"Looks like we're here," the Fire Dragon Slayer stepped onto Tenrou Island's soil for the first time, examining his immediate surroundings with the curious air of a toddler on his first day of kindergarten. The air felt less polluted here on the island, perhaps a given now that they were no longer on the mainland. His body felt a bit lighter as well, but he couldn't help but attribute this to the fact that he was a member of the Fairy Tail guild, sanctioned by the guildmaster herself and deemed worthy to be allowed the honour of bearing the guild's emblem on his body. By extension, perhaps it was not unreasonable to think that those belonging to other guilds would not fare nearly as well as a Fairy Tail member would here. "Thanks for the ride, Cap'n. I don't imagine we'll be long," he shot a wary look towards his companions, a stare that suggested that he wanted to pick up whatever Cecilia had asked them to as soon as possible, and be done with it. He wasn't entirely adverse to the idea of loitering around Tenrou Island for a little bit longer after that, and exploring though, but he'd prefer if they did that after Cecilia's item was retrieved.

Houren's train of thought was broken when Captain Seagull threw something in his direction; a bag, the Fire Dragon Slayer would note when he caught it, with an assortment of fruit inside. By assortment, there were only bananas and apples present inside. "In case ya'll get hungry," the Captain said without much emotion before heading to the ship's stern to relax. The Fairy Tail mage shrugged, deciding to appreciate the Captain's display of goodwill without complaint before heading in the woods, gesturing for his fellow guildmates to follow him. As he trod onto the wood's dirty turf, the Fire Dragon Slayer took out the map that he had picked up earlier, studying it more thoroughly than he did before when he had only managed to glance at it before the ship docked. As soon as he pulled the map out though, he could hear a faint rustling sound coming from somewhere and immediately turned towards his guildmates.

"Did you guys hear that?" there was only slight uncertainty in his voice, but he was never the kind of man to be intimidated by some voices. He continued to move on, observing his surroundings while sporadically consulting the map to make sure that they were heading towards the X that was marked on the spot. They would see the occasional tree engraved with some rune that was also present in the mark. This suggested that they were getting pretty close after all. It wasn't just trees marked with runic markings that they were occasionally seeing though, as it seemed like this island wasn't completely uninhabited like Houren had originally assumed. Some of them weren't very curious monkeys, and only observed the Expedition Team from afar while others actually attempted to steal their belongings. The Fire Dragon Slayer had fared reasonably well with the monkeys, refusing to hand over anything and making himself look threatening when they approached him.

"These monkeys sure are irritating, huh? Make sure your things are safe," the Fairy Tail mage made the passing comment to whoever was closest behind him, whoever that may have been.

The group had finally arrived. The sacred home of the Fairy Tail guild was more beautiful than Tori could have ever imagined. The clean, crisp air had a pleasant aroma to it as Tori could feel her body being invigorated from the very ground she walked on. As she looked around in sheer awe, she heard Houren thank the old captain for their voyage and made mention that he was staying on the shore while the mages did their thing. Tori was confused for a moment before realizing that Captain Seagull was obviously not a wizard like them so he did not want to risk venturing into the forest unarmed. That, or he didn't want to intrude and get involved in their personal mission. In either case, Tori turned and thanked the man with a beaming smile before telling him to stay safe. Sacred or not, a forest was a forest, and forests had wildlife some of which could very well be predatory. Before turning to attend to his ship, though, the sea captain threw a bag through the air which was caught by Houren with little reaction.

With few other words, Houren himself ventured forward and motioned his comrades to do the same, which Tori immediately obliged. She caught up to the other Dragon Slayer and walked alongside him while the others would catch up. Tori figured it best to stick close to Houren in an effort to learn more about him and maybe formulate a plan on how to defeat him in battle. The silver haired man took a moment to examine the bag's contents revealing what looked to be apples and bananas, which made sense considering that Seagull had mentioned their future hunger. Houren also had a map which he no doubt got from Cecelia's bag while it was lying on the deck of the ship during their talk. But as Tori had proclaimed herself something of the leader while trying to find their ride to the island, Houren had apparently proclaimed leadership for the time being as he started to trek across the island, following the map as he did so. "You do know where we're going right?" she asked curiously, being able to swear she passed that tree ten minutes ago.

Moments later, he called out attention to noises coming from the trees, which were revealed to be monkeys that came down to try steal the map and bag away from Houren's possession, which gave Tori an idea. "Houren, the bananas. We don't need all that food, especially when we still have some of the food from the road and whatever we bought in Hargeon. Maybe all they want is a snack and they'll leave us alone." she suggested, making perfect sense in her own mind. Everyone knew that monkeys loved bananas after all.

•Kazumi Kiseki•

Running through the trees with her little fox right on her heels, Kazumi stopped at the edge of the forest to see if her guildmates were still where they had left them. She seemed to have gotten back just in time, because they all seemed to be saying their goodbyes to Captain Seagull. Oh man, any later and I would have really gotten lost, she thought to herself. Quietly, she inserted herself back into the party, pulling down her right jacket sleeve to cover her arm. It was about then that the party started its move toward the forest. As if she had been there the entire time, Kazumi looked back at the Sea Captain and waved with her left arm up high. “Thanks for the ride, Captain!”

As the guild made its way through the woods, there was a rustling sound, that seemed to put some people, Kazu herself included, at a bit of an unease. Thinking back to it, she had not really seen any creatures when she went venturing out before, so she had no idea what lived on this sacred island. There could be friends, foes, or both running a round the place waiting to discover some Fairy Tail mages that had never set foot on this land.

When the rustling stopped, the party pressed on, following Houren due to the fact that He carried the map. The trek was somewhat lengthy, and Tori didn’t really take very long to get a bit antsy about it, questioning the map bearer. “No see, look Tori,” the twin tailed mage assured her, “there are some markings on the trees, and each one seems to be a bit different, likt they read something. Im not sure what it says but if the markings don’t quite look the same, I at least am pretty sure we haven’t been this way yet…” Kazumi trailed off when the rustling returned, though this time it wasn’t long before the culprits were revealed. A barrel of monkeys emerged from the leaves of the trees, some of which tried to take the bags of the wizards. Kazumi immediately placed a hand on her satchel and a hand on her Axe, not planning on drawing the latter but instead protecting her belongings. That was when Tori had a good idea to feed them Bananas, saying that the extra food wasn’t super needed. While Kazumi couldn’t say she fully agreed with that last part, the bit about giving up some bananas seemed fine. Problem was, the monkeys would never really leave if the mages just gave them food.

“Oh? We have bananas? Can I see one?” She asked Houren, holding her hand out. If Houren would be so kind as to pass the crystal mage a banana, she would open it, luring some of the creatures to her. She would feed those that landed on her bits from the top half, but with the bottom half she would wave her arm down to create a monkey that looked just like the real ones, but made of crystal. It would take the bottom half of the banana and swing away form the group, not dispelling until they were out of sight. Of course, worked to lure some of the true animals away, but it did not fool them all. The rest would have to be dealt with in some other fashion.

Sael was struggling with his the now uncomfortable underwear as his guildmates waves their goodbye to the Captain and crew. The cloud mage quickly smiled and waved as well before moving to rectify his pants.  After that tiny crisis was averted Sael took a moment to bask in the island air. Inhaling a deep breathe with a smile. His joy instantly deflated. There was nothing exciting here. No hotel to greet them or people for them to meet. No offense to the other people standing around him but they were starting to wear down on him. Understandable, considering the amount of time they've all spent with eachother. What was that, like, how many weeks, or days? He honestly lost count. On top of that he apparently owed a private dinner to King. Sael pondered that for a moment, tasting the feel of the weight of the words in his mind. Doesn't that sound awfully like a date? A few more moments in private thought before he dismissed the idea. That would mean Sael would be stuck on a date regardless if he won or lost. It was probably just a competitive thing going on, he shrugged.

Sael curiously thought on the object flying his way before instinct pulled him aside and let Houren catch it. When the man went to check its contents the cloud mage leaned in to catch a glimpse as well. It was a small, or medium, amount of fruit snacks. The actual fruits, not those cheap rehashes of them. He wanted to reach in and pull out an apple to amuse himself with, but that seemed rather irresponsible, and right now he really couldn't be bothered to care for the irresponsibility he was responsible for and he could be sure that his teammates were rather exhausted of his hijinks as well. So he walked away from the bag and its holder without further problem.

Sael waited for a while for the group of mages to sort themselves out- or until Houren pulled out the map and started to lead them into the forest. He didn't have anything else keeping him on the beach so he followed.

The older man seemed to know where they were heading but Sael couldn't help but doubt the direction they were headed. On their little trip through the forest he had spotted a number of magical sigils and symbols. While he was initially intrigued he couldn't bring himself to really care all that much after seeing one for the umpteenth time. After a while Sael just blanked out and left his body to operate on auto-pilot. One foot in front of the other and- Sael paused at the sound of rustling leaves. He looked around at the others. They seemed to hold similar hesitation. A moment later an army of monkeys crawled out from their hiding spaces. Houren made the careful note to watch their items, something the cloud mage could agree whole heartedly on. With a flick of the wrist he un-did his button and stuffed his already small bag into his pants. Buttoning and securing his jewels as soon as he could fit them in.

Tori suggested they feed them the bananas from Captain Seagull's fruit stock. Kazumi improved upon this and created a rather elaborate monkey clone to draw away the monkeys. For the most part it worked, kudos to Kazumi, but there were still some monkeys hanging around, and they looked rather thiefy. "Lemma try something." With a quiet snap he produced a couple banana clones out of clouds, solid enough to look convincing, minus the white color scheme, but monkeys were color blind. Right? Hopefully it would work. He didn't need to pay for new clothes and the dinner he had to buy King.

Truth be told, there was a part of Houren that had panicked initially when he saw the map. The drawings that the guildmaster, Cecilia, had left for them did not really articulate where they needed to go, but he had been in pinch situations like this before and if he could say so himself, he was a fairly good navigator. He had noticed the runic markings on the trees quite a awhile ago, and raised a curious eyebrow when Tori questioned him about the direction in which they were going. She stood close to him as well, a fact that only served to surprise him more. The Fire Dragon Slayer was going to open his mouth to explain this to her, but Kazumi had happened to do so in his stead. He was under the impression that the markings were fairly obvious, but maybe the fact that they were hidden in plain sight actually made them harder to spot. In any case, even if it was uncharacteristic of him to do so, Houren decided that he should compliment Kazumi's sharp eye, or at least acknowledge her explanation in some way or another.

He did not avert his eyes from the map as he spoke. "You have a good eye, Kazumi," was all he decided to say. From that point onwards, he expected the other Dragon Slayer to pay special attention to the runic markings that happened to be present on the trees. When they were eventually confronted by those monkeys, both Tori and Kazumi had their respective suggestions, with the other Dragon Slayer encouraging Houren to give the monkeys their bananas whereas Kazumi asked for Houren to hand her one of the fruits. The latter woman's suggestion seemed to require less effort on the Fire Dragon Slayer's part though, so he decided to cooperate with her, giving Tori an apologetic wave as he handed the Crystal mage a banana.

The monkeys seemed genuinely enthralled by Kazumi's antics and acting on Tori's earlier advice, Houren grabbed a few bananas of his own and pointed towards the direction opposite of where they were going, before handing the bananas to the monkeys. They seemed to understand the hint and were too thrilled with having gotten bananas anyways that the monkeys that did not get lured away by Kazumi trotted off in the direction that Houren had been pointing in. After that interesting encounter, the Tenrou Island Expedition Team walked around for a little bit more, while Houren continued to keep track of the runic markings that were present on the trees. It eventually reached the point where he had to turn the map over and begin scribbling notes on it, since they were, in fact, in a jungle and it would have taken some sort of high level Archive spell to remember every single tree in the jungle.

At some point, they were able to clearly see a tomb in the distance and Houren, having been in front of the rest of the expedition team, suddenly stopped, motioning for the others to do the same. The tomb, roughly 25m away from them had been forcibly open and another group could be seen standing outside. It might have been reasonable to think they were fellow guild members, but a closer examination would have ruled that guess out completely.

The Fire Dragon Slayer turned to the others, a serious look etched on his features. "Anyone recognize that guild mark down there?" he whispered, pointing at one of the men who bore the mysterious mark.

Houren seemed like he was about to answer his brethren's question when the crystal mage pointed out the trees and the markings on their trunks. She explained that they all had a unique look to them and, while not necessarily mapping any particular direction, did serve as a trail to avoid passing the same tree twice. When the monkeys showed up, everyone had their own ideas of how to be rid of the furry animals, all of which having to do with the bananas. Houren simply gave a couple of them to the creatures and pointed in the direction for them to go, which they were more than happy to oblige. Sai did the same thing with a banana he created out of solid cloud due to his magic, while Kazu created a fake monkey and opted to give her creation the banana and cause the real ones to chase it. Between all of their methods, the group's strategy worked and the monkeys fled the scene now that they had been fed. A small amount of chatter would occupy their time as they drew closer to what Tori assumed would be their destination. At some point, Houren saw fit to turn the map around and begin to take notes on the back, making absolutely sure they didn't get lost in this jungle.

After a short while, Houren motioned for the group to stop as he had done. Tori looked past the other Dragon Slayer and saw some sort of cave or tomb or something in the distance, which had been forcibly opened. A small group of two or three individuals stood outside it, appearing to be discussing something amongst themselves, before Houren turned his head to look at the group. His face was more serious than it had been thus far, making Tori feel that something was amiss. He made mention of the guild mark on the people's bodies, causing Tori to focus her attention on the crests. "I have seen that before...but where?" she said to herself out loud. It only took a moment for it to hit her. "Now I know where I've seen that before! That's Kerberos. It's a treasure hunter guild. But what are they doing all the way out here?" she stood racking her brain for a moment trying to figure it out before turning her attention to her guild mates. "Well? What would a treasure hunter guild be doing on Tenrou Island? Any ideas?" she asked her comrades, curious if they might be able to brainstorm some kind of conclusion to these intruders.

Sael smiled to himself as the monkeys fell for his antics. Between his, Kazumi, and Hourne's efforts, the once semi-large group of monkeys had gradually dispersed. As the tiny primates had began to disappear, some by his own tiny efforts, the cloud mage beamed with pride. The pride he felt at actually being able to do something to help was too much not to express. With explosive passion he leapt forward into a lunge, shoot off a peace sign and the biggest grin you could find a person. His voice screamed a high pitched whisper-cheer, loud enough to convey his excitement but low enough to avoid bringing back the creatures the worked to get rid of in the first place.

A short while after that the Tenrou Island Expedition continued on with little note of interruption, making note of the marks that appeared every couple of trees or so. The runic script continued to fascinate and confuse. No one in the group seemed to know what they were. A warning of some kind? Who knows? Houren seemed to think that they were important enough to on. Though he wished that the older mage would write on something else. The guild master's penmanship wasn't a strong point of hers from what Sael has seen, and he could safely say that no one would want to keep walking in circles on an island luck this. As beautiful as it was, we still had no idea where we are going besides the map; so perhaps he should tell Houren about his anxiety about the doodling? Sael shook his head softly. Houren didn't seem like the type of person to intentionally endanger his guild mates, whatever he was doing it was made with a good cause.

Sael was abruptly knocked out of his thoughts when Houren motioned for the group to stop. The cloud mage tensed, getting ready for whatever might approach them. He set his fingers together, ready snap at a moment's notice. The cloud mage traced Houren's line of sight, leading him to a group of men. Sael hesitated for a moment, unsure of what the problem was. He almost slapped his face when he realized what Houren meant. No one came to island without specific permission from Master Cecilia. Especially people without the Fairy Tail guild mark.

"No idea." Sael whispered. While he assumed that they might be lost, the guild mark proved other wise. Whoever they were, their intentions seemed anything but benevolent.

Winderlin wasn't really sure how to feel about anything to be fair. He was on this strange new island and wasn't sure what the hell to do anymore. He was going to go run around but then he thought that was childish so he didn't. Everyone seemed pretty thoughtful about something in their heads and Winderlin sighed. He was on a mission after all but the idea of a party and private island was all too good for him. Even then after the trip Winderlin get's free food, I mean talking about great birthday or what. Mhh maybe he should tell the crew it is his birthday today but meh. Winderlin followed everyone and waved goodbye to the captain.

"So umm, guys something I should tell you, today is a really special da for. It's my bir." Was all Winderlin got our before he saw monkeys. Lots of monkeys. He wasn't really sure why there were monkeys but nun the less. Kazumi made a clone and was able to trick most of the monkeys but there were still some in sight. Sael came up with a great idea to make cloud bananas. Winderlin thought but was clever, he just hoped that the monkeys didn't touch the clouds, or then they would find out and we might be in some deep shit. Winderlin didn't think f anything he could do with his magic so he just stood and watched all of this happen between his guild mates. He felt bad, like really bad but hey, that's how the power wheel fell this time.

After the whole monkey business Winderlin wasn't really sure what to do anymore. He just kept walking and stayed quiet to himself. It wasn't the most fun thing to do but hey it was something since well, he felt awkward again. He wasn't sure why he did but he felt it and there was nothing else he could do about it. everyone walked a long way to somewhere he wasn't sure where and was pretty damn certain they were lost. Noticing marks on the trees and different patterns. He wasn't sure if they have or not but Winderlin felt like they have walked the same circle a good five times or most of the trees look the same, but that was very less important to anything. But soon after Houren stopped and Winderlin noticed men on the island. He wasn't sure why they were here or how they got  here. Last he checked you had to be a Fairy Tail member to make it here or something along those lines of making it to the island. This made Winderlin really uncomfortable and a bit worried of the whole thing. He wasn't sure if he should speak, run, or just attack, but he stood and possibly even waited for some type of order from someone on what to do with these men.

Tori's inquiry over the treasure hunter guild's presence fell on ignorant ears, not unlike her own. She couldn't wrap her head around it. What in the world were non-Fairy Tail members on the island? How did they even know where to find it? The silent questions rang in her head like a dozen belfries, echoing back and forth to and from the confines of her mind. Regardless of their reasoning, Tori predicted conflict. Either simply stern words for their intrusion, or more likely according to Tori's intuition, a fight.

She couldn't place her finger on it, but there was definitely something else going on here. No one finds Tenrou Island, the sacred homeland of the Fairy Tail guild, by mere chance. Whoever these men were, they had a reason to be here, however nefarious. The blonde woman readied herself to cast something at a moment's notice should the need arise, and was more than able to fight if need be. There was no way that Tori Lancaster would let these trespassers off the hook with a slap on the wrist, but she also had no way of knowing what they were capable of either. At this point, she had no choice but to bide her time, and follow the lead of her guild mates.

•Kazumi Kiseki•

With the combined efforts of the party, the monkeys all ended up going off on their merry ways, leaving the Fairy tail mages to do the same. They went back to what they had been doing, following some trees in a forest in an attempt to find what Cecilia wanted. Of course, Kazumi was not quite clear on what that was, and she doubted anyone else was either. This whole mission had such an air of mystery around it, and while that was pretty neat, surely some extra information wouldn’t be such a bad thing? Oh well. They were all doing pretty well with what little they all knew, so at least they had that going for them.

It was not too long after the monkeys had appeared and dispersed that Houren noticed something strange. Something that Kazu didn’t think anyone would have quite expected. There was a Tomb nearby, which they had been looking for this whole time no doubt, but the interesting part was how it had already been opened. Not only that, but a group of complete strangers were standing in front of it, bearing marks that Kazumi could not say she recognized when Houren asked about it. This was weird indeed. Kazumi had been under the impression this whole time that they only people who knew about Tenrou and how to get there were Guild members like themselves, or Friends of the guild like Captain Seagull, who had escorted them there to begin with. Following that logic, it was possible that these people were associated with Fairy Tail in some way, but something about them made Kazu doubt that. Maybe it was because the Tomb door did not seem naturally open, as it had been forced to let them enter. Still, there was no actual proof that this group specifically had bad intentions.

In any case, Tori seemed to recognize their guild markings, letting the group know they were treasure hunters. That made things make a little more sense, but did not make the crystal mage any less uneasy. “If they are treasure hunters, then of course they would be interested in such a mysterious island, right? Maybe they don’t even know that this is Fairy Tail’s sacred land.” Of course, Kazumi would not let her optimism blind her, the whole thing was still extremely suspicious. This would definitely require some further investigation, though they would all have to be cautious about it. "I think we should go talk to them. If they are friendly maybe they can help, and if not, we can stop them from tearing up our island more. We might even be looking for the same thing.” Kazumi made her suggestion to her comrades, wondering who would agree. “Stay on your guard though, anything could happen.” With that, Kazumi began slowly making her way toward the strangers, letting the rest of the party choose whether or not to follow. Before she started moving however, she placed a hand on Winderlin’s shoulder, having heard what he had tried to tell everyone earlier. “By the way Winnie, Happy Birthday.”

Winderlin stood shocked still. no one was making a move nor where anyone saying anything. Everyone seemed to be looking the same way, how did they get on the island? It's suppose to be impossbile for anyone else to get here but clearly that went out the window since wll there are people here. Could they be treasure hunter, or random strangers, or maybe the reason why they had to come here in the first place. No one knows what the mission is yet and maybe the master knew that there were non-Fairy Tail members and wanted us to get rid of them, but then again why not just do it yourself or just have the whole guild come if you thought strangers of some sort were here. So that leaves them to be just inncoencent people or some hunters and quite frankly Winderlin didn't care for who they were but just wished they would leave the island since they didn't belong here.

Winder train of thought got broken for a moment when Kazumi started to talk and make very clearly and outstainding points which were on the same boardlines of what Winderlin thought. He was really tempted to go out and fight them instead of all this talking though. They didn't belong here they need to go simple as that but Winderlin knew he wasn't in charger and couldn't make an irrational chocie that could cause the party and trouble, but at the same token Winderlin didn't care anymore.

Once again though Kazumi broke him out of his train of thought. She was really good at that but if she didn't he probably would of just went a fought the guys so maybe it was a good thing she did. Kaz I don't think anyone is allowed to just find this place by chnave they are here for a reason and I say we take them but that's just me." Windelrin trying to show of a bit of more self thought to the group since he has been very just quiet and followed a long. Afterwards Kazumi came up with a plan which seemed to work perfectly for them all in a way of wanted to fight but also understand why they were here. Winderlin sealthed behind Kazumi walking to hopefully ge tthe ju,p on these guys or girls because hey WInderlin's mind is not sexts, was that a random thought and didn't help or go along with this, yes, does Winderlin care, no. As everyone walked behind Kazumi she placed her hand on Winderlin's shoulder. He wasn't sure what he did wrong this time but let's jsut say it nearly scared him shitless. He looked at her a bit confused but showed a smiled. She told him happy birthday and Winderlin was confused but then remembered he was going to tell the group that it was his birthday before he got off by those damn stupid monkeys. WHy imagine to be on a new crazy magical island, seeing monkeys, have to use agic to scaare them off, and then going to fight strangers on this magicla land. THis was one birthday Winderlin was bot going to forget no time soon.
