To say that these games were mildly traumatizing was certainly an understatement. Seira quickly rushed across the fair, helplessly staring down at the clothes she wore; after winning the last game, against a pinball machine, the old thing had suddenly started screeching like a demon, causing the vampire to jump out of her chair and attempt to flee the scene. It seemed that the booth wasn’t nearly half as happy about her win as the girl was, and even though it was kind enough to spit out another one of those Pumpkin Pops, blood started flowing out of the metal case and she decided that it was for the best to run away.

”What a mess,” she muttered under her breath and shook her head. Fortunately, the next booth wasn’t far off and Seira was still busy with her dress when another skeleton spoke to her and handed her a talking head. ”Welcome, m’lady — care to play a game? All you have to do is roll this head around the curve, into one of the holes at the end of the lane. Easy enough, right?” The vampire sighed and reluctantly grabbed the head. ”I’m not so sure this is my kind of game, but trying won’t cost me anything, I guess.”

The last game she played - the pinball machine - was pretty strange. The machine started to act weird as her score skyrocketed, bleeding and breaking and making her feel guilty of having completely destroyed it. Once the machine shut down, she backed away from it, staring at it for a moment to see if anything else was going to happen, but a little pumpkin pop rolled out of a small hole she hadn’t noticed in the machine. She picked it up, studying it and shoving it in her pocket. She remembered the skeleton from the Whack-A-What game gave her something similar. So if you win games, you get these little things? Cute.

Bianca left the pinball machine afterwards and headed to the next booth. She smiled at the skeleton as she approached the booth, wondering what type of game she was going to play next. He greeted her and gestured to enter just like the previous skeleton, looking excited and energetic. Once she was close enough, he handed her a head. Not just a head - a talking one, but at this point these kind of things don’t bother Bianca anymore. Gripping the talking head, she aimed at the hole and rolled.

The game concluded and the Skeleton gave a shrug. Shura had lost the game because he was unable to reach the high score. Shura shook his head, cursing his bad luck but hey he still had fun waiting on the results. That's how gambling worked, and this was a form of it. Granted there was nothing to lose really because he didn't pay anything. That is just how the dice fell, he could only hope he wins the rest of the games in the gallery. He moved over to the next game he was standing in front of skee-ball game. A skeleton stepped forward with a head in hand. “Game is real easy kid toss head into the hole and win a prize. Simple as that.”

“Sounds easy enough.”

Shura walked up to the game and took the head from the skeletons head. “This isn't real right?” The skeleton tilted it's head to the side, “I don't know what do you think kid?” He rolled his shoulders a bit and looked at the course before him. The game had winding paths with pitfalls on the side. He couldn't just toss it willy nilly. He had to finesse the head into a hole. He tried not to think whether if the head was real or not. Just try to focus on the game. He took a step back and went into a bowling stance. Taking a deep breath he walked up gained a bit of speed and let the head roll.

Hmm apparently she was still good with a gun. She was rather satisfied with that and with a bit of a happy feeling, she left the booth after she got a pumpkin pop, now she had two! No idea what to do with it but they looked funny, so she stood up from the booth, patted Hecate again, whom seemed to get a bit more at ease the longer they were here and walked away to find another game to play. She wasn't entirely sure what she would do next. There were only two booths left where she had not been and she would take the first one that was available.

"Hello missy. You should try this, I noticed the good weapon hand, but can you throw properly?" was this a taunting thing again, she simply fell for it again and waited for a ball to be given but instead of that she got a talking head and she stared at it for a few seconds, alright, nothing to panic about. She would have to throw this, the Skeleton explained. She was not entirely sure if she would win, because she was freaking out about the item that she had to throw, "It doesn't hurt right?" she asked before she trew.

Spitting the blood covered eyes out his mouth, he wiped the blood away as best as possible with the sleeve of his jacket. There was a taste of iron all throughout his mouth and it was not going to go away anytime soon. Luckily he managed to win this game which was worth it to say the least. In return, he received another one of the strange pumpkin pop things. He now had two of these and given there were still a couple more booths left, he had a chance to earn more. The purpose of these pumpkin pops was still to be determined but a skeleton from earlier told him to hang onto them and that he would.

The next booth he found himself at was a game that required strength and precision. It was a game of skee-ball or something similar. Giving the skeleton at the booth a nod, he was handed the ball for the game except it wasn't a ball. Instead, it was a talking head. Slightly shocked Shin grasped the head by its cheeks. As the head smack-talked Shin, he tried to pay it little to no mind which was difficult. Focusing on the target, he proceed to throw the head forward.

DOOT DOOT
Isn't that spooky?

"You the one whose been winnin' these damn games?"

Chi would nod, finding the skeletons so amusing. To her, the dead was like family. They were closer to her gods than her mortal body would allow her. They were already past death's door.

". . . You won't be for long."

Chi had found this event purely by chance. If she stayed long enough she was sure to find her master soon. She just had to wait and endure the foolish games of the deceased. At least it was something to keep her busy and nothing seemed to be truly life threatening. She just had to tough it out.

He would hand her a talking head that seemed to speak nothing else than about how damn good you be looking girl,
mhhhmmmm!
But Chi wasn't having any of it.

The skeleton moved out of the way of a lane with a ramp at the end and little hole with scores and numbers.

"If ya get more than 70 points, I'll let you kill him after."

And she never threw a talking head as hard into the lane as she did then. He rolled forward and hit the ramp and...

Championship baby. Caius had won his 2nd pumpkin pop in the whack a mole type game. Those skeletons were getting smacked around like a red headed step child. Satisfied with his victory, he would go to the next tent over and hope to keep the streak going. The skeleton man would greet him at the door and invite him in for the next game. He wondered if there was a mage that controlled all these skeletons or if they were their own separate entity. A question for a later time. The skeleton man would go and lead him to a type of bowling game.

"This is called Skyhead Slinger. See the holes at the end of the lane. Roll a head in and you win!" A head? Caius was confused until the skeleton man gave him a live talking severed head. "You won't win you four eyed geek." he shouted. Caius would quickly shut the ball up by pressing his fingers into the ball's eyes causing him to scream. The blood coming out would be good lube for the ball to roll faster and get into one of the holes so he could win. He wound up and threw it down the lane.

Six games finished, with only two wins under his belt, Odin moved swiftly onto the next game, ignoring the mocking of the skeleton as he pondered what his chances would be of winning the next few games. He had completed six of the ten games being offered in the carnival, and each game had the stipulation that you could only play it once, meaning there were very few chances to increase one's pumpkin pop count, and even less now remaining for Odin. Four games remaining, and he'd only won two of his previous six. At this point, he'd be happy to just get two more wins, but he hoped that he'd at least not be stuck at the two that he had already won by the end of the day.

The next game seemed devilishly simple that Odin wondered what the catch would be this time around. He had to simply take a ball and throw it in a hole, but there was something about the curvature of the lane from him to the ball that seemed to trick the mind. Gripping the ball hard with his right, and dominant, hand, Odin placed one foot forward, reared back, and threw.

… He still sweated given by how lucky that he was earlier. He couldn’t have watched the cup, and instead relied on luck to try and choose the right cup, and surprisingly, the eye was beneath that very cup. Damn, it was delightful to realize that he won, but if he relied on luck this much, then that would play around with his feelings like it did now. He was a person that, rather than luck, wanted to rely on his own capabilities when it came to things like contests and stuff like that. Then again, he did tolerate lucky games a lot; it brought much more joy when he won, and much more sadness when he lost… for some reason…

The next game involved none other than an actual head. It began talking to him, cursing and prompting him to throw it to one of the holes in the curved lane’s end. Eager and annoyed by the loudmouthed head, he threw it whilst having thought of what hole that he should have aimed at. The top one gave the most points, but it was smaller than the others. Maybe if he aimed at the middle one the most, then he could have a chance…

Yasuki moved on from the first game where she had to toss rings onto skeleton's arms to the next game. Though she wasn't too successful at the first game, Yasuki kept optimistic that she would be better at the games to come. She approached one game in particular that she seemed to be familiar with, and that's when the skeleton leading this game would approach her. "Well m'lady, would you like to give your hand at this game? Have you ever rolled a head instead of a ball?" the skeleton started to ask her a couple of questions. "All you have to do is roll this head that's here in my hands up that lane and into one of those holes there." the skeleton continued to explain the game to her. Yasuki looked around at the other games and could see people all over the place playing the games and what not, then she turned back to the skeleton after he was finished explaining and gave him a nod to agree with him. "I'll give it a shot, surely my luck is better than the previous game." she said optimistically, keeping her Vaporeon close by her side as she reached down to pet it for good luck. Yasuki was good handed the head and the skeleton stepped to the side. "Vaporeon, on three. One... Two... Three..." Yasuki would count to three before she rolled the head down towards the lane.

Her eyes looked forward, her posture just stood yet she was hunched with her back arching. Her luck was zero to none as she had that many! None... She played three games and won none. She was curious on how her little sister was doing. 'I swear... Imma take her candy if she does better.' she thought darkly like the dark womanly voice would usually when something came up. Her body momved forward, her feet did too as she went to find another game. Was she going to win anything at all tonight? A soft yawn escaped her lips as she then saw another skeleton, but before her hand could be grabbed, she took her own hand and rested it against her chest. ''Do you all like grabbing women?'' she spoke, her eyes searching him up and down, observing. The thing chuckled as it would bow its head. ''Sorry madam as I guess it is rude to just grab beautiful women to play a game.'' Arisa looked at him in a disbelief manner. ''Fine... My luck sucks anyways and I have a night to waste.'' she spoke to him. She once again let him explain the game and that's when she would grab the head and let it do most of the work. She had no real hope for this night anyways...

Most of the experiences of this carnival seemed to be grotesque and otherwise disgusting to your average individual. Vyrst was pretty disgusted of course, but after having dealt with it a few times he overcame the feeling and decided that he would just try and gather as many of these pumpkin pops as possible, regardless of what they could be used for. After finishing his thoughts on this matter he made his way to another booth, and inside the booth stood another skeleton, except this one was holding severed heads and handing them off to people.

This was probably the most disgusting booth Vyrst had been to so far, but he really wanted these pumpkin pops. The skeleton explained that he had to take the severed head and roll it around a curved track into one of many holes. If he was able to do so then he would win himself a pumpkin pop. The whole experience seemed a bit absurd and a bit difficult, but Vyrst was not one to shy away from a challenge. The skeleton handed him the head, and to its surprise it began to talk shit to him and tell him he wouldn’t be able to win. Vyrst ignored the head and just decided to roll it and see if he got lucky.
