Her hair is adorned with ribbons that help keep her hair in place, to maintain a clean-cut look as a Rune Knight. As a Rune Knight, Ingrid is usually spotted wearing her assigned uniform, but on the rare occasion that she is off-duty and wearing her civilian clothes, she is most likely found wearing a clean white button-up shirt and a medium-length red skirt, a modest outfit that generally doesn't allow her to stand out too much in a crowd. PERSONALITY Personality: Ingrid has aspirations of being a force of good in the world, to be the righteous sword of the Magic Council. She is fully devoted to the cause of the Rune Knights and is loyal. Her loyalty however, comes with ambition. She aims to rise high in the ranks of the Rune Knights and is willing to use underhanded tactics to further her career, showing that her chivalry has limits. Despite all that, she believes deep-down that being a Rune Knight is the best way to make the world a better place, to fight against the injustices and atrocities committed by evil Mages, and she is very confident that she would be able to make the world a better place if she were to ascend to the highest echelon of power. Ingrid is highly passionate about magic. She believes that her magic is her art and that she's the artist. She works continuously to improve her craft. As a result of her special interest in magic, she has a bit of a penchant for showmanship when in combat. Aside from her ambitions, Ingrid is a somewhat reserved figure, somebody who has a difficult time connecting with other individuals. While she's not exactly shy, she does enjoy her solitude. MAGIC Magic Name: Fire Magic Magic Element: Fire Magic Description: A form of Magic that revolves around the use of fire, allowing the caster to conjure, manipulate, and control the element for various purposes. The caster can change the properties of this Magic such as its "form", allowing it to take shape as a gas or solid element. HISTORY History: Ingrid was born to a wealthy family in Era, one that enjoyed relatively high stature in Era’s aristocratic elite. However, her family’s wealth was drained and their power diminished as she grew older. Luck was simply not in the Freeland’s favour and her family faced various financial difficulties. By the time that she was 15, her family decided that she would be married off to the 3rd or 4th son of a wealthy family, but being bound to the life as the wife of a second-rate noble in Era simply did not appeal to her. She had dreams of greatness that the domestic life was simply not for her. Fearing marriage against her will, Ingrid decided that there was no life for her as the daughter of a diminished aristocrat in Era, and she ran away from her home and family, unsure if and when she would see her family again. Through her time as a teenage vagabond, Ingrid discovered that she had the potential to use magic and that she was naturally gifted at it. Knowing that magic would be the best way to defend herself, Ingrid honed it on perfecting her craft and become strong enough to fend for herself even in a strange, dangerous world. Ingrid did a variety of odd jobs to survive, until she eventually discovered that the more illicit and dangerous jobs were the ones that paid the best. She started working for the leader of a notorious gang and she soon discovered that she had no future as an outlaw, as she witnessed the gruesome and vile things that the outlaw mages inflicted on innocent people. Wanting to instead fight against the villainy and evil that existed in the world, Ingrid enlisted in the Rune Knights and she took her vows very seriously, changing quickly in demeanour and worldview to be the best possible soldier and weapon for the Mage Council to use, knowing it could one day bring her right back to her family, the one that attempted to sell her off like cattle in exchange for material wealth. |
