Diana
Once upon the carriage, Diana brought out the first book in her bag, literally the first one in the stack and placed her bag beside her. There were a few other like minded people who had their own little books to read throughout the journey. Diana could not help but be curious about what they were reading. She smiled when she noticed that one of them was reading a book she had also read and loved. The goofy smile hung around as she opened up her book and began to read. Thankfully, she was not the type of person who got dizzy from reading on a moving vehicle. She knew some people who were. They always asked her if she got dizzy or not, because for them, reading on a moving vehicle was a big no-no. It could even make them throw up, they said. Diana was pretty glad she was not born that way. Otherwise, she could not think of how to spend long travel hours. Nap? She was not a heavy napper, so maybe not. Sit a observe people, probably.

The carriage ride was quite smooth, otherwise it would have been bothersome. Diana had gone through bumpy rides before and the frustration she felt had been tremendous. It was impossible to read at such times, and she just prayed it was over soon. It seemed like today was her lucky day, since there were barely any bumps in the road. The carriage was moving at an average speed, so she knew she had plenty of time to read. She was in no hurry. She did not mind if she arrived in Baska eight hours later, simply because she had nothing important to do there. It was all about exploring, and maybe finding jobs that did not require much physical strength. However, she did have to change from carriage to train in Magnolia Town.

Although it took around five hours to arrive in Magnolia Town, it felt like an hour. Diana hated that annoying moment when she had to stop reading to do something. She usually stopped whenever she wanted to. Once the carriage came to a stop, she placed the book she was reading back in her bag and hopped off the carriage, ready to take the train to Baska. She knew that the train journey was going to be longer, even if it was just a bit. This meant she had more time to read. The reason she was so desperate to read was because she knew that once she got into carrying out her mage duties, it was going to be hard to find time to read. The train journey took just an hour longer than the carriage journey. Diana arrived in Baska just after sunset.
