Selindra
Her time in Oak Town was coming to an end, the only question being really whether or not Selindra was going to find herself at any point finding a job that would genuinely have proven to be one that would test her skill, or even at the very least enable her to find herself enjoying the job. Thus far, most of the contracts that she had taken, outside of perhaps the one in which she was given by the woman who she came to find out was the youngest daughter of the noble family in Oak Town, every thing else was one in which Selindra just did not find particularly exciting or engaging. They were tasks, chores if any thing, and really, there was only so much that she found herself willing to engage freely or with any level of excitement, whether it be artificial or even that of from which she genuinely felt. On this latest task that she had been given, it was tough for her to adequately decipher how she should have felt about it. It had been given to her from her broker by the man who she had come to know was also a part of the noble family, but also that of being someone who in the past had shown Selindra a lack of respect, one in which she did not forgive and was to say the least, not appreciate of. That said, she had hoped that there was a chance that after having worked with her sister who had demonstrated a degree of maturity and sophifistication which far exceeded that of any thing in which Selindra had seen of anyone in the noble family up to that point, and she was at the very least hopeful that there was a chance that this time around, if she were given another job by the noble family, that the reception would be one that was far more received than anything else.

When she arrived at the castle, this now having been perhaps the third or fourth time that she had arrived in the castle of Oak Town though only once had she been given a wlecomeing reception that was warranted of someone with her degree of respects, and as she was approaching, she happened to wonder and to some degree worry that she was not going to get the same reception from her contractor than she was with dealing with her previous contractor. However though, as she emerged towards the castle, there appeared to be a much more welcoming reception compared to that of the past, and looking around, she thought that there must have been some mistake, her mind not yet ready to believe the fact that there at least appeared to have been someone waiting for her. However though, it wasn’t until long that she realized that it was actually for her, with her contractor waiting for her amongst the men who were standing outside, which was a nice change of things, but at the same time, something that she couldn’t help but feel was two times overdue.

Regardless of how she may have felt with the reception she had received in the previous attempts, there was certainly something to be said about now being better acknowledged and respected than that of the previous times. For it to have happened for a third time would be something that Selindra would never be able to forgive, one that in which she might even find herself inclined to pick up a contract that would ultimately lead to her exacting her revenge. Fortunately, at least for the noble family, save for perhaps the youngest daughter, they would be able to live for another day as the woman nodded in approval as she was greeted and met with. She was explained the situation at the contract that she was given, one in which the details were largely meant to have been as silent as possible, leaving her with almost no information save for the fact that she was reaching out to one of the noble family for a contract again. As she came to realize just what it was that she was being tasked with doing, there was the faintest of smirks upon her face, particularly in the fact that she had come to find out and realize that she was given the job of going about and training the soldiers who were in service to the noble family, soldiers who were regarded as being green, as having little xperience and were in need of someone who had talent, someone like Selindra.

That Selindra was selected for this was something that she had to take with great respect, particularly because not only was it something in which she was trained and taught to deal with, especially given the fact of her past training and teachings while in the Rune Knights, the fact that she was going to be training those who were inexperienced and would not be subjected o having to relearn fighting styles meant that her life and job were going to be far more time saving than perhaps otherwise. Teaching someone how to fight is far easier than having to teach someone how to fight differently as there is far less of a chance that they will abandon the tactics and instead favor those in which they had originally been taught. In this case, there was no risk of that and instead it was just going to be her going about and training them in how to fight, how she learned to fight, how she came to rise to power and influence as the infamous “White Witchhunter” a title in which few if anyone could simply ignore and dismiss, but rather that of which had numerous enemies fearing for their lives should they have encountered her. Granted, that was not to say that these people would ever end up becoming like her, but at the very least ehy would be able to get some experience and perhaps be able to emulate that teaching and training for in the future, at which point maybe it could happen.

Their training had begun towards the end of the midday, and with a dead line that had been set to be by the time that the sun had set, it was not a huge deal of time for which Selindra would be able to teach them. There were certainly things in which they could improve upon, but that was a very limited degree of it. Even those in her unit when she was with the Rune Knights, at least then they had been with her for months, if not even years, such that they were able to fight and knew what to expect, whereas this was going to be more of a mash up of things for which they would be expected to know and observe than anything else. Further more, it was not ideal either that the noble man determined himself needed to watch what was going on, although whether that was a matter of distrust to either Selindra or that of the men she was training was something in which she was not sure, but either way was not a fan of all the same. In the unlikely or likely chance that it were the former scenario than the later, she was not ready or otherwise expecting that this was going to have been something that she coul have gotten out of, even in spite of whatever degree of protest she may have given, so instead she simply allowed it.

The guards attacked at Selindra as she routinely outmatched them, her armor and weapon being far above and beyon what the men were equipped with, which meant that there were never going to be any real likely chance in which they would be able to attack or deal even the slightest bit of damage against that of Selindra, but even despite the heaviness of the armor, there wasn’t much of which she was particularly worried about, especially given the fact that she was able to move faster than essentialy any of them, though much of that was attributed to the fact that she was skilled in combat, and for as long as the men failed in their efforts to land a single blow against her, she did see that they were improving, substantially too as time went. The style of which they fought were proving to be working and Selindra could not help but wonder if she had more time available to work alongside these men, what sort of unit that they could end up becoming. Beyond that of what she had when she was in the Rune Knights? It was a good question, but they were showing great progress, especially for a group that was without any sort of formal combat training. Had they been trained, it would be very likely they would not have been able to succeed, and once the sun finally set, the men were exhausted, but at least they were better ready for combat. They needed more work, but it was a good improvement compared to what they came into today with. Taking her money from the noble man, Selindra departed without a further word.
