Tenshi †
It was back to the cake shop for him. He had been here once before, accompanied by no one but his own ambition. Jake had been sick at the time, running a fever and not feeling well. Or at least that was how it started off. See, Jake was a very strong individual. Magic and ability aside, Jake was one with a strong will and great resolve. While he had certainly been sick for a while, Finn had been able to nurse him back to health with relative ease, using few medicines and an abundance of soup. It was soup that probably did the trick, if he was going to be honest. The warm broth and mix of vitamins, minerals, and essentials within the soup probably gave the immune system the jump it needed to fight off the sickness, whatever it had been. There were other possibilities that could have been at work too. Perhaps the medicine had indeed kicked in and helped Jake fight off the fever and symptoms? Perhaps the bedrest that he did constantly while sick was able to help bolster his immune system for the time it would take to be better? Regardless, they gave credit to the soup.

Once he got to the cake shop, Olly was obviously disturbed. His run in with Finn had been less than pleasant last time. He had known Finn as the breaker of doors, the one who could not understand that the door could be locked for a good reason, and forced his way in. All had worked out in the end though. They finished whatever the photo shoot was for, and due to that, his business had become even busier in the recent months. One could not argue that it was all thanks to Finn, as that simply was not the case. The case could be made that he had offered a great deal of help, though, and that was enough. Enough at least for Olly to not bother kicking him out on the spot, and instead begrudgingly accept the help for the request that he had put out. Olly, during this boom of business, had found himself in dire need of someone to make the deliveries that he would normally be able to make himself. He had to do everything he could to keep up with the orders that were coming in for new pastries, so he couldn’t very well rip himself away from his kitchen to do the deliveries himself, as he normally would consider doing. Whatever help he normally was able to count on either wasn’t cutting it, or was obviously not willing to do all the increased labor for likely little increase of pay. Whatever the reason, the order was given and Finn was given the entirety of the cupcakes that would be ordered. He had each individually put into containers, then delicately stacked them in his backpack until the containers would no longer be able to wiggle and bounce around. Then, once secured, he set off.

The deliveries did not take too long. He need only follow the directions written out, and ask for help if he needed it. While not everyone knew everyone else in the town, the natives were very aware of individual streets and roads. If one didn’t know, the next likely would, and so on and so forth. Within only a couple of hours he had delivered all the pastries by foot. It was a job well done, and something that again was far too boring for someone like Finn. Not that he could really complain too much, considering he was the one who took on the job and no one had forced him into it. He didn’t exactly need the money, nor did he need the connections. But still, it allowed him to be active. Gave him a way to give back to the community in one way or another, and that was something that he would vastly enjoy doing. At least, he thought so. He found himself passing the time, but was he really enjoying himself? That was yet to be seen. One thing was for sure though. Finn had finished the request. He returned back to the bakery, informed Olly, collected his payment, and left.
