How could anyone deny it's beauty? It was different that she could have ever dreamed of. She stared at it, a large sledge hammer in her right hand, waiting to destroy it, but instead faced with something new. She dropped the hammer when she saw two old men, perhaps monks, begin to bow and knell before the shrine. She was more than two dozen meters away. Her clothing covered in blood, and her eyes in awe.

She could hear them speaking, but could not make out the words. The weapon itself would fall behind foliage, from all of the many raining petals and flowers. This place was beautiful.

"Excuse me miss!" one of the bald headed men would call out to her/ "Can we assist you?" he was so eager to help.

A tear began to form in her eyes, only to be washed away with hate and disgust. She would make her way towards the man, her garments stained with blood. Her skin tainted, but her hair and her pants ever clean.

"I have a feline that I'll be the one helping you." she would bow, her hands set upon her thighs as she did so. Her ivory hair bounced along with her ears that would twitch ever so, "Please furgive my appearance." and for once, for now at least, she would ask for her penance for only being able to listen for so long.

Disgusting.  Flower petals falling from the sky as soon as Kanya had arrived in this town, what was this stupidly beautiful place she had just put herself into. After walking so far from Baska, she had no idea why she wanted to stop here of all places it really wasn’t her cup of tea. Kanya body was sluggish as it was still recovering from the exportation of magic that had released from her body. Each muscle spasming within as if they all could just malfunction at this point and time, but luckily she was stronger than she thought.

Upon arriving in Orchidea she had noticed a few things, the people were all dressed up in Kimonos and festival like clothing. She wasn’t use to this,I  mean where she grew up it was always a dark place not many smiling faces. She stood there in the center of the plaza her scarlet eyes looking at her surroundings, as her hand would rest on her waist. She proceeded and moved a step at a time not really acknowledging the people that was staring at her.

Kanya, you should really loosen up,,the way you are now you’ll end up dying before your magic could kill you” the voice echoed within her mind.

Kanya didn’t reply as her eyes was set on something else, another one of those false gods shrine. Her arms shifted a bit as they were crossed over her chest, those menacing red eyes locked onto the shrine. Even she felt herself getting pissed, but before anything she would sigh closing her eyes in the process. She was like about a good ten meters in front of the shrine, it was really out in the open like the last one was in Baska. Her eyes would open as her lips parted allowing words to escape as if talking to the shrine like it was person.

How famous are you, god? Manji? Or whatever you call yourself. Its bad humans confine in anything that could give them any slither of hope instead of working towards their own future, they waste time praying to false deities

So, she had come here to. She had began to walk towards the shrine, which to her always seemed to be more of a grave reminder that she had died. That was how these mortals saw her. To them, she died long ago and kept watch. But that was only half right. She had died, but she never left. She only wanted to be forgotten, she wanted to be at peace. But now, she had to clean up the mess she had left behind. She would do it, this time, correctly.

"You may call meow whatever you want." she would speak slowly, enunciating her words, careful to not skip any details. "But I can assure you, I am very much real, just like you." She would bow again to this woman.

She was put on this earth to serve her people. It was wrong for this new Manji to taint their ideals with the mere thought to take over the country. They did not take people into faith by force, only by open arms.

"Please, fur-give me. I do not possess the power to answer all of your prayers, but I will try my best." She bit her lips, her body stained in the blood of a traitor's views.

And she remained a traitor to her people. What was a god that could not protect her people? The village of Majinoki fell because of her, and now, not a single soul would remember the truth of her orgins. Instead, she was fated to disprove all of the lies sprouted by man.

But here, an animal would rest, and it would be to her namesake, the protector of this marble shrine.

Those red eyes remaining locked on the shrine, not even blinking. Something she could give to the sight was the look, the marble like white going with the flowing petals that decorated the area. She was in deep thought, remembering what Aria said,This shrine belonged to a god who promised second chances, she could only wonder who all fell for this stupid ass ploy probably made up like everything else was in this world. The soft wind that was blowing was making Kanya hair flow with the current fluently, blowing with the wind you could say.

It was there as she would hear a sudden voice beautiful as it was graceful fill her ears, she didn’t even hear someone approach her. This caught her off guard, causing her body to shift twisting away from the location of the voice. Kanya now being face to face with the woman that spoke, as if what she said had something to do with her.”I couldn’t even hear her approach me, what fucking game is this?” her mind flowed with relentless questions.

Be careful something feel off about this woman, and that's coming from me

“I don’t understand who you are, or why you talking to me like i was speaking to you. But i met enough weird people in one lifetime, i rather not meet another one” she spoke so sternly even as the pain was evident in her voice. Even the slight movement she did to face the person who the voice  belonged to even seemed like it was to much for her muscles to take.

Kanya was surely lost by the way the woman talked, she never heard this before. Plus did this woman have cat ears? When was that a thing for mortals like her to have? THe questions continued to rain in. Prayer? What did this cat woman mean?

Remembering back in Baska she remembered saying something towards the shrine but that couldn’t be connected to this. “Prayer? I don't know what kind of false messiah you are but i never prayed, but i doubt any real messiah would  come covered in blood as you are now, “ Kanya noticed the blood as soon as her eyes locked onto the woman, what was she doing here and why was  she getting a bad feeling about this?

The old monks would stand there, smiling at the sight of the woman, a single creature hid behind them, watching carefully and curiously. She was just another forest animal, or so one would think . . .

"Then maybe someone sent you here." she would tell the woman, she would raise her head, only to rub her right eye with her right hand, blood smearing on her face as she did so.

"I must have mistook you for someone else." she would say again, bowing. "But I never claimed myself to be a messiah."

"Her hair is the color of the moon, it must be." one of the monks would say to the other, his voice faint, like a whisper to the ears of the women.

"Then she has come to take our guardian with her. The time has come." the other would say in reply.

Nameless stood there, she would remain where she was, careful to not get any closer. It seemed as if the shrines had gotten more attention than she had hoped for. People must have come to see what they stood for. Perhaps they thought highly of her.

"They say I'm the goddess of second chances." she would say, "Even they can't remember my name. It's alright, I don't either. " she would smile, "I never claimed to be a saint, nor kind. I simply serve those who bring me my offerings. I never intended to gather such a following." she would bow again. She would speak with her head lowered. "If you have come here with a wish, please tell me what it is, and I will do my best to grant it."

Kanya’s mind was so set on the woman before her, that she didn’t even care with the people who were around them. The only thing that existed in her linear vision was her and this woman, Her hands on her side as her fist clutch tightly, the bones cracking within. She felt her body heat up something about this woman was triggering her and it was becoming exciting if she could announce it as anything else. But deep down she couldn’t help but admire how the petals and the flower environment was surrounding the two in such a fluent motion. She  was curious, what this woman was and what was the goal she had, especially with how that blood was still fresh by the look of it.

When those words was heard she stood there, as she would loosen her grip and let her hand rest at her side. Going back to that random black haired woman as to the words that was exchanged between them. Maybe if she repeated what she heard would trigger the answers that she wanted. Kanya never was a believer in god, with how her parents abandoned their only child to serve the Rune Knights, she was beyond conflicted of what she wanted and lost her purpose. “Someone sent me here?” she had to question that just to get down to the fact of this thing, because that would be a mighty lucky guess for someone to know of  her meeting Aria.

You’re right, but why would you answer me, when i was talking to this shrine that is giving people false hope?” she spoke up the tone of her voice was more commanding than before you could only guess she was able to calm herself down. Those red eyes would move to the new voices that had caught her attention, it was obvious they were talking about this woman before her. Kanya had so many questions, but none of them had been answered like she wanted to and that what frustrated her the most.

Guardian? Hey cat girl…..who are you?”she said her head turned towards the monks not noticing the fur ball at their feet. These people was fooled obviously, there was nothing here that made this woman special. Closing her eyes she could only sigh, opening her eyes once more this time looking at the woman in front of her without a word at first.

A goddess of second chances…..isn’t it what that girl from before was talking about? Is this her Kanya? The timing seem a bit...to right

She would listen not speaking till the woman was done, as her muscles was still in pain as she felt like she could be shattered where she stood. She stepped forward as it would be only inches between the two. “Goddess that don’t even know her own name? Are you serious?”she questioned before she thought for a moment. She needed answers and she would get them by force if needed.”What is Manji?..”She had remembered Aria spoke of Manji, which was followed by Manji can give you power....she was beyond curious now, and answers was what she needed.

It seemed as if only answers would suffice. For now, she would tend to the conversation like kindling to a flame. She had no reason to object, this woman was a represenation to how the world would see and treat her, if she could not show her the way now, then she would never see the sun rise again. If she failed, she was destined to her own damnation.

"These shrines are all representatives of my death. As such, you are speaking to my headstone, it would only be natural for me to answer back." It would be weird for her to speak such words, but to her, it was normalcy. How many lives had she lost before this day? How many lives did she have left? She didn't know, and she didn't care.

"You may call me No-Name, or Nameless. The former would be my prefured." she would speak, her tone catching back up to her bubbly personality. She was more than pleased with her words. "The Manji? she gave a little laugh, "I am the ancestor to all of the Manji. Their ideals did no longer match what I had left behind for them, so I returned them to the Maker." she would bow again, "I'm afraid I am the final living Manji," she would rise again, a grin on her face, "And I will be the final. Are there other questions you have fur me?

Kanya
The Survivor

Deep down all Kanya wanted to know, was she really sent here to meet this woman. With so many questions flooding her thoughts it was hard to keep track of anything of the sort, what could she do if her questions went unanswered? Would she just move on and find a purpose while her life slipped away from her? Kanya was lost and didn’t understand what she could do with the life that was saved after losing her master so many years ago. Her body close to the cat woman, it was at most a three meters to be exact between the two.

Wait is she claiming this is her head stone, but dont headstones….mean the person died? If she died….then how is she here?”

Kanya was obviously in disbelief as her foot step back just a bit, even she was in a array of alignments which flooded her mind. Gritting her teeth tightly as this woman was obviously bull shitting her with that answer. She didn’t believe in the resurrection of people, if that was the case Shizuma would still be here. Her mind going almost one hundred miles per hour. She couldn’t wrap her head around what she was being told.

Kanya listened as each of the questions she asked were answered, it annoyed her. It felt those answers was something that was simply pulled out the ass and served on a platter. She wanted to strangle the woman where she stood, and watch her lose life where she stood for her personal amusement. She hated being made a full of like this...and she wasn’t going to stand for it.

Stop spitting bullshit, there is no way this is a headstone, and definitely not yours. Next thing you’ll tell me your some wretched soul that was risen from the dead with unfinished business, If people could come back alive just like that...then she would still be here” Her voice trailed off at the last moment as anger was swelling within, her eyes closing as a fire lit itself within.

Returned them to their Maker? What give you the right to place judgment on other people?! Ever since you appeared before me i had a bad feeling, chills going over my body. But here you speak No-Name was it? as if your some higher power that can place judgment. People live their lives with their own accord you have no right being their judge” The anger exploded like a flame that had been lost for so long, This reminded her how the village turned on her and how she escaped death so many times. But here this woman stood speaking as if she was some being that had the power of judgment.

Kanya was in a midst of emotions, her body still could barely move due to the muscle strain or her hand would be wrapped around the woman's neck right now…

But deep down the thought of this woman before her killing people, and those blood stained clothes excited her...

She had concerns about the truth of her words, as well as the monks, as anyone should be. No one should ever simply except words for what they were. She would happily oblige a non-believer, knowing that just a single soul, was worth a hundred truths. People who accepted would share stories and experiences, which were always worth her time.

Nameless nodded at her words, knowing very well that no mortal would believe her tale. She would begin to undo the button shirt she wore, only to drop the stained clothing to the ground. Under, was nothing more than a white bloodied tank top. She would lift the front of it, revealing her abdomen, pointing at a scar, she would turn to show the other end of it, before speaking any words about it. As she would turn her back to the woman, the great tattoo, the marking on her back would be shown. It was a series of letters and symbols far from the common tongue. Tribal markings in black as well as a single dragon that was in a circle would be made out, but only of the half. (For the rest would be under the material of her shirt) Of the top, the branding of Phantom Lord could be seen.

"I was brought back." she would say, setting her shirt back down to speak properly, "They sacrificed their heir to bring me here. She had given her life, in exchange for mine. I had listened to their prayers to me, but I was displeased with them." She would fold her hands over her chest, she had no jokes for a moment like this. "The Manji are people who serve their masters. However, these people wanted to unite this country and rule over all, of which I could not allow. I took their lives that day, it was an equal cost for their treachery." She would set her hands again to her sides, eventually resting on her hips, her steps still unmoved. She would wait until she was comfortable to near her, for even Nameless had rules of engagement.

"I judge my own people, and I offer my aid to all that offer to me." She would bow her head again as she said so, to honor all of those who had made sacrifices. The names of them ringing in her mind, burned into her heart. "I owe Aria power, for her dedication to never forget me. I owe Wayne knowledge, for the eyes he has allowed me to watch from. I owe Bodak ..." she paused. ". . . surely you do not think me of the sole god of choices. If I can stand here, so can others. Even gods were mortals once." She twisted her head like a curious puppy, there was more for her to say, she was sure of it. "Please, may I hear your name?" she almost begged to know the name of someone who had peaked her curiosity.

Kanya
The Survivor

Kanya, a woman who only knew the pain of rejection since she was younger. She really didn’t trust in this talk about god and goddesses, because she was left stranded and to fend for herself for so long. Just thinking back on that was a pain, seeing her parents that wasn’t actually there and telling herself everything will be ok. Maybe there was some truth to the words that was being spoken or maybe she was just being soft due to the thoughts of her master flooding her head. Shizuma gave her a purpose and a new life to live no matter the many people hurt to accomplish that. All she wanted was to be in Shizumas good graces and be told she was of some use after all.

The pain that scaled through her body, was more than physical as the emotional side of it was tearing her apart from within. “Kill, Live and Survive” those thoughts going through her mind as she was still in deep thought. Words that Nameless spoke earlier ringing in the depths of her mind with no restraint. Even if the words Nameless spoke came to bear fruit, this would mean that this woman understood her somewhat. The path of being alone and the struggle to live on knowing that you only stood alone. Closing her eyes tightly as her emotions was overcoming her and her teeth grinded against one another and her right fist clutching tightly. Kanya couldn’t allow herself to be swayed by emotions definitely not here and now.

After a quick short breaths, she will soon open her eyes slowly as at this moment was when she noticed Nameless unbuttoning her shirt. Those scarlet eyes trailing every detail she could , trying to understand why was this woman doing this. Noticing the bloodied tank top of the pure white shirt, she then took note of the scar being thrown back a bit. Her expression being evident of that, how could anyone be alive after that...this had to be a trick. She couldn’t bring herself to accept this, even after all the proof she needed was before her. Her eyes following the scar and even the markings that decorated the woman back. As Nameless back was turned, Kanya found herself reaching for the woman inch by inch. But why? Why would she even try to comfort someone like this? Before she could touch Nameless her hand would stop returning to her side where it belonged.

What was that Kanya? Did you almost lose your resolve from seeing the scars she beared? Even if they may remind you of the ones you carry, but remember yours are cost of survival

She felt her head turn slightly facing the ground and her eyes closed shut, as her fist balled up as even her nails dug in her skin from just how tight she clutch her fist. “Sacrifice huh? Is that what you did Shizuma? Was that your goal after all? You could of survived….if you just stayed with me...why couldn’t you just stay with me?” the thoughts spread like a fire with no way to extinguish it at that moment. She found herself listening to the voice of Nameless as it filled her mind with each word that was spoken.

Her mind broke from the constant thoughts as another side of her was triggered. “Tell me you speak of killing these people for being traitors, yet you continue to wear their blood as a trophy. Tell me when you killed those people did it excite you?” Kanya was lost at that moment at a crucial moment it was obvious she wasn’t working with a full deck upstairs.. Even her eyes would be open embracing the sight before her that was Nameless. “So all that offer to you is those you will aid is that right? Well you became quite a interesting woman in such a short time, i don’t know about the whole calling yourself a god or whatever but your words do strike home”she replied as her voice was strong with the release of those words.

She listened as Nameless begun to name off names, each she showed appreciation for. Kanya was lost about this woman, someone who was covered in blood as this woman was throwing her off guard with this kind of talk. Even her eyes was opened again at this point, her fist loosen from the grip she had. As the woman asked for her name and her lips would part” I am Kanya…..Kanya Vi Britannia

She thought about the chosen words and the reasons behind them. "Trophy? Is that what these stains represent?" she shook the thought, there was much for her to understand about this new world. There was a lot she had to rediscover, the first step would be the learn the language. She knew her own, but with the mind of her new vessels held into connections and translations. She spoke a language she did't know the name of, or how to read it. Perhaps this woman would aid her.

"Their blood is all the remains of them. To wash them away, is to deny their existence. I could not bring myself to cleanse myself when I must more to purify, besides I have more important matters than to waste time washing myself." she would smile, a bit laughing almost, "Besides I don't even know where to bathe here yet." she said it, almost asking for this woman's guidance.

She would pass over the question, waiting until her name was given. She would nod, closing her eyes to gather her thoughts.

"Kanya, I would hate to disappoint you," she would say, looking down at her own discarded shirt. As she spoke, she wondered if it would be wise to continue with the object of clothing. Perhaps it was no longer needed. She would head into the festival and find some more appropriate attire.

"To me, the death of others brings me no more enjoyment than you getting your meal served." She lifted a finger to the side of her mouth tapping it in thought. She had almost forgotten to eat. ". . . though I guess I should have eaten them as well. A waste of food." She shrugged it off. The woman was all but touching her at this point. They stood much closer than she would have imagined for the day.

"I am Nameless, the Guardian of the Manji, the precursor to the Setsuna. I will be in your service, until your needs are met." and with it she would give a half bow, her head would get no more than an inch from the woman's chest as she chosen her new master, for now at least.

. . . or would it be for longer?

Kanya
The Survivor

Deep down Kanya knew that her personal feelings was becoming a major playing card in this meeting. She was stuck thinking about her life and the way Shizuma her master died, leaving her as this empty shell she was now. She didn’t understand the many feelings that was coursing through her. But even if she didn’t believe in this whole god thing or being risen from the dead, she felt Nameless would play a big part in her plan that she had. This was her game now, she had to take control of the pieces. If what she wanted could be reality she didn’t have much choice in the matter when it came down to this confrontation. Kanya’s red eyes would notice the confusion easily plastered on the face of the cat girl as if she was lost from her words.

The more you talk like that, the more i get to like you. But the truth is how can you deny their existence when your hands was the ones to bring them to their end? Dont you see? The point you can walk around so freely covered in blood without a sheer of guilt displayed on your face, it is a complete thrill, i’m starting to think i misjudged you” the excitement that was showed from her voice, was like this was a whole new Kanya...the way even her expression changed with those lips forming into a smile, as if just talking about this and looking at the fresh blood had triggered something within her.

Kanya! You have that creepy smile again, you should probably stop it’s not that serious”the voice echoed through her head as a soft chuckle could be heard in her head.

Kanya coughed a bit as she covered her mouth slightly by lifting her hand in front of her lips, she was letting this talk excite her to much or the smell of the blood was like a drug to her, she needed to get away from this woman or she won't be able to hold back anymore. She couldn’t forget this woman was still claiming to be a god, which was still not clicking in the mind of the black haired woman. She had to keep that in the center of the attention and try to keep the smell of blood from being sniffed too much by her.

Disappoint me? You don't owe me anything...i told you before i never prayed to a altar. I wish you'd stop saying stuff like this” she spoke out still trying to recover from her mind break from the blood was seriously a drug to her. She was finding it hard to almost control herself, she was absolutely losing it from the smell of the blood. Even she found herself slightly aroused to the point her cheeks was a slight shade of pink.

What fun is that? You should be excited with each kill! That's the joy, the weak die and the strong survive! ..i live for the battle, if i can fight and have a chance to die i just want more” that facade she held up was slowly fading to the point she even missed the last part Nameless said about eating people. But the person in her head didn’t miss it, this was going to be a interesting ride they were going to go on. As they stood inches from one another, those red eyes locking onto Nameless eyes. Just for those few moments their eyes would remain locked, unwavering in their determination.

Very well i’ll play your game since you intrigue me, even if i didn’t ask for your assistance. I’m going to find out what your true plan is, then i’m going to have fun with your life in my hands” she replied as she closed her eyes, this was only a added piece to her game.

First…..we need to find a bathhouse, that smell is getting to me in a way i rather not say….

She was as cold as any deceased corpse would be. To her, emotions were just things to go wrong. They were not tools in her arsenal, but rather triggers she was to manipulate for her tasks to be completed. That's how she was, how she always had been, at least, in her state. She would have no idea that her life here had already been lived out, but with her revisits to each shrine, she would uncover a new truth.

The animal that rested betwixt the monks would begin to scurry towards her, only to brush against her right leg. At the hint of the smell that lingered over her, even the small white animal would take a few steps away from her, resting on her rear.

"Perhaps we shall explore this feeling at a later date." Nameless would add, "For now, perhaps a bath would do me nicely." her eyes would fall upon the small animal as petals danced around them both. "Perhaps a change of clothing as well."

There was a festival, and for the time being, she woudl take her rest from her duties. It seemed to be as if the priests and monks were doing their jobs. But later she would check in, and she would soon destroy each shrine that remained. Soon she would leave nothing left to remember the tainted name of a clan that was all but forgotten.

The Survivor

The game had finally started, and Kanya was eager to see where it would lead. She enjoyed these games more than she should especially in this situations, but deep down she was curious to see what was said about this Manji thing was accurate. A person who gave second chances, this would squash her curiosity in the long run. Besides if it wasn’t accurate she could always just take her anger out on the woman with no moral to really stop her besides she was a new piece in her ever growing game.

So you really going to play your game? With her of all people? I hope you know what you are doing Kanya. Dont think you can just walk away from this one once it start

Kanya knew the disadvantage of her taking this step, even so much with accepting Nameless offer. But that was the thrill of it all to see what could happen next, either what Nameless says is proven true or Kanya got a chance to kill. Neither side bugged her because she got what she wanted regardless. Now her red eyes would look around, spotting a nearby bathhouse which they could use to wash this woman of all the blood. Without much words she led the way and the game had finally begun.
