André Nakhodka

Personal

Name: André Nakhodka.

Age: 26. (September 21st, X760)

Gender: Male.

Sexuality: Homosexual.

Class: Sorcerer.

Race: Human.

Rank: D-rank.

Guild: Lamia Scale.

Tattoo: Back of his left shoulder, silver.

Face: Tsukauchi Naomasa - Boku no Hero Academia

Appearance

Height: 189cm / 6.2

Weight: 84kg.

Hair: Black.

Eyes: Black.

Overall: Standing tall with a soft smile, André is a man easy to notice. His profoundly black hair and eyes are a bit of an oddity, but it adds a certain charm to the man's face that can almost be called cute. Shaving daily for a more professional look. His ears a tid-bit larger than the usual accompanied with his round face makes André appear very earnest, and that he is. Despite lacking color, André is able to get very expressive with his eyes and face in general. Most of the time, a silent passion burns in those coal eyes.

His shoulders are broad and stand keen and big arms reach down from them. His palms and fingers are thick, giving them a powerful look, but they also look smooth and gentle. The man's body is muscular, but not extremely. His legs are tall.

Choosing to dress more formally, Andre has a wide array of business shirts and ties. During cold days he is more inclined to wear trench coats. He also enjoys wearing flat caps.

Extra: His blood has the appearance of ink, this grants him no benefits or detriments. Vampires can feed from it as normal, albeit it would probably be messier.

Personality

Personality: André is an earnest man as stated before. But that doesn't mean he is a boring downer. The man enjoys his life as if divided to portions, with everything having a time and place. This however is not a big part of his personality and is more of a habit, for his desires in general might appear contradictory to this life-style. He is an honest man who loves to communicate in an open manner, when he is joking around or being sarcastic, after sharing laughs, he will slowly go back to a more serious tone to clarify things, if he thinks there are things to clarify that is.

He is most definitely not a silent man, but not in a way that he is a blabbermouth or loud. Having a certain dislike for silence, the man enjoys whistling, singing and having music in the background in general. This also makes him much more relaxed when approaching strangers. He is a bold man, but not indecent or ill-mannered. André is an eloquent speaker when necessary, he just prefers being casual most of the time.

The man is warm and passionate. He loves and trusts quickly and has a hard time finding bad in people or grow cold. He never holds grudges, but that doesn't mean he forgets. He often plays with hair when talking or while idle, loves to use his hands to express himself more while talking and adores light-sarcasm and light-mischief. He thinks little of material wealth, and unless it is for basic needs, advancement as a mage or for the good of a community such as his guild, he donates most of it to charity and beggars.

André feels most strongly about governmental and social issues. He is no anarchist, but is influenced by socialism. His downfall comes from his lack of self-confidence in this regard, making it hard for him to talk about these subjects he feels so passionate about, nor take any action regarding it.

His personal journey comes from learning align his personality with his beliefs from time to time and finding the confidence to follow this path.

Likes:

  • Human Interaction: While meeting people is of course nice, André's favorite thing to talk to people about is what they are passionate about. He aims to learn from their vigor. Aside from that, he is an expressive guy who likes to have fun, and fun is better shared.

  • Politics: A lot of André's ideologies can be said to have political roots. Discussing such ideas in a well-mannered and open way can be very rewarding and world expanding.

  • Reading: Instead of novels, André enjoys keeping up with the news through newspapers. He also likes reading more informative kind of texts.

  • Working out: Working on the farms in his youth had already shaped him up to the man he is now, and he would very much keep it. He feels healthy, and doesn't want to let go of that feeling.

Dislikes:

  • Dogmatism: Pressured ideas that have no room for questioning, orders to follow and such concepts are not very warm to André. While religion is a prime example of this, he is very respectful of people's religions with profound understanding of why they might hold such beliefs. It's just not for him. This makes him have a slight prejudice against the RK as well.

  • Close-mindedness: Something he feels like he sometimes does that makes him criticize himself. Despite wanting to learn more, he also sees that he is very stuck in his own belief, which makes him hard to be passionate about them like he wishes to. He needs to find a balance between both. Of course, it's not pleasant when displayed by the others either.

Motivations:

  • No longer gray: André is very angry at himself most of the time for lacking conviction in thing he believes in, often exaggerating his short-comings in his own eyes to the point he bottles up inside and loses self confidence. He wishes to let go of this fear and this try to be amicable with everyone, constantly choosing the middle path so that everyone is happy. This is more of a subconscious desire that André is only half accepting of.

  • "What about the others?": The world in its current form is where magic prevails, and perhaps rightfully so. But as someone who lived much of his life without magic and grew up with a working-class family, André wishes the non-magic community was not just forgotten about. He doesn't mean the adventurers, but the regular people. He hopes to one day have enough influence and political prowess and power to be able to help let go of this imbalance. Note that not where the regular folk are higher than mages, but where they are truly equal. He realizes that mages and regular humans will always be fundamentally different and that of course mages will be able to get more things done.

Fears:

  • Another Idea Perishes: Fearing that he will not be able to get out of the rut he is, André fears that his ideas will also be beneath the dirt, with him not being able to share or manifest them.

  • Tornadoes: His childhood was filled with times where he and his family had to hide in the basement of their house, or the barn waiting for horrible winds to pass, and even one time losing everything they had, thankfully except their lives. One of the main reasons for him to learn earth-bound magic is this.

Magic

Magic Name: Mineral Magic

Magic Element: Earth

Magic Description: The user of this magic is capable of creating and manipulating all minerals via magic. While the spells use raw materials and just dirt at first, as the user get better, they can create refined objects and items. They can also turn their body parts into minerals or simply make their spells come out of their body.

André can use offensive, defensive, supplementary and self strength-buffing spells.

History

History: Born in a farm to a house of 4 children, André was the second oldest. His early life was spent working on the farm and helping his father and older brother, while during her mother's pregnancies he would also take care of the younger siblings while his older brother handled the farm work. Their similarly normal and boring life had taught André more than what one'd think, both physically and mentally. Keeping in touch with the news during his teenage years and reading as much as possible made him an avid thinker, and even a philosopher. His ideas began shifting more to the reality as he watched the disarray between the people like him, his family and the richer folk of mages and nobles. He didn't feel any hatred, no way, but seeing that his uncle who was a miner was also in a similar condition, André had already had some thoughts about the life of the working class.

Being troubled by the tornadoes and reckless mages often, André desired to learn magic on his own both to help his family out more and to protect their crops. Living with his uncle and working in the mines during this process, he was taught mineral magic by the leader of the miners for his hard work. As time went on the two got close and formed a strong mentor/teacher relationship. André first shared his ideals to his mentor and that was the time he realized that he could make a change by speaking out against things that need not exist. After getting a basic understanding of his new craft, André returned home, but to this day still keeps in touch with his mentor.

Back home his family was quite impressed with his magic and asked if he wanted to become a mage and join a guild. Not wanting to leave his family André rejected and used his magic for menial tasks around the house. His siblings finally convinced him to not lose this gift he is given and go out in the world. Telling himself that he can grow big out there to bring his political ideas true, André left them at the age 22 with a vast pool of knowledge from early school and his books, a little bit of magic and a strong body. After being guildless for two years to focus more on adapting to this new life, he joined up with Lamia Scale.
