Killana
Killana made her way down a dock, her eyes wide and a smile spread across her face.  She'd never seen the ocean, but this was gorgeous.  Her eyes scanned the sheer vastness of the ocean while taking in the beauty.  She almost wanted to go swimming looking at it like this, but she knew better.  She was here to relax, having been told she was all work an no play.  She detested this.

She was a Nephilim, she was meant to work, not go run around and play.  Yet she was told she needed to relax and act like a person for once.  She sighed softly.  She hadn't accepted becoming a Nephilim to be called a busy body and that she didn't act like a person, but oh well, if the higher ups said she needed to take time and act like one, she would.

As she stood on the dock, overlooking the ocean, she felt as though time stood still, and her mind wandered back to a memory from when her mother had found her and her father.  Her hands clenched and she didn't realize it as the memory was flooding her mind.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Killana walked home from the store humming a merry tune, skipping slightly with a bright smile upon her face.  She opened the door.  "Father, I'm home!"
She called upon entering the home.  She walked through the main hallway and into the kitchen where she put the groceries down.  "Dad?" she called with a concerned tone as he had not responded to her.
She took her gloves off, set them on the counter, and made her way back into the hallway and headed towards the living room.
Upon arriving at the archway into the living room she stopped cold, staring at the scene before her.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

She jumped where she stood, suddenly becoming aware of her environment once more and she sighed softly.  She had started wringing her hands together and not realized it, and she started to make herself calm down.

Kaz began walking on patrol. Thinking about all the things he had yet to do. Clearing his mind should have been top priority, but with the thought of another attack at any moment he had to remain alert. After taming the tiger spirit within himself he was still fatigued. The battle had taken its toll on hims both physical and mental. The walk on the docks was meant to relax him a bit. After everything that LeeAnn had told him and what he needed to do next.

The breeze from the open waters was freedom on his face. His eyes shut for just a moment. The boots he wore came to a stop. He only conjured a brief squall of wind. The first since the merger of spirit and man. It was controlled and once again back at his command. People brushed by him, taking in all that Astera showed from where they stood. Meanwhile, Kaz looked down at his hands. They were flipped palm up and facing him at hip level. He remembered the blood that streamed down them. The life they took, when the option was presented to him. He did it without a second thought. As if it was necessity of living. He wondered if he could do it all again? If he could do that same thing to the rest of his clan. The gloved hands dropped to his side. The answer was a resounding yes.

He moved forward peering at the water, getting used to untamed hair he word now in civilized lands and no longer running in the wilds. Although a large part of him wished he was. It wasn't long before he stumbled upon someone starring off almost absent minded and lost in thought.

She jumped and was wringing her hands together. It reminded him of his time on the beach. Those days where he ran around doing simple quests. In foresight they had given him so much joy that he didn't realize at the time. And now...there was all of this.

He approached the woman just as a rune knight would, "Excuse me. You okay?" murderers had a look to them. something in their eye that showed a different way of looking a life after having taken one. more value, but more often one that valued it less. But he was still concerned for the woman wringing her hands at the Astera docks.

Killana
Killana gasped and jumped as she heard a man's voice from behind her. She looked to where the voice came from and her eyes landed upon a man who appeared to be right around her own age. She bit her lip, unsure how to answer the man's question. "I... I... um..." she stammered, looking at the ground, showing how unsure she was with how to answer the man. Her voice however was full of confidence and sounded like that of a woman who had no issues saying what was on her mind. "I'll be fine, just a passing memory," she says with a shrug as she turned to look back out at the water.

She sighed softly as she let the view wash over her metaphorically. She found herself able to smile again as she took in the beauty before her once more and she looked back at the strange man with a bright smile. "It's beautiful, isn't it?" she asks happily, quite the stark opposite of the person who had answered his question before. Her red eyes stood out against her black hair in a wonderful contrast. Her hair was long for a fighter type, reaching down between the bottom of her shoulder blades to just above her mid back. Instead of her Rune Knight armor she was dressed in a simple pastel blue day dress with sandals. She had her hair pulled up into a half ponytail with the rest of it flowing down.

She turned to look back out at the ocean while she awaited his response to her, just a bright smile upon her face and happiness replacing anything he may have seen before when she was wringing her hands and looking full on stressed.

He didn't mean to startle her so much, as she bit her lip and looked downward. Even though she stammered at the surprise she still carried herself with confidence.

"I didn't mean to shock you. You just seemed so lost in thought. I suppose its an old habit," he replied putting his gloved hand on his forehead. Her soft sigh lead him to believe that whatever memory it was had a hold on her. But her life was no business of his. She wasn't mugged or her house destroyed nor a victim of the demons. Seeing that she was okay he meant to turn and leave now that she wasn't wringing her hands. He Probably needing to work on not sneaking up on people so much.

His boot left the ground to turn him away but she turned to him with a bright smile and he set it back down. She was already a different person and he had nothing pressing to attend to. She was able to push through her emotions for the sake of others around her. One moment she was stressed and the next was joyful.

"uh, Yes," his lips were parted for a moment, and then closed to some what of a smile. "yes it is a nice view here. Its a very touristy place people say but I've barely explored it."he looked out at the shimmering sea with her. It was clear and fish same and jumped from dock to horizon.

Ships moved in and out of the area carrying both cargo and passengers. He had also never been on a ship. He had never had reason to travel by one, but they seemed slower than his own means of travel. And possibly dangerous.

"So what brings you to Astera?" he asked with a gentle breeze blowing. His  long hair was still untammed and flowing how it wanted. He blew a rogue strand out of the way of his face.  His black and white uniform fit snug to his body but wasn't that of a rune knight.
