The vampyress was feeling kind of bored at the festival so she signed herself up for a fishing contest. She was not the best at fishing, but she at least knew how to do it since she had gone for some fishing trips with her cousins when she was a bit younger. After signing up for it, she simply waited in the area to be assigned to a group while others were signing up for it as well. She thought she spotted a few familiar faces, but she did not feel like talking to anyone right now, so she stood somewhere people would not notice, fumbling to light a cigarette and shoving the lighter back in her pocket and watching everyone getting busy with the fishing contest. After a while, it seemed like the spots were filled, so she looked up at the announcement to see which team she was assigned to. It was the ‘North’ team. Bianca walked over to the spot where her team was supposed to be and waited for the rest of the group to arrive. Once finishing her cig, she dropped the butt to the group and pressed on it with her boot, kicking it away.

It wasn't nice to just work day in day out, it got a bit of a boring factor. If it wasn't for the Swineherd stall or whatever you wanted to call it or other jobs, which were more fun thanks to the company. She had barely time to socially hang out, which was practically a good thing as she didn't like it. But well it might be nice to earn some extra money and thus, she had signed herself up for a dull fishing contest. She had almost already forgotten about it as it had been some days ago but some of the other waiting people had told her that it was today, so she simply left without further confirmation at the stall to find where she had to be with her fishing rod, borrowed from someone who couldn't join because of some wrist injury, that person was simply a coward. If the contest gave her one, she would switch without much further ado.

Lilja walked over towards the north side of the lake and found another lady there already, "Hi," she simply said to be some sort of polite before picking her own spot at the woman her side and wait for the others to show up as well as the event to happen, she hoped the results were far more fun than just sitting and waiting.

Exhausted. That was the perfect word to describe the knight having been married only a day prior. In spite of this he had signed up for the fishing contest within the Spring festival at Orchidia. He had hoped to have gone partaken in the contest alongside his friends and family however it seemed that Alice had other priorities to attend with and his best mate had been split apart as a result of them being put into different teams. In spite of the circumstances, Kon still with large bags under his eyes marched up to the area where he would fishing alongside the rest of the “North team.” He had arrived shortly arrived to women who were both very attractive in their own ways though neither held his interest. One was familiar having spotted her at his wedding while the other was monstrously powerful in regards to both physical and magical. Given that this would be a fishing contest, he saw no reason perhaps foolishly to bring his firearm instead he had brought his fishing equipment. He had purchased months ago alongside his friend, Lucifer back in Hargeon before having it sent to his manor here in Orchidia. Seeing no need to talk with the other competitors he chose simply nodded to them as past them rather than greet them.

Victor was sitting alone underneath the blooming cherry trees. Wearing wooden sandals, shorts styled with pink lotus flowers and a open kimono robe. The pink cherry tree leaves lit up the night sky like constant fireworks. He had heard about some form of fishing contest and had signed up for it. Right now he was just waiting. When he heard that it had started he moved into position near the north side where he had been assigned. Making his way to a place where the pond ran out towards the river. Victor decided that this was probably the optimal spot seeing as how fish usually swam upstream during mating season and otherwise lurked near the reeds and murky waters. Therefore he found a calm and looked for signs of fish among the reed before putting some bait on the fishing hook and then throwing the line out. He would have to be patient. Fishing was not a sport for the weak willed. It would take time but he had time... lots of time in fact because he did not know how long he was allowed to fish for. He smiled and put a cigarette between his lips and then lighting it with a small lighter he had been keeping in his kimono.

Soon the other members of the North team arrived at their spot. There were four of them in total — two women and two men, some of them being people the vampyress knew. Bianca replied with a, “Hi,” to the other lady when she was greeted. Of course all three of them were strangers to Bianca since the two she knew looked different from when she last saw them. Once the members of all the other teams arrived and stood in their own positions, Bianca bent over to pick up the fishing rod that she was supposed to use. Since she did not own one, like some other people who came with their own fishing equipment, she borrowed hers just for the contest. She made sure that it was not faulty or anything since it was not her own and she would not have known if it was. Clearing her throat, she gave all her teammates a small smile and a nod each. “Good luck,” she said, before throwing her rod into the water. Since she was not so confident in her fishing skills, she did  not really expect anything big, and simply decided to enjoy the experience of it.

Fishing could make everything more fun than just walking around, or being walked over at the festival right? Perhaps being a waitress for the Swineherd was the most fun, she noticed Victor and grinned while waving at him if he noticed her. They met in Oak and it was fun to see him again. Since they would throw out the fishing line soon, she better be prepared and checked the shitty old thing that she had again. She mocked herself in the back of her mind because this was simply dumb to try but she would see for fun, who knows how many boots she would fish up~ people might be happy to get their shoes back! She chuckled in her mind about her own stupidity again and stood up, watching the woman before her and followed her example shortly after.

Well that didn’t proof to be that difficult as she had expected, she expected to hook her own shirt behind the fishing hook, or hit someone else before the little silver thing would hit the water and she would be able to fish but that all went smooth sailing and she would wait before she would have the ability to lure something in, either a small fish with a bit of luck or a new shoe, hopefully a pair, that was her best idea to get over the boringness of this festival, she would rather sit and watch, but she realized that too late.

It seemed the area in which they were fishing on was bountiful with countless fish and even crocodiles illustrated by two of his competitors collect a large amount of fish in such a short period of time with one of them picking up a croc in lieu of a fish. He had full confidence that she would be able to deal with it considering her immense power which he identified through his golden eye. And so it would be his turn to partake in collect fish of his own. He hoped with the experience that he had gathered with his friend, Odin that he would be able to rival his competitors and even beat them for a clear victory. Of course having looked at the scoring for various fish and animals gathered he was somewhat doubtful that would be the case given the circumstances of a competitor getting a croc essentially giving her the win. “Oh well, it’s only a contest nothing lost if I lose anyway.” He remarked as he stood in front of the water and swung his line hoping to get a bite. It was rather lonely in all honest as he was missing his beloved and his friends who he had hoped would partake in the same area but of course that meant only one of them would win, perhaps this was for the best….

"good luck" well he hoped he would have some god forsaken sort of luck. Hmmm Nastasya was here as well. Maybe they could catch up after fishing for some ale... He would have to ask her later when he was done fishing but right now the line was in the water and he was just waiting for the fish to come have a snack from the hook. He slowly moved his hand in a up and down motion making the bobber on the fishing line dance slightly on the surface of the water. His cigarette was burning slowly and when it was close to his lips he grabbed the filter and threw the cigarette fag away blowing out a large cloud of smoke. He then waved back at Nastasya and kept fishing. He had momentarily lost focus. The bobber had moved a little bit and the line was starting to stretch out. Obviously a fish had taken the bait and was now stuck on the hook. Victor pulled. He stood up and backed away a little so that he could pull it out of the pond. Nice he thought. This won't put me ahead of the others but at least I have dinner now.

The contest was over sooner than she had expected and it seemed she could not catch as many as the others in her team. It was probably a result of not having practice after such a long time. Looking into the bucket that held all the fish she caught, Bianca saw that there was no way she was going to win the contest, but she was fine with that. She realized that she enjoyed those fishing trips and even though her cousins were probably disgusted of her, she did not share the same feeling for them. They were simply strangers to her that she shared some nice memories with. The vampyress held onto her fishing rod as she counted the number of fish in her bucket, calculating her score. She probably had the least score in her group which caused her to chuckle nervously. It seemed the male with white hair had caught the best fish and was probably the winner of their group. “Wow, you’re so much better at this. Congrats,” she said to him with a smile and then walked away to return the borrowed rod. She would then start looking for other things to do at the festival.

Well let's be fair it was a bit of a struggle to catch a crocodile but on the other hand it made het super excited. I mean look at the green beauty. But what to do about it. She had no good magic at the moment to really handle it bit too much. However there seemed to people eyeing the match came over to help her and get this crocodile handled so she could fish a last few fish and she would be done with the match. She stared at the little shrimp and at the crocodile while hunching down. It was all better than just a boot. She was definitely okay with this and thought about perhaps not bringing back the rod or release the crocodile as they asked from her but she would get to that point later.

She waited for the match to be over before taking the crocodile to as she called it a better fitting place. Could she make this her pet! That would be exciting! She would tell Odin as soon as she could, probably on the next job where they would meet. It was a difficult walk to take a crocodile over her left shoulder and the fishing rod in her right hand. It would be fun to walk like this. How to get this crocodile to be a real pet would be something she would figute out later. She didn't even care about the outcome of the match, actually forgot to pay attention to that. Sometimes her mind was too easy.

It seemed he had been the victory for this part of the fishing contest having nabbed himself two Bradabanda Barracudas, a Sicifoam Salmon and two Tartletail Trout narrowly winning the contest over the next closest competitor winning by only one point difference. Interestingly his rival had been to his wedding helping Lucifer serve the drinks there. He hoped that here would been no hard feelings towards such a loss and hoped to reconcile with the woman however was somewhat unsuccessful with her being far more interested in the crocodile in her possession which he had to admit was rather intimidating. He had heard some pretty fearsome things about those gigantic lizards capable of tearing limb from limb. He thought it was brave if not foolhardy for her to behave in such a nonchalant manner towards it. For now he would focus on his own collect of fish having placed them inside a fishing basket where they could swim happily without dying from a lack of water. Kon wasn’t too sure of what the judges wanted so he left them alive for now in case they wanted to release them back into the wild or use them for alternative uses such as a breeding program.

True to what he had thought he only caught three shrimps and two tartletail trouts. It was no real catch and eyeing the others game he knew he had lost by loads. He would probably be allowed to eat them atleast so he decided to fetch a basket to carry his catch in. He pulled the fishing line through the chins of the creatures so that they hung togheter by the string and the put them all in the basket. It was really goddamn hot outside so he decided to tie his kimono around his waist making a form of mans skirt out of it leaving his chest bare. It felt nice. He thought that Nastasya would have won since she had gotten a big crocodile but apparently the white haired man that he had never met before caught a better overall catch and won by a very slim marginal. Victor undeniably came in last and while he was disappointed in himself for that it was all just a game. And so he decided to wait for whatever the commentators or game leaders would say sitting back under the cherry tree to get out of the burning sun. game over.
