The Crocus Gardens. A silent, aromatic getaway from the bustling streets. Tourists from all over came to check out this wonderful garden. Flowers not found elsewhere were scattered throughout, with trees of different kinds offering shade. The aroma from the flowers was divine, as if casting a spell on a person taking in their smell. Although most of the people were ordinary, there was one person with a rather conspicuous appearance. A male with denim jeans and white v-neck shirt, hidden by a black leather jacket. His red-hair and crimson red eyes received a lot of looks from those around him.

Making his way through the garden, Shin came to a stop once he found an empty bench. There was a nice Oak tree providing shade, blocking off the blistering heat of the sun. Removing his jacket and placing it behind him, he took a seat upon the bench, resting his head on the back of the bench. The aroma of the flowers and chirping of birds provided a peaceful background, one that allowed Shin to rest peacefully. Resting like this was a bliss. He just hoped no one came to ruin it.

Bianca was at the garden again. She was there for the second time this week, and it was not because she had nothing better to do. She loved being near flowers and actually taking care of them. She had brought a watering can filled with a fertilizer mixture. You would have thought that she had an intense abhorrence towards flowers as she had the word in her name and she grew up in a mansion brimming with flower decorations, because it is human nature to never be content with what they had. They wanted rain during the summer, but if it rained, they wished it didn’t. However, having people address her as the ‘Flower of Death’ for the entirety of her life didn’t make Bianca hate flowers in the slightest. It was the opposite. She embraced the ‘nickname’ that they gave her with a twisted pride.

Burning rays of the sun kissed the pallid limbs that extended out of the shade of an old tree she sat underneath. She had just emptied the entire can, which rested on the smooth grass next to her slender form. Bianca sat leaning on a large tree. She felt more comfortable sitting on grass than on a bench. Picking a tiny rock between the grass, she began to juggle it out of pure boredom, wondering how she should spend the rest of the day. Having no idea that is remotely fun, she tossed the rock in a random direction, sapphire optics following the path of the rock through the air. It went quite far though she didn’t put much force into it . . . and landed on a redhead occupying a nearby bench.

Rising to her feet immediately as the redhead would probably begin looking for the source of the rock, Bianca held a hand to her mouth, alarmed. She had just thrown a rock at a complete stranger! ‘Good job, Bianca, that was a very impressive, why not straight up go and slap him like you did last time with that blonde guy?’ Grunting slightly in disappointment at herself, she told herself, “Now’s not the time to panic,” and walked over to the bench, inclining her head and mumbling, “I’m so sorry about that.” She was too nervous to look up and see his face, otherwise she would have recognized him.

What was supposed to a peaceful and uneventful day came to a sudden halt. From out of the blue, an object flew over his head, landing atop his lap. Tilting his head forward, he noticed a small, smooth rock perched upon his jeans. Using logic, it was obvious that the rock had been thrown in his direction. Although, it was not known whether he was the intended target of the rock. Looking towards the direction of the rock, he noticed a slim figure walking in his direction.

His red eyes gazed upon a pink-haired woman, one that he had seen previously. She had appeared at the Phantom Lord meeting in one of the Crocus parks. That meeting ended rather horribly, as the entire thing was a sort of cringe fest. No one spoke to one another, and everyone simply waited for the next person to show with information. In the end, everyone ended up going their own way and it was never established if the people that had attended the meeting were even guild members. There was not better person to begin with than her.

Knocking the rock off his lap, he positioned himself so the sole of his shoes were planted firmly on the ground. Stretching his arms outwards, he decided to break his silence. "No worries," is all that escaped his lips. Returning his arms to his side, he rested his back against the bench once more. Continuing to scan the woman, he could find no visible sign of a guild tattoo. It was possible that it was hidden similar to Shins. There was only way to find out however, if she was a member of the Phantom Lord. "Say, weren't you at the guild meeting?"

Too anxious to look up and see the (probably fuming) stranger’s face, Bianca continued to gaze at her toes while she waited for him to speak. What he ended up saying, however, took away all her nerves and gave her the courage to raise her widened eyes to stare at his. The sudden realisation caused her brows to knit together to form a confused expression. “Wait a second . . . you seem oddly familiar,” she stated. Looking him up and down as though he was a specimen of sorts, Bianca recalled the memory of meeting him at the Phantom Lord guild meeting that had resulted in nothing but confusion, as nobody could tell the reason of the meeting itself, or even if any of the participants were even from Phantom Lord in the first place. It was the meeting that she abandoned when her paranoia took over her reasoning.

As it did, again. Despite the discord of mumblings in the back of her mind to appease her curiosity, she held her tongue. ‘Am I sure that he is from Phantom Lord? No. Am I sure that he’s the one I even met? No.’ A mental sigh brought her back to reality as she blinked a little, making sure that she had heard the stranger correctly before answering with a delighted look. “Yes I was. This means that you’re also the person I remember from the meeting. It’s nice to meet you again, I guess . . .” she trailed off, reminding herself that she had just tossed a rock at him. She could at least give him her name to compensate for that. “I’m sorry again, about that,” she began with a nervous laugh, “you can call me Bianca.”

"I'm Shin," he responded. In the end, part of his assumption turned out to be correct. She was at the meeting yet that did not mean she was a member of the guild. It was possible she was undercover for another guild, attempting to obtain information on Phantom Lord. He would need to be cautious of what he said around her, until he was confident she was apart of the same guild as him. The best way to begin would be to initiate a conversation.

Bending down, he grabbed the rock that had hit him earlier. It's smooth surface felt great in his hands. With the right toss and speed, it could be a deadly weapon. A suspicious thought crept into his mind as he scanned the rock. It was possible Bianca had attempted to strike him in the head, hoping to knock him unconscious but in the end, failed miserably. Glancing the area around them, he noticed a tree to his left. A perfect target. With the rock in hand, he tossed it towards the tree using a burst of magic to propel it. The rock made direct impact with the trunk of the tree, leaving behind a visible mark. "Lucky I wasn't the tree, huh?"

The nerve ball had somehow untangled itself as the stranger introduced himself as ‘Shin’. This gave her a reason to smile. Not only did he respond in a calm manner after being hit by a rock, but he also exchanged names with her. She couldn’t understand why he was behaving this way, yet it made her pleased in a way. “Shin,” she repeated after him. It sounded like one of those common names, but he was honestly the first ‘Shin’ that she had ever known. However polite and amiable he seemed, Bianca still hesitated to disclose the information that she was from the Phantom Lord guild. She found not the slightest of a sign of the tattoo to prove he was a phantom. It was impressive, really, if he was from the same guild as herself. He gave away nothing to show it, not even in the slightest.

Bianca’s line of sight followed the path of the rock as it darted through the air from Shin’s hand which at the same moment caused her to sense a surge of magical energy, striking directly at the trunk of the tree where it left a mark that would stay there for a while. Blinking, she averted her gaze, aquamarine orbs locking onto Shin’s face as if she expected him to say something, which he did. “Lucky I wasn't the tree, huh?”

Alarm bells went off in the pinkette’s head as her eyes widened distinctly, her brain interpreting his words into a thousand possible threats. Silver droplets began to fall from the heavens, slowly and scarcely, then all at once. It was a sign. Everytime it rained before her predicting it, something significant happened, and Bianca had always been careful not to get caught in the middle of it. ‘This has to be a sign, right?’ Before she lost the chance to take control of the situation, she spun on her heels and sprinted in the opposite direction, hoping that if ‘Shin’ was about to act with ill intent, at least she had put a lot of space between them. In the situation that Shin was not an enemy and meant no threat with what he said, he would have been incredibly bewildered by her paranoia-induced reaction. But if that was the case, would he follow her to convince her he was no foe, or just ignore her and continue with his day?

As clouds of grey formed above, a silver droplet of rain brushed against his cheek. The single droplet of rain brought with it a many more. Not before long, heavy rainfall began to drench those that were caught up by it. Not moving from his spot, Shin allowed the rain to hit his face as it provided a soothing effect. Before he could do anything, he heard the sound of movement to his right. Taking off in the rain, Bianca had darted off from Shin. His crimson hued eyes opened wide, as a grin formed upon his lips. Lifting himself off the bench, he cracked his neck. Her first mistake was attempting to strike Shin. The second was pretending to be a Phantom Lord member. And the third mistake was attempting to run away.

Wasting no time, Shin took off from his spot. With blistering speed, the length of his legs allowed to him to take long strides, covering a larger area in a shorter amount of time. The rain struck against his frame, as his red hair danced with the wind. There was little reason to believe she was apart of the Phantom Lord. She simply ran away from Shin, without saying a word. If she thought Shin would let her get away, she had another thing coming. As adrenaline began to kick in, Shin narrowed his gaze onto her. He was like a predator locked onto its prey, unwilling to let anything derail him from getting to his meal. The hunt was officially on.

The threat was even clearer the moment she heard the sound of footsteps pounding rapidly behind her. He was following her, but instead of shouting things like “Wait! I’m not your enemy!” or “Hey don’t run!” he simply ran after her like a predator, as if he did mean harm. Bianca could do nothing but panic at this point. She didn’t want to get hurt, nor did she want to hurt anyone. She was enjoying her time out of her hazardous phase. It was tiring to run, even more tiring to run and have a panic-stricken mind at the same time. ‘No, no, no, no, no.’ Losing her way in a section of the park that she wasn’t familiar with, Bianca came to a sort of broken down part of the wall that surrounded the park. Perfect. At least she was going to get out alive. Taking a glance back, she thought she noticed a flash of red, but there was plenty of time for her to climb out through the hole and run to the inn she was staying in.

It wasn’t safe anymore. It wasn’t safe here in Crocus. Not only was it the capital city swarming with guards and things like that, but now she had creates some threats for herself. If she had not thrown that rock, or wrecked that restaurant, she would have been fine, but nope. She had to mess things up, and just like that she would return to her inn, panting and soaking in her own sweat. The lady at the counter shot her a disapproving look, but she had no time to care. Upon reaching her room, Bianca began to shove her things into her bags and check every corner of the room to see if she had accidentally left out some things. After checking like fifteen times, she was finally content and took a shower. Once she was ready, she picked up her bags and headed to the reception where she checked out immediately. She didn’t care to hire vehicles to take her back to Oak. She was traveling by herself, on foot.
