Erebus2

Erebus moved swiftly against the halls of the phantasm castle, he narrowed the large portraits surrounding the room and zoomed to the destination of his newest mission. The great and powerful Sirius. Pft. A dilluded notion, not a damn person could actually believe Sirius was tough. He's a shit stain on the town of Oak. Allowing dark guilds, nigh specifically Phantom Lord to set up shop and call his kingdom their own domain.

Erebus was not a very strong individual. Barely stronger than a mere man at all, but he knew one thing. That he was destined to put mages down. That his powers as an entity was to grow infamous without the need for flashy abilities. He could aquire another way. He dreamed of another way. Every night the lycan's strength was powered not by his own lust for energy. But the evil he committed when he shut peoples head through woodchippers.

Such was just the way of the world. You either bark or you bite. This dog... He bit, and he tore. That was just how simple it was. The lycan through his foot outward, busting into the room. His eyes, flickering between their usual crimson to an amber gold. Similar to flicking movies on an old television. Erebus smiled, barring canines that he returned to normal teeth.

You'd think the grimoire heart adventurer had just taken a shot of heroine the way he moved about to fast and eerily. Thing is, he was just excited. He heard a royal pig wanted him-- HIM-- to train some puny guards that no doubt would someday be quelled by the lycan himself. No matter! Erebus could do this little bitch favor, at least just this once. Besides, the pay out was large and hefty. Perfect for Erebus to take advantage of. And he would, obviously.

"Sirius."

''Strategist."

The wolf held forth a crumbled piece of paper, ripped from an outdoor sign, and slightly wet from the jog to the phantasm palace.

I received your call for help. I don't use magic, plain as day. I'm probably the most qualified weapon specialist in town. Denying my help? That's shit talk. The majority of my infamy came from this town. You even know me by name. I'll take your job-- Phantasm.

The man sat up in seat seat, sliding a tongue over his lips. Erebus figured the man must be out for his wang. However, Erebus couldn't find blame. Erebus was the perfect human in his own eyes. Shit shows like this guy, would die to be on the same level. Pedestals above just talk. The agent of Action. A demon in design in and of itself. That's what Cassiel men are. Or more specifically, this one.

Very well Erebus. You never failed me before now, I can't begin to expect you to do it now. Teach my pathetic guards how to fight. They jest around against attackers like ants ready to be squashed. Make them into men. I only prefer the strongest warrior... Yourself. To be the one to give them some tips. Take your time, I know it's an annoying job. I won't care to pay you a few extra bucks should you at least teach how to correctly hold a spear and blade.

Erebus bowed. "Off I go then, your leige."

Erebus moved to the window, seeing them down below. Idly hitting dummies like fools. A real man would practice on other men. These subjects were soft. It was full Sergeant mode. Erebus tilted his head back. Later Sirius. And Erebus launched out the open window, now unlatched. He fell at intense speeds, tongue out. Ready to fuck up the program for sure!

His hand caught a flag jutting out from the wall, the force snapped it but lowered the speed of his fall. On two feet he planted upon the hard gravel, his boots cracking the pebbles under the brush of his insurmountable strengths. God of heaven and hell would have given a watchful nod to such an entrance. So amazing it was in fact, that every guard-to-be jumped and held for their weapons in fear.

When they saw who the mysterious challenger was, piss kissed britches. The mighty lycan fiend of oak town. A myth, a folk tale. An urban legend made real a year ago. The monster stared at them. It's heart beating fast. The wool jacket was fastened as his hands void of weapons. He spoke to them...

"Do you see the hell you bring down on yourselves? So bad, sooo so bad. To the point they called me in. The terror that I'll instill in your heart? It'll breed the monsters I am going to make you into. Everyone! Weapons aimed at me. Come do your worst!"

And just like that, men looked between each other. Laughing... They assumed numbers would ready them for the hell he had in mind. It didn't. The swung swords, the lycan dipped to the side. They'd jab pikes, Erebus would softly knock them off course. Rushing for throats. He swung them with such force. These puny men. That they'd do flips on their own. It was soon apparent that winning was out of the question. Death was on their whispers. But Erebus was going to let them die. Instead... He would stand them at attention. Readying their ears he spoke.

"You move like men. But ignore the primal rage that could turn you into a beast. Swing with hostility, but do not create openings in your form. Aim your spears only if the shot is open. Thrusting your body outward the way you do? It creates a brief few seconds in which you have to regroup yourself. Never let your enemy have that option. Countering is like finishing a song. Just carry up where they'd leave off. It's not difficult. Everyone pick partners. We're going to test your metal over my training regiment.

Erebus had been well informed these men had no idea what they were doing. He was proven that was indeed the case, but here out, they'd know exactly what to do. He showed them their new fundamentals. Re-training them.in their basics. He then showed them a few styles to occupy while wielding their powerful tools. Weapons of destruction like these were meant to be swung with lethal intent. To incite devastation in thys clearest victims. So Erebus would do just that.

Eventually since the sun was still in the sky, Erebus would break from his job leaving the sweaty army fodder to practice. He arrived again before Sirius.

"Your soldiers have pricks tucked between their legs. But don't worry, with what I've shown them. I rhink they'll at least be sub-par and protect you in a dire situation if they stick to my instructions. Now. I'll be seeing you."

"I see. Heh. Indeed, I'll pay you when the sun sets then."

"Sounds great."

Erevus returned to thw side of his students. When one failed to follow the rules set in place, he would break their nose, or put his boot into their spines. Within little more than a day, each man was fighting like a wild boar on a rampage. Monsters. Bloodlust pouring with their eyes.It was beautiful! The chaos he couls recrwate. Erebus loved it. It was lip-smacking delicious. He ended up picking the two best warriors at the end of the day, watching them battle iuntil ome dropped from exhaustion or pain. "Modern day gladiators, I love it." He would comment. Then, when all was said and over. When the sun kissed the mountains and the lake was a misty purple. Eerily matching the dusk woven skies. Erebus entered the castle for his third and final time. His feet tok gentle strides wgile his coat hugged his flesh.

Erebus had one place in mind. His payday spot. The lycan again, heaved a foot through the door. Causing his wuest giver to hop and rest a hand at his chest.

"Jesus!"

The pathetic phantasm cooed. Erebus held out his hand. Making way to the desk.

"Give me my jewels. Your guards are done. Have them practice what I taught them six hours a day and within three months their bodies will match their attitudes towards the regiments. Erebus took his paycheck and left the castle. He made way back towards town and found another typical motel to crash in. He laid snug in his bed, ready for a new day.

End.
