to Faust. "Use these spells on different people and tell me what happens to them." It shouldn't be too hard, right?

Now who would the first target be? There were so many choices, but the question was which one? On another note, what did the spells do? Would testing it upon himself be possible? The hidden sadist within him considered the thought for a while before concluding that he wasn't invincible. "What a fucking shame." Looking back at the people wandering around in the streets of Oak, Faust thought long and hard about who would be the target to the first spell. There was a senior who most likely had a severe case of arthritis. He didn't seem to have many years of his life left, anyways. "I'll spare the poor dude..." he whispered under his breath. Or so he thought. Apparently he said it perhaps a tad too loud, causing the young couple passing by to shoot him a look of confusion.

Faust hated those types of jobs the most. Why couldn't the client just request for specific people to kill like all the other jobs out there? At this point, was there any other option? With the passing couple, Faust decided to just use the spell on the male. His arm reached for his pocket, where he last placed the slip of paper with the incantations on it. But it wasn't there! Did he drop it somewhere? That couldn't be the case. He had just exited the shop; how could he lose an important slip of paper right off the bat? It must've been stolen from him right under his nose. Scratching the back of his head, he sighed. "This habit of losing things needs to stop."

Browsing the streets of Oak and inspecting all around in order to locate the potentially dangerous note, Faust saw a variety of magical items along the way. It was, again, astonishing how much the residents of Oak could be presenting despite the small size of the town itself. Eventually, the higher beings decided that Faust had suffered enough for the time being; a kid spoke up with a bright voice, telling his friend that he had obtained a slip of paper on the floor. The man's ears perked up upon hearing such a thing. "So I did fucking drop it."

At first, Faust started approaching the child, but stopped abruptly. A smile rose upon his face, smirking at the group of children and the slip of paper. Maybe something interesting would happen. His sadist side took over and so did a face of a multitude of flavors of emotion. "Oh, say the magic words, little boy." Faust would whisper from across the street. The child's mouth opened, seemingly to mouth the word that would prove to be something deadly. Immediately after, a friend of his would drop to the floor, clearly tired of uncomfortable of everything around him. Faust started screaming hysterically, bringing the attention of everyone towards him, including the child. Scared, the brat looked at Faust and shouted the same words, hoping to cause a different effect or so. Unfortunately, a walking lady blocked off the child's vision. A second later, she too, was on the floor, face blushed.

The kid dropped the slip of paper, crying and running away. But there's no way he could walk away just like that. "Kids nowadays need to learn how to take the blame for their actions." Catching a glimpse of the note of magical hell, Faust eyed his target, the crying child. "Decrepify." he stated firmly. The child tripped the very moment, only to get up and attempt running again. Sadly, he was now limping away from the demon before him known as Faust. "Fuck, you better run along, little boy." Faust began chasing the child throughout the streets of Oak.

Walking into the little shop, Faust proceeded to tell Mabuz the effects of per spell. Mabuz seemed delighted with the results, handing over the rewards to Faust. Covered in blood from head to toe, licking his fingers, Faust smiled. "Thanks. Looking forward to working with you in the future."
