Bianca was not the biggest fan of caramel frappucinos but for the sake of ridding the teenager literally squealing in her ears, she got it and left the cafe immediately. The cafe had some part time workers who were basically high school or college students. The vampyre had come to the cafe to get her regular hot coffee but she did not get the chance for that. Instead she was greeted by a teenager in the cafe’s uniform who bombarded her with a ton of questions for some stupid survey she did not even care about. Bianca was feeling slightly nicer than she normally was, so she took the time to listen to the questions and give her appropriate answers, and later after her little questionnaire was over, the student’s mission was not over. Her last objective was to get Bianca to buy the caramel frappucinos that she was tasked to promote for the shop. Of course Bianca liked her coffee bitter just like herself, but she could not get the student to stop asking her to get the caramel frappucinos. That was price you paid for being nice. People took advantage of you. So Bianca ended up buying a coffee that she was going to throw away after she finished it halfway. The sugar would hype her up for nothing and she did not need that. She had already decided to get more coffee later if she needed at a different cafe.

In order to keep the impolite stares to a minimum, Bianca’s wore a sweater today that had a slightly plunging neckline and dark jeans. So if she still got stares, it was probably because of the tiny piece of cleavage that was visible or her butt. Sipping on the caramel frappucino through a pipe, Bianca strolled along the sidewalk, brushing past some people in a hurry, some people roaming just like her, and some people looking for something. As she walked past an alleyway, she noticed someone she recognized. In fact, it was the alley that she hid inside when the merchant and the polisher were chasing after her. The person that she met was no other than the little boy Jerr. With an amused smirk, the vampyre said, “Hey Jerr. What are you up to now?” What she said seemed to have caught his attention immediately, almost shocking him it seemed. When he realised that it was just her, he appeared relieved and heaved a sigh. “What’s wrong?”

“Listen, miss,” he started, then looked around. Bianca was actually curious to what he was up to now. Before, she was just asking to make small talk, but now that he was acting this way, she really wanted to know the reason behind why he was looking super wary, and in an alleyway. Could whoever it was that was after him see through walls or something? The thought made her even more amused and she raised an eyebrow. That was when Jerr began to explain what was happening.

“You’re telling me that you were running from the local gang members, because they caught you eavesdropping?” Bianca scoffed. She could not start to believe anything Jerr was saying right now and if she did not want to seem nice, she would have thrown her head back and laughed like a mad woman. But she did not do such a thing. She did not want Jerr to look like an idiot, and most of all she was curious about this whole situation, however ridiculous it may sound. The vampyre was now tilting her head, making even more questioning looks as Jerr tried to explain properly even though however he said it, it all sounded very, very much like bullshit.

“Look, miss. I don’t even know how to make you believe it. I’m not good at telling the truth, I’m much better at doing the opposite, as you know. So if I was making this whole thing up, wouldn’t I be doing it well?” he asked.

That sounded...strangely convincing. Bianca knew Jerr enough to know that he was as great of a liar as she was, and what he just said made her actually think about this. “Alright, alright,” she said finally, laughing at the desperate look on Jerr’s face. “So, what do you want me to do about? Do you want me to go after the ones chasing you or something?” Bianca actually did not expect him to ask her to do that, but she liked to tease the kid sometimes.

“Obviously not!” said Jerr, and this made the vampyre laugh again. She did not want to be a bad example to kids but since she was already doing bad things for Jerr, this could not make things any worse than they already were. Bianca brought out a cigarette and lit it right in front of Jerr who kept on talking. “I need you to get the package that the Martellos are bringing in today.”

“How do you know it’s today?” Bianca wanted to know. She just wanted to make sure, to be honest. Since she knew what she was going to be doing for today, she wanted to make sure of some things before she fucked up.

“Look, you gotta trust me, miss. It is coming in today and I need you to get it for me at the gates. Well not exactly right at the gates in front of the guards outside of Oak, too, but wherever you could do it conveniently with less people seeing you know. Because I need you to put the blame on Vincenze Tessio. Can you do that too?”

Bianca thought about this. How exactly was she supposed to put the blame on Tessio, she wondered. “I’ll sign his name somewhere, will that do?” she asked.

Jerr also took a moment to think of any better ways to make it look like Tessio did it. He then nodded and said, “I’m sure that will be good enough, miss. You’ve gotta hurry now.”

Bianca finished her cigarette. Jerr had already left the alley and was probably heading somewhere else to hide again. He told her to meet him again later after the job was done so that he could pay her. Bianca was not very fond of the idea of being paid by a kid, but she liked money and she had done a few favors for Jerr already to refuse at this point. Jerr obviously did not mind losing some cash for even bigger cash. It was like an investment. If Bianca was successful in completing the jobs that he gave her, he would make profit, and that covered for the money that he gave her for doing work for him. So both of them profited. But that depended completely on whether or not Bianca was successful with her task. If she did not, it was a loss for Jerr. Well also Bianca because she lost time and energy. So after she finished the cigarette, she walked out of the alley and headed for the outskirts. She was not too far away from it so she decided to just walk. But after the job, she would probably get a stagecoach back into town so that she could hide in it as well. She had went into Dr. Mabuz’s little shop to borrow a simple knife. She had a gun with her but she did not want to make noise. Using a knife would make less noise and finish off the Martello guards as easily as it would be done with a gun.

The doctor gave her a knife and told her that it really did not matter to him whether she brought it back or not. He even said that she could take it and it was a gift from him to her for doing all those jobs for him. Bianca did not say much in response to the doctor’s babbling. She just nodded and said her thanks then headed out immediately. She remembered Jerr told her that she needed to hurry. She did not want to arrive when the Martello guys and their package had already got in through the gates. That would have turned out to be an epic failure. And Bianca was not going to let that happen. So the vampyre weaved through the many people occupying the sidewalk, surprisingly finishing the coffee that she had bought earlier which was the caramel frappucino she was basically begged to buy. Throwing the empty cup away into a trash bin she walked past, Bianca saw that she could see the gates now. She would have to find a way to get past the gates without the guards standing there seeing her. She looked around and saw that the branch of a very tall tree from outside the gates was growing past the gate and towards the town. It was a pretty tall tree. So she decided she would climb that. Thank god for being a soundless freak so she went unnoticed.

Bianca got past the gates without being noticed by any of the guards, and that was a relief. This was too early in her mission to fuck up already. But she had already expected to get past the gates without a problem, thanks to her soundless perk as a vampyre. The guards were not even alert when she stole a glance at them from between the trees, so she headed deeper into the thin layer of trees outside of Oak. She walked closer towards the path that all vehicles took to come towards Oak. She wondered how stupid the Martello man were to announce something like this to literally everyone. She remember that she worked for Martin Martello before and she was basically backstabbing him right now, but in this mad, mad world, it was hard to take sides so Bianca did not take any side. But of course if it came to anything against Phantom Lord, she would take Phantom Lord’s side. That sort of stuff was clear already, but for people like Martello, or Tessio, she was faithful to neither of them. Nor was she faithful to Jerr. She did everything she did for them because she wanted money, so they should expect her to be loyal either. As these thoughts ran through her mind, Bianca saw a cart coming along the path that she was so carefully watching. That was it. That had to be it. Her instincts told her it was the cart that Jerr was talking about.

She appeared out of nowhere from between the trees and slit the throat of the guard in the front, disappearing into the trees on the other side of the path. The other Martello man was still confused about how his friend got killed in a split second when Bianca dashed out of the trees again for a clean cut at his throat. Now there were only two of them left and Bianca did not want to waste time so she dashed back out almost after killing the second guard to knock the guard behind over and stab the one in the front in his backbone first then slitting his throat again as well while she stood on the cart. Afterwards she would turn to knock the gun out of the guard who had fallen down and was trying to get up again. Then she slit his throat too and then looked around to see if there was anyone left. Apparently that was all, so she used the blood that was seeping out of the cut wound in their necks, she separated their over coats to write ‘Tessio’ on the white shirt using the blood. She then licked some blood off her hands and smiled. Her job was already done. And so she took the package that Jerr wanted and headed back into town, again without being noticed. Jerr was already waiting back in the alley and Bianca handed him the package. He accepted it nervously and paid her.
