Phoebe Rainsworth
It felt that she was still shaken, even though her hands were still, she lifted them up and looked at it with her lilac eyes. Nothing, quiet and calm. She brushed the strains of black hair out of her face, she let it be in a ponytail and she changed into a pair of jeans and sneakers. It would be nicer for the travel, He has never seen you in sneakers before but Phoebe didn't care about Persephone her talking. Even if Victor was playing a game that both of them were very aware of and everything else, she was actually quite okay with him, he had tried to calm her down after the attempt murder, more like guiding murder. But Persephone wasn't really helping in that case.

Since they had talked about leaving town, Persephone and Phoebe had worked on getting their bags packed and ready to leave. It was just a seasonal wind or something that Persephone had said but Phoebe didn't know why she was so eager to leave before this accident. Now she would be okay with leaving, she grabbed her jacket again a headed back to the restaurant where they had tried to lunch, which never seemed to work out for them. Something always came up and that was what annoyed Persephone but on one hand the two of them were okay with it, it brought jewels. She wondered if Victor would be there already and what might happen in Crocus. She didn't mind the bad jobs but she wasn't sure if she was okay with this killing attempt.

Victor Garrett
Victor noticed her change in attire. At least she won't have to deal with her heels anymore was the first thought that crossed his mind. While she rarely mentioned them, he'd noticed the way she had to shift her weight, how she had to take quick probably painful steps to keep up without hurting herself... He cocked his head as he assessed her fresh appearance from afar, making his way to her slowly, he'd initially considered travel by train, but the man was in no great rush, things could be slowed down just a little, giving him some more time to assess whether his partner would deem worthy enough for him to take their little relationship further, in whatever capacity that may be...

He carried his rucksack in a hand, on his side. Upon reaching her he set his bag beside his feet as he offered her the idea of travelling to Crocus by foot. 'Might be better if we just walked it? What do you say?' he asked but laid out all the things he thought made it a great idea, hopefully, he assumed that it'd shut out any cons that she'd come up with, from his calculations the only thing he could think off, that she might complain about, was extra time it'd take...

'It would be longer yes...' he started, slicing through the biggest issue and attempting to out weigh it. 'But we would get a nice view of the other towns on the way.' he said, brightly, he hoped his smile was infectious enough for her to give in to the give us the option of the temptations he created. 'Think about it... we could also stop by and go sightseeing on the way, or we can make a note of things we'd like to see and do on another trip...' he offered. 'Either way, we'd probably have at least a night in each town that we cross...' he said.

Victor went on to unzip the pocket stitched into the front of his bag to release a mini-map of Fiore. He placed his finger on Crocus and traced the journey he had planned. 'Gives us a chance to get a taste of... Dahlia, Magnolia and Era...' he said, scowling a little before he reconsidered the first town. 'I think we'd be better off skirting around Dahlia though... I've heard some nasty things about that place.' he said sagely. He had all intentions of visiting Dahlia but given the way the accidental murder of the Page had rattled Phoebe a little, he wondered if she was ready to take the plunge with him, now was definitely not the best time to test that.

The blonde had carefully avoided the topic of their most recent request, there was no need to dig up any skeletons that they'd begun gathering in their backyard... or closet... His fingers reached out to her cheek to sweeten the deal with a gentle caress. 'Above all this, it'd give us some time to relax without anyone giving us errands to run every five seconds...' he said tentatively, but a soft allure to his voice as his finger traced her jaw. Once she agreed, he'd shove his map back into his bag, pull the straps onto his back and start the journey, one that would culminate in Crocus... The target, the land of war, the famous Capital.

It sounded very funny that Victor tried to convince her to walk. She simply looked at him, neutral expression in her lilac eyes and she didn't say anything. Once he was done, she couldn't help but grin and giggle, "I might look like a girl who hates activity, but I walked to Marigold from Era, I'm okay with walking." Hence also why she was wwearing sneakers instead of heels, mostly she was a trained high heel walker but the running and cobblestones from the docks had hurt her but yet she never complained; that was unlady like and she didn't like that. High heels had a certain beauty and apart from that it made her a little taller.

She liked his logic and his arguments, they could see a couple towns, she could check if she could find King for the short amount of time that they would have, and.. she would be able to figure out a bit more of Victor. Even though Persephone wasn't interested, Phoebe was. She didn't say much but would leave, he was right skipping Dahlia might be a good idea, she had been very curious and she couldn't remember if she had spoken about it with Videns.. she was sure it was him and not King but it might have been someone else and she simply didn't think about it. "Perhaps some other time." She followed Victor, quickly catching up and walking next to him, perhaps this wasn't all so bad. If she kept in mind the game he was playing, she was sure not to get hurt.
