Fantastic Fabrics [Quest: Chelvaric] Autumn10


From the northern region to the western part of Fiore, a young woman had travelled across the country and finally ended up in her destination – Baska Town. The course of her journey from Worth Woodsea to Baska took her a couple of weeks and though, she could’ve rested at towns in between, she didn’t want to waste too much time on her travels and figured that she could just return to the northern part of the country afterwards. Fatigue and exhaustion washed over her body upon her arrival and the only thing Snowflake wanted to do after her taxing travel was to rest and sleep the entire day. And, so she did.

It has been a few days since her arrival in Baska and the only thought that filled her mind was about her lover, wondering what Chelvaric has been up to during the time she was gone. It was very unusual for her to be so infatuated with some, but perhaps, it was due to the fact that this was her first relationship that she’s ever been in and not to mention – both of them were still in their honeymoon phase of their dating life. The female tied her hair back into a loose ponytail, while her short bangs and the loose strands of her silver hair framed her gentle visage. Being in her room for so long with nothing else to do, Snowflake decided to venture out into the town, hoping to find something interesting to keep her busy for the rest of the day.

Chelvaric Walderkat
Eternal darkness, a blackness that surrounded him wherever he looked. He had it cold and wanted to break free out of the darkness but he couldn’t just yet. Time passed like years but Chelvaric wasn’t sure if it was years or not. While he was in the void the only thing he would hold onto was Snowflake in his mind, he had to survive for her. It felt like his body was being deconstructed on a molecular level, the fabric of who he is was being rewritten. The next thing he remembered was suddenly feeling ice cold water drops falling on to him, which were resonating into the darkness as light spots till he finally opened his eyes.

He looked up and noticed that he was just outside the town of Baska, Elisa was sitting on his chest and looking at him curiously. He pushed himself up from the ground and already noticed weird things, he couldn’t move his tail anymore and he grabbed to the location where it supposed to be but he couldn’t find it, his tail was gone. He then moved his hands over his head and his ears were gone too instead of it he had ears on the side like humans but they were long and pointy. He didn’t really know what was happening and he was quite confused and scared. His clothes also had changed as he was wearing an outfit that was mostly in a green tint. He walked to the town as he wanted to get to the request board to see if he could find any blue Pegasus mage. He did know that Snow was coming to this town too so he could find her there if she was here.

Baska Town was a rather lively place, especially in the city and much more active than she had expected but, it wasn’t necessarily a bad thing. Although she may enjoy quiet places more than bizarre locations, Baska and Hargeon seemed to be an exception for the cold-hearted female; Baska, because the town was still new to her and it was a quite beautiful village and Hargeon, because it was the main location where her own guild was situation – Blue Pegasus. Her eyes were always wandering the area, searching and studying the place and she loved how the town had a very friendly vibe, much like home and how the townsfolk were sociable and welcoming to guests. It doesn’t seem like a place where tourists would visit much, nevertheless, the amicable ambiance of her surroundings made her feel comfortable in the area.

Upon reaching the town centre, a pair of icy blue eyes landed onto the request board, in which she immediately walked towards without any hesitation. It was more of a habit to a mage like her and seeing the request board brought her the instinct to check the papers binned up against the surface. It was then she noticed a young man walking towards the board as well, bright golden hair and blue eyes. The pointy ears revealed that the man was not from a human race, but, neither was she albeit, there was something familiar about him. Even with an entirely different appearance, she could tell that he was someone she knew….Chelvaric?

Chelvaric was looking over the request board as he hadn’t found Snow yet and didn’t really know what to do. He didn’t actually want to speak to the other mages that were hanging around the board although that was his first idea he would feel uncomfortable since they didn’t really know him and they didn’t know how he looked before so he would just sound like a crazy man. He suddenly saw a very pink job request paper and picked it up to look at when he heard footsteps behind him.

He turned around and saw Snowflake approaching with a look on her face that she was shocked by seeing him. She probably shouldn’t know it’s me though or maybe she feels something familiar about me? He thought to himself and then walked fast to her as he needed her comfort. He grabbed her and whispered in her ears.

“It’s me Chelvaric, Snowy I, I don’t know what happened but I woke up like this. I had a weird dream before everything went black or was it reality I am not sure. I was so scared when I woke up, I am so happy to see you”, he said to her all confusing while holding the sheet in his hands. He didn’t know how she would react or what would happen.

Just when her doubts grew within her, her confusion was resolved immediately when the man grabbed her into his arms. Burying her face into his chest, his scent was a familiar one and Snowflake could instantly identify him as her lover. He seemed worried and confused about his transformation, more so than herself and she couldn’t blame him. She would be in the same position if it was her as well. A sigh of relief escaped her lips as she cupped his face gently in both of her hands – and despite of his different appearance, it didn’t change the way she felt about him. ”It’s alright. I’m here now. I’m just glad you’re fine. Tell me all about it when you’re ready.” The female gave a soft peck on his lips as a small smile tugged upon the corner of her lips.

”Should we go on the request now?” She’d nudge her head in the direction of the paper request in his hands.

Out of all the requests that were pinned up against the board, it was the one that stood out the most to her – not to mention, the bright, pink colour. She took the sheet from Chelvaric in his hands and read along the lines written on it which was of a simple request; to find some kind of rare fabrics for their client named Fernando, the owner of a famous boutique.

Chelvaric stroked her hair as Snow said that everything was fine and that she was with him now and she was correct on that as he liked it when she was with him and his worries felt very low now as he was being hugged by her and they just seemed to melt away. She seemed to understand his problems and gave him a kiss on his lips to assure him even more. He loved it when he felt those soft lips touch his it felt like the world stopped and that he and her were the only ones left in the world. He looked at the soft smile coming around her corners and stroked her cheek before giving her another kiss and then whispering, “I love you”, to her.

He nodded to her as she seemed to be wanting to start the job and it would make him a bit more distracted from what he just went through. They walked to the shop that they had to go to and entered the building to be greeted by the weirdest guy ever, he had purple hair and was wearing a scarf and a very purple clothes. He was also wearing makeup and other feminine things on his body. Well, it was an easy job so it didn’t really matter much. He wondered how the man was going to present it to them though

”I love you too,” said the snow-haired female with her arms wrapped around her lover. Chelvaric leaned in closer to give her another kiss and she’d gladly allow him to do so. Though she did not like showing affection in public, since there weren’t any people near them, she figured that it wouldn’t be much of a problem. And so, they headed towards the boutique afterwards, in which the coordinates of the location were given on the paper. Upon their arrival at the boutique, they were greeted by a rather strange man; purple dyed hair and with what seemed to be a very expensive piece of fur wrapped around his neck. The man had a very upbeat personality, singing and dancing around – not that she minded, while he spoke to them about the details of the job.

Surrounding yourself with positive people is always good, she thought to herself. Fernando, then, briefly walks them around his store, showing the type of fabric that he would like as an example. Her fingers grazed over the fabrics and from the silky texture of the cloth, she could immediately tell that these were a very expensive type of clothing and with exceptionally high quality. Once he was done with his explanation, he gave them a hefty amount of jewels for them to purchase fabrics and claimed that he would have to return to work while the Blue Pegasus mages visit the local stores to search for the perfect fabric.

Chelvaric Walderkat
The man seemed to be dancing around and be very happy. Chelvaric just found it weird but if the man was happy who was he to judge him. Everything was going good and the man showed them around the shop to give them examples of what they needed. Chelvaric made notes in his mind on how everything looked and what they would need so that they could get it from the market. They left the shop and went to the middle of the city where strangely dressed people were standing as they were from foreign country’s selling the most rarest of fabric.

They looked everything over and searched for the ones that matched in structure to the ones in the shop. When they had found them the haggled the prize and went back with loads of fabrics to the shop. They had bought for lots of jewels but the shopkeeper had given them plenty of jewels to buy with. He felt a bit guilty to use so much money but it was on request of the shopkeeper so it seemed to be fine to do that. They delivered the fabrics to the shop and were paid out for doing a great job. He then asked Snow if they could just relax at her apartment and waited for her answer.
