Fibi Hoenheim
Well, it had been about a day or two since she had met that weird guy with the red eyes and smoking that weird cigarette, that earthy scented cigarette. She had to think, what was his name? Oh, Kyam, right, he gave her the apple! And, it seemed that after she met Akuma, someone who wasn't a Lamia Scale member, two people gave her ringing endorsements for joining this place. The green haired girl gulped, at the precipice of the north bridge that lead to the guild.

This was it. She had to find a way to convince the people here to let her join. It was either join Lamia Scale, or go back to wandering the streets, hoping to find a way to fill her empty belly with what little money she had, while trying to save up money from odd jobs for her debt.

Nervously she took one step on to the bridge. And, when the bridge didn't give way under her feet immediately, as if she was worried the world was out to get her, Fibi lifted her arms up high, as if balancing on a tight rope, and took a step on to the bridge with her other foot. An exaggerated arching step as she started to tip toe across it. Anyone watching this would see someone trying to make large gaits of tip toes across the bridge, staring at their feet, like some kind of thief trying to avoid traps, or someone that was super clumsy.

Fibi was just so scared of the world at the moment that she thought there were so few good people in it. Of the two she met, she hoped Lamia Scale would have plenty more for her to mingle with. Just, have to get across, this damn, bridge. She told herself mentally one step at a time, you can do it.

At the end of the bridge, she looked back and held on to her chest, taking ina few deep breaths before she turned toward the doors of the guild, her viridian colored eyes staring at the door, now contemplating how to approach and enter, without making an utter fool of herself, more than she already had.

Kerii was in the guild hall, but not to take a request as usual. She had done a large quantity of them since returning to Orchidia, which she felt warranted her a few days of relaxation. She had already spent some time in her home and out in nature, all in blissful solitude. As much as an introvert as she was though, nobody could seclude themselves forever, and Kerii was no exception. Besides, it would do the elf some good conversing with other guild mates. Perhaps she would see Eryll again or be able to meet some new people. Actually, she was sort of hoping to make new acquaintances. Given all the travel that she did and the time she spent away from the guild, it dawned on her how few mages she truly knew.

The Draken wandered around the guild hall, looking for familiar faces, but none immediately stood out to her. There were some people off on their own, and there were others actively engaged in a conversation. It would be rude to interrupt them, and Kerii simply did not have the confidence to nonchalantly walk up to some of the loners and start talking. Feeling as she was in a rather awkward situation, the Wood Elf decided to sit by a window and distract herself with what was going on outside, when she saw a young green haired female teeter across the bridge and approach the guild hall doors. Kerii had to say that she was intrigued. She had never seen this girl before and was rather interested to see where this would lead.

Fibi Hoenheim
She was so busy with trying to prepare herself mentally for approaching the doors and staring them down, that when she tried to get close to it and they opened up, she leaped backwards in surprise, and promptly landed on her back side. The kind of thud that would send a jolt up and down the spine of someone unfortunate enough to fall in such a manner. Fibi reached back to rub her rump from the bump as she was dumped on to the floor by her own devices.

Slowly standing up, she winced a bit, and then looked up at the person in front of her, an elf, judging by the ears. It was exciting to see an elf, but, she wasn't really sure who this person was, other than a Lamia Scale member most likely, but, Fibi wasn't sure how they were, just, not yet.

So, she had to approach carefully, one step forward to see if the person reacted in a way that was unfavorable. But, if no violent action would come her way, Fibi would take one more step forward and raise a hand gingerly, "Uh, hello there, I -- I was told I should come here by a few people if I need a place to stay." She thought for a moment and then quickly corrected herself, "I don't mean like, an inn, or a tavern, or anything like that! I was actually wanting to join, I met this guy, Kyam. He said I could come here and see about joining, I, don't really have anywhere else to go."

She picked her words out carefully, pausing every now and then while nervously wringing her hands together, rubbing the back of her neck and the like.

It appeared as if the green-haired girl was going to enter the guild hall. Kerii supposed that it would be best if there was someone there to greet her, rather than her just awkwardly standing waiting for someone do to something. The elf did not recognize her at all, so she didn't believe she was part of the guild, though that assumption could be entirely wrong. Based on how nervous she appeared to be though, the former assumption was likely to be true.

When the petite girl opened the doors to the guild hall, Kerii stood there with a welcoming smile. Evidently, someone told her to go to Lamia Scale if she ever needed a place to say. Elaborating on that, she clarified that she did not mean in the sense of something like a hotel. She wanted to join the guild, and even said that a person named Kyam said she could. "Kyam?" The name sounded vaguely familiar. She was fairly certain she had not met this person before, but she could have sworn she heard it somewhere before. The elf slowly nodded her head, as if confirming that he could definitely be a member of Lamia Scale.

"We're always open to new members," Kerii said in reply to the green-haired girl's statement about having nowhere else to go. "Though it'd be nice to know a few things about you first, like your name... And potentially some background? We are a light guild after all." She was certain that there were quite a few members with some spotty backstories. It was only natural, especially in this imperfectly magical world they lived in, but she had to be sure that there were not any glaring issues.

Daiko Flayme
“Fetch!” Daiko called out to Coda as he threw the branch out. The raptor came up in a whirl and grabbed the branch midair with her talons in such precision that Daiko finally began to see improvement in her catching and accuracy. She was growing into a fine predator thanks to his teachings, it appeared. That meant that if the worst happened and she would have to fend for her own, she would succeed in creating a new life on her own and possibly live on without Daiko’s help. These were things that he felt were necessary to prepare Coda for.

However, the bird was even more curious than her master, and upon hearing any strange noise with her median sense of hearing - no matter how faint the curious voice was - she would often go for it and find out the source by flying away from Daiko. Unless if she was perching on him, she usually did so recklessly, and right now was a good example. Her wings basked her down the stairs and led her towards the opened doors to Lamia Scale where Kerii and a jade-haired girl were talking. Instinctively, Coda landed on Kerii’s shoulder with big, curious eyes to the newcomer; the lack of a vocal communication wouldn’t stop the pet raptor from expressing her interest in socializing with people.

“Coda…!” he called worryingly, “Coda! Coda…!” He began looking around the guild hall first, and as wide as it was, it took him more than a while to find Coda hanging out with Kerii and their new, jade-haired friend. “Ah, there you are!” he let out in relief and exchanged a smile to the girls, “Sorry for her butting in. Coda, come over here…”

The bird remained on her spot on Kerii’s shoulder, dependent on Kerii’s own judgement and actions, but clearly not to Daiko’s familiar voice and words. She was clearly favorizing right now.

“…”

Coda:

Fibi Hoenheim
Fibi calmed down enough to start talking to the girl before her, with a hand on her chest, she took in a few deep breaths, these people didn't seem like the type that would want to capitalize on her bounty from Bosco, so, she could relax around here, for now. "I'm Fibi, I came here from Bosco, I, don't have anything left back home, and I heard how welcoming Fiore was." She said while puffing her cheeks out, poking her index fingers together as she explained part of, but not all of her situation. She didn't want to talk about how she had a debt with the Bosco Mafia and was going to be sold off like property if she didn't earn money, not yet.

Then came along a big bird, that would land on the other person's shoulder, causing Fibi to jolt backwards, and land on her ass, again, for the second time in three minutes. She winced a little as she hit the sore spot on contact with the ground and grumbled as she stood up, looking to the new person who came out of the door, "Hello...I'm Fibi, Fibi Hoenheim. I came from Bosco to join a guild. Kyam said that this was the best place for someone like me. I'm trying to find something to do so I can earn money. I--I can make anything out of wood."

She demonstrated this by placing her hands over each other and spread them apart, making a miniature sculpture of wood in to the shape of a flower bouquet.

The girl who wanted to join Lamia Scale was named Fibi, and was born and raised in Bosco. She seemed rather anxious when she talked, as evidenced by her fidgeting, but Kerii chalked it up to nerves. After all, navigating a new county was difficult, as well as finding a permanent residence there. Joining a guild right off the bat was a brave move, but a smart one as well. In exchange, the elf would introduce herself as well. "I'm Kerii," she replied with a friendly smile, not feeling the need to tell much more. Not too long after she said that, she heard a ruffling of feathers and a bird suddenly landed on her shoulder. Surprised, she looked at it with curious eyes. "And who might you be?" Soon after, a man with dark skin came up and apologized for his bird, who was named Coda. "Oh it's fine! She seems really sweet." Most people probably would have freaked out if a random bird randomly flew up to them just like that, but Kerii was perfectly fine with it, as she was with most things relating to nature.

Fibi introduced herself to the dark-skinned man as well and once again mentioned the fact that Kyam referred her to the guild. Additionally, she revealed that she used a sort of magic that created various objects made of wood. As a demonstration, she made a wooden bouquet. "I use a type of nature magic as well, though it's a bit different than yours," she vaguely explained. Kerii could create vines, flowers, and the like -- all that would be typically associated with nature. The main difference though, was that it was focused on healing, a rare specialty, but something every guild needed.

Daiko Flayme
Huh… she must’ve come a long way if she came from Bosco. Kyam had presumably led her to Lamia Scale given by her explanation… yeah, it was obvious. It was also an impressive feat to reach your destination, so it didn’t keep Daiko from exchanging a genuine smile. “So you’re a wizard too?” he asked out earlier than Fibi got to showcase her ability. He would witness her manifest a miniature flower bouquet made entirely out of wood afterwards.

His curiosity led him to observe the wooden structure up close, eyeing it deeply with his dark eyes. Coda squawked to express her curiosity as well - it was sad that she couldn’t talk directly to any of them. “That’s pretty neat… it’s so… realistic,” he commented with honest awe of the work, “I don't think I can pull that off myself, my magic would expand and die out way too quickly.”

He listened as Kerii revealed to possess a similar type of magic. Nature was on their sides, huh. What would be left of dear, little Daiko, then? With a pouting face, he rose his hands and tried sparking up a small fire between them to show Fibi. “I-I should be able to do it too… just watch… give me a moment… hang on now… any time now…” he mumbled as bright, orangish blazes spread out in a small space between his palms, taking form of the symbol that first came to mind - the crest and insignia of Lamia Scale itself.

The end result, though, was hard to say, since dazzling waves of fire prevented both Daiko himself and most likely everyone else from seeing the familiar figure. It was just so bright, even in such a small amount, that no solid, clear outline was possible. “… Oh well, anyway!” Daiko hurried to continue the conversation and waved away his little fail, “Do you have any questions about us? I can say as much that Lamia Scale focuses a lot on strengthening its members ‘till they reach their very best - body, soul, magic, hopefully all aspects of physique and skill.” Coda wasn’t included given her lack of magic, but she was Daiko’s little mascot and gently socialized with Kerii through stroking her cheek with her beak.

“And if you hear people call us monsters or anything… just ignore that. We get that a lot.”

Fibi Hoenheim
Aright, she was getting somewhere, no one was rushing out to grab her. No one was trying to scan that barcode on the back of her neck to see what her debt was at. No one here seemed to be associated with Bosco but her. So, that made it easy to relax, aside from the sudden appearance of the raptor that was perched on the girl's shoulder. With three of them in total here, Fibi heaved a sigh and tried to explain further, only to be briefly blinded.

She raised a hand up, covering her eyes with her arm as Daiko made that bright magic, while Fibi thought, this is it, this is where they turn out to be monsters. No matter what, she was about to lose her freedom, this was the end, she was set up by Kyam! Oh, wait, everything was fine, aside from the constant shape of the light she saw in her vision, having it burned in to her retinas for a short while.

"I was just wondering, how do you get those tattoos? I have seen guild mages with them before, and, was just wondering if it hurts, and if we can get them anywhere? I'd like to get mine on the back of my neck." She stated while keeping one hand clamped down on to the back of her neck, to keep her current tattoo covered up.

The other Lamia seemed impressed by Fibi's display of magic, but was disappointed in the fact that his own spells would disappear rather quickly. Proving his point, he manifested a flame that seemed to try to take on a specific form, though it was difficult to discern what it was. The fire mage seemed disheartened about his fickle flame and tried to shift the conversation to discussing Lamia Scale instead. He wanted to know if Fibi had any questions, followed by an overview of the character of their guild. It was highly focused on training in every aspect of the word. Kerii simply nodded her head in agreement. What the mage said was true. As a matter of fact, their guild master recently had all the guild members go on a series of training sprees. It was not exactly required, but the elf was glad she did it. After having taken a break from her normal activities for a while, she needed something like that to get back in the swing of things.

Though a lot of questions could come up while joining a guild, Fibi only asked about guild tattoos: where and how to get them, and if it was painful or not. "They're normally not like regular tattoos," she explained. "They can be applied with this stamp tool. It's magic, so should anyone choose to leave a guild, as it does happen at times, the tattoo can be removed with magic as well. It doesn't hurt at all, by the way."

Daiko Flayme
Well, yeah, she appeared ready. He hadn’t heard her words of confirmation yet, but… they might have been looking at the newest member of Lamia Scale right here and now. Daiko’s smile grew a little as Kerii explained the use of their stamp tool to mark newer members with the Lamia insignia. It was magic in nature, just like… a lot, actually. Magic pencils, magic food, magic… magic.

He turned back and dashed over to the stamp tool to bring it over to the group once more while Coda just wiggled on Kerii’s shoulder. The stamp tool was small and woody, but it was old and revered in the guild, and… maybe he was breaking a rule bringing it here by himself, but he assured himself that everything would be fine.

“So if you’re up for it, then state where you want it and… well, then we’ll welcome you to our guild with a party!”

After explaining to Fibi how the tattoo process went when joining a guild, Daiko went to retrieve the stamp. She honestly was not sure if that was a good idea, considering nobody talked to the Guild Master Shahrbaraz, but Lamia Scale always accepted new members. Besides, Fibi seemed trustworthy. Or, well, as trustworthy as a stranger could seem. The green-haired girl came from Bosco, and rather recently it sounded like, so there was no way anyone in the guild could quickly check for any crimes from there. They would just have to take the girl's word for it.

Coda remained on Kerii's shoulder while Daiko got the stamp, and was still there when he returned, happily explaining that all Fibi had to do was show where she wanted the stamp, and then they'll celebrate. Kerii liked this idea, but sadly could not stay. "Sounds great, but I have some business to deal with," the elf explained, shrugging Coda off so she would return to her owner. "I'll leave you with Daiko, if that's alright, and welcome to the guild!" Kerii waved goodbye to both Fibi and Daiko, and left the guildhall. She was glad that there would be another Scale among the ranks, and another nature mage, no less. She seemed a little nervous, but her confidence would grow with time. All she needed was a little training and some more time in the guild.
