#26Houren Vanadis

Theseus' Escape [Event] - Page 2 Empty Fri Apr 14, 2017 10:09 am

Houren Vanadis
The arrival of the pink haired mage seemed to bode well for Houren, as he could now leave the wine haired woman's defeat in his seemingly capable hands. The inconsequential barbarian that had attempted to shove feces, which Houren could only presume was his own, into his mouth had been dealt with fairly swiftly, and the Fairy Tail mage could now focus his attention on assisting the runt sized Rune Knight that he had forged a temporary alliance with. However, upon inspecting the scene of Odin and Ace's fight, it actually seemed to the Fairy Tail mage that his assistance wasn't required at all, as the Rune Knight had successfully managed to plunge a sword of some sort into the Takeover mage's chest, and they were both currently falling to the ground. Although it seemed like the boy had gotten the better of the  Grimoire Heart mage, Houren knew better than to simply let things continue as they were. Sure, the afro sporting youngster might have his pride hurt if Houren were to interfere just as things were looking up, but when it came to these dangerous dark mages, caution was more important than simple glory. Besides, if they managed to win, this victory would probably be recorded in the history books of Era as the work of Rune Knights, and Houren could easily find his presence here overshadowed by that. Still, he could be proud of his contribution.

"Step away from him, boy; I'll finish it," he addressed Ace as he walked over. The sword in Odin's chest suggested that he was likely incapacitated, but like Houren said before, he had to exert caution when dealing with a man that literally seemed to channel a demon just for the purpose of this fight. He maintained a reasonably safe distance of two and a half meters from Odin. The Fairy Tail mage generated flames in both hands, waiting for Ace to leave the spell's range before clashing them both together to generate a flame aimed straight at Odin.

Theseus
Theseus' Escape [Event] - Page 2 123963

He stood there next to the wagon as all of this fighting took place. A rather tall individual in standard prison garments. If one looked into his eyes it appeared he was in a trance of some sort. Or maybe he just was disconnected from the world as a whole. Just going through the motion before death’s cold grasp swept him off his feet. His body obeyed the orders of the woman from earlier placing him next to her and the wagon. Things got a bit, chaotic to say the least.

‘It wasn’t me.’

Thoughts flooded his head of past memories as he awaited to be escorted to his demise. A flash of his battered body on the floor and blood covering the interior of a large room. Tears filling his eyes as those he cherished most were left lifeless.

‘I didn’t do it.’

He was to be made an example to the public. A display of power by the Rune Knights to show they do not tolerate villainy. To give hope to the people of the land and instill fear in evil. This man was Theseus. More of the same crossed his mind.

These memories were enough to keep him occupied for a moment. Then it came during this early morning escort, the turning point for everything. Facing the alley way he looked at a pink haired man eye balling the situation before moving. The girl ran away from Theseus to put some distance between the wagon and herself. The pink haired knight gave chase. The air born mage was four meters in the air and a few feet back. Placing the Afro haired child four and the half meters away from them.

Theseus’s ear twitched at the sound of a spell ripping through the ground. One of the mages in the fight made a grave error. Trying to redirect his spell to attack the afro headed child, and got dangerously close to Theseus. Close enough for him to take action. Sadly another boy jumping to the aid of the flying mage was caught in the cross fire. There was another bathing in the flames of destruction but he seemed unaffected. For the newcomer, it was a shame really.

As for Theseus he chose not become a roasted meal today. Chains snapped as he freed himself. The spell caused the wagon to catch on fire but before an explosion could happen a piercing red glow came from the right eye of Theseus. He had a certain look in his eyes. One that reflected annoyance towards the airborne mage. The spell that would have roasted him was gone in an instant. The energy used was not refunded as the spell was just erased from existence. This was after the boy leaping in the air fell to the ground from the onslaught of attacks. The flying fiery mage would be reeling back from his attack being erased giving an open window. Theseus pushed off the ground with his right leg. With the right leg. He punched forward with his left into the lad’s abdomen with all of his might. A small shock wave erupted from the sheer strength of the impact. During this the Afro headed boy would have been getting hit by the ice fox. Being staggered for a moment Theseus could finish his intended actions.

‘How dare you.’

Theseus could feel the boy’s innards curl around his fist as he pushed harder into the boy's stomach. He wasn’t done yet. Theseus grabbed the boy by his hair before he could reel back or fly away. The boy was incapacitated just because of the difference of power. Due to not having the ability to fly they fell to the surface slowly. The kid with the afro was tenacious indeed. He attempted to do something but Theseus beat him to the punch. The boy was four and a half meters away so he was in range. First he outstretched his arms to activate something but it was futile in nature.

Being within five meters the ominous red eye happened again cutting off the boy’s intended spell, canceling his series of actions. The Afro headed child would only be left there trying to do the actions needed for his spell. Sure Theseus's back was turned but it was irrelevant. Theseus could tell where the spell came from when it was nullified. Now his anger found itself directed at the boy. The falling Theseus tossed the body behind him at the boy, he would have been doing his pose still. It moved about as fast as an S rank spell maybe even faster. So the boy had almost no time to act. Theseus fell back to the ground, and turned towards the two in front of the wagon. (Houren/Ace)

Theseus only slowly walked towards the two while keeping the pink haired man off to the right in his peripheral view. Now the tide had turned but in what direction exactly? Theseus's true allegiance stayed a mystery. Only a monster stood before these heroes.

#28Ace Brookes

Ace Brookes

"Why isn't it working? All the amount of helium pumped was right... My hands outstretched fully to boost me up... I pumped a jet of the gas from my feet too but it didn't make it out... What's going on"

Ace stood there with a puzzled face, slightly bent knees and arms outstretched from each side. The winged mage still soared up above shooting a shower of flames down next to the afroed kid. Ace darted his eyes to the right only to see the flames being put out. They just dispersed into thin air. Odin seemed to be in bad luck today with almost everyone having an advantage over his fire based magic; or so Ace thought. Little had he known that the gas mage was helpless against the prisoner as well, and so was everyone.

Ace's eyes barely caught up with the speed of the man as he shot up thrusting his fist into the flying mage's torso. It all happened in a breeze. A fraction of a second. His dark eyes only caught a glimpse of Odin's body being tossed in his direction. His reflexes were helpless at this point and all he could do in time was shut his eyes. The two collided sending Ace and the other man onto the floor a meter and a half apart. Ace's right arm took most of the damage again as it got knocked off the body and the ground.

His afroed head pointed towards the man that now landed in front of him and his ally. They were three meters from the carriage and four meters from Theseus. Ace was face down on the ground with Houren to his right. Blood continued to drip from the groove on his elbow tainting the ground under him. Ace tilted his head up to stare the man down as he slowly made his way towards them.

"Are you happy now..."

Ace quietly spoke out with a shaky angered voice. It's as if he didn't know what the man was about to do next. He forced his head around the thought of death. Was this man really about to wipe the bunch in front of him and make his escape... As a rune knight, he wasn't supposed to let that happen. It was bigger than just him. He tried to call for his Ash sword once not knowing why his previous spell wasn't going through. While on the ground Ace opened his left hand in attempt to encase it with arsine to form the sword. He wasn't planning on attacking the man just yet. His sword was to show the man that the knights weren't giving up just yet, although the reality was that they'd already lost at this stage... He pushed against his injured right hand to stand up while his left hand still tried to call for the sword as his last resort. His hair and clothes were all dusty from the ground, plain white tee was tainted with drops of blood from his right. He was barely able to stand back up.

OOC:
•Taking back mana for AsH3 (Ash) since casting it didn't occur in the timeline.

•Casting it now in this post because Ace isn't aware why his magic stopped working in character.

#29Hikaru Nakamura

Theseus' Escape [Event] - Page 2 Empty Sun Apr 16, 2017 8:43 am

Hikaru Nakamura
Hikaru had knocked out the female, his plan was a success. Hikaru now had no choice bu to turn off his spell since he knew his body was reaching fatigue. However, Hikaru did realize by taking out the women he did put his body at risk for flames but as the flames came towards him they disappeared. What happened next he couldn't have seen coming. The spell completely disappeared and Someone as fast as he knocked out the man in the sky. While this happened Hikaru watched the black Rune Knight also attempt to use his spell but couldn't. Hikaru looked at the man, only now noticing that man he had been the one sitting down next to the female. Hikaru was watching as the mysterious man finished the enemy in one decisive blow and tossed him around as if he was a ragged doll. The other Rune Knight spoke and asked the man if he was happy. Hikaru stayed on his toes allowing for him to run to his left or right at any point in time. Hikaru had used half of his energy to make a decisive blow on the female, but now he hadn't planned for a new individual to enter the battle.

All enemies had been defeated, now there was just this man who took out the enemy and the fellow Rune knight, and the one guy who seemed to be an ally. They were all close range and Hikaru was off the right of the man. Hikaru was tempted to tell his fellow Rune Knight to stand down, but he wasn't sure what side this man exactly was on so Hikaru didn't have any clear thing to tell him. He looked at the man and didn't say a word just observing him. He was curious. Was the enemy of his enemy his friend, or was he just another enemy. He was walking towards the others. Hikaru kept a visual on him. The man's actions would influence how Hikaru reacted. Whether he stayed put or whether there was a fray, cause at the end his job was still to defend his own. There was a tension in the air, Hikaru could feel a nice breeze blowing and silence.

The Lycan had arrived-- albeit too late to save all three of his allies with strength alone. However, any scenario could be repaired to some degree. Now, as he slid onto the scene, clad in armor which was stained from Tori, Kazumi, and Konstantin's blood. He stayed hidden where he would not be noticed. With eyes wide he watched as a single man instilled fear into the hearts of his opponent's. For the slightest second he thought Theseus had been awoken by the magic words-- that they were now winning... However, closer inspection told him otherwise. This raw power was unlike any he'd seen used before, with the ability to cancel abilities. His knees buckled and he felt himself straighten in his shoes. The Index had been returned to the Ark, so he knew if he should be captured; he would be fine and his mission a success at the very least. Transformation into Lycan form had been maintained, so he waited by the alleyway entrance keeping tabs on the events transpiring. Using the dark shadows to conceal his presence from Theseus and the Rune Knights alike. If the Grimoire Heart mage was lucky, he could get some of his allies out of here while or after the chaos ensued. The mission was a failure on their part, but obtaining the high ground was better than nothing. His biggest goal now was to save his friends from their inevitable arrests. If they were jeopardized, the whole guild was jeopardized. Though, everything was simply resting on Theseus' chaotic abilities.

Icarus
"Infinite in mystery is the gift of the Goddess. We seek it thus, and take to the sky." The words formed from no where, echoing from the walls and stone as if they were spoken by the city itself. The voice was a conversational volume and yet could clearly be heard by everyone in the area. With its arrival, the entire energy of the area shifted. What was once a battle for survival now felt like a well directed play. Everyone was in their place, and no one could speak out against the director. And the director had finally come to stage. As Icarus melded out of the darkness itself, Theseus' attention would be shifted to him, words coming from his lips in response to the eerie announcement that had been made.

Theseus
The body of the boy slammed into the Afro-headed child, causing him to be flung back several feet. He was hurt pretty bad. It was amazing really that he still had some fight left in him. It was admirable really, Theseus smirked as he walked over to finish the job. Nothing was said as Theseus casually walked over to the two. Then it came, a message riding on the currents of the wind.

"Infinite in mystery is the gift of the Goddess. We seek it thus, and take to the sky."

A wind carried itself across the city, one that harbored a message. One that Theseus heard once before. This caused him to stop in his tracks. Then a figure appeared from the shadows cast by the nearby buildings. Theseus’s attention turned to the man walking out of the darkness and responded.

“Ripples form on the water's surface. The wandering soul knows no rest.”

These were the first words uttered by him but they carried some meaning behind them. A meaning that worked as a command to control him. Theseus’s body relaxed for a moment. This did not mean he wasn’t ready to act a moment’s notice. Any action that seemed threatening in nature would only be met with malice. The boy attempted to cast another spell but once more Theseus’s right eye gave off that ominous glow once more. The spell in question was wiped from existence. He approached Icarus with a grin and looked upon him as if awaiting something.

Icarus
As Icarus melded out of the darkness itself, Theseus' attention would be shifted to him, words coming from his lips in response to the eerie announcement that had been made. "We are almost out of time. We leave now." His words were direct, no reason to beat around the bush. The cylindrical object in his hand was thrown out, a dull green mist being sprayed in all directions and filling up the street. Anyone without the sheer magical pressure that Theseus and Icarus possessed would be rendered unconscious.

Moving forward at his calm and collected pace, Icarus would lift Nastasya and Faust into his arms without much care for how their bodies were flung about. "There are more at the Knight Headquarters." His calm voice held a dismissive feeling to it, as if he was disgusted to have said those words. With that said, Icarus would turn in begin to move away from the area at high speeds, his passengers bouncing around along for the ride.

Theseus
Theseus felt no need to speak as he listened. Time was of the essence and they needed to act now. An object left Icarus’s hand and tapped the street. A mist spewed out covering the area around them. With a responsive nod he moved towards the body of Erebus. He was in the alleyway where the pink haired knight emerged from. Due to Icarus emerging from the darkness of that same direction Theseus was aware of him. He walked over to the boy and stood there for a moment.

‘Out like a light.’

The green mist blanketed the area almost instantly covering a large range. A chemical bomb that only obeyed the magical pressure exerted by Icarus and Theseus. Even if those in the area tried to fight back, it was futile. Was it really intelligent to fight back in this situation? It was a question that didn’t need to be asked but Theseus was very aware of the tenacity in the area.

He picked up Erebus’s body and threw him over his shoulder. Then proceeded back out into the street. Theseus remembered that there was one more that needed to be carted off. The lad who felt Theseus’s anger first. He felt no remorse for what he did, next time the boy should check his fire. With Erebus in tow he walked over to Odin’s unconscious body. With his other arm he picked up the boy and held him close to his side with minor effort. Erebus was on his right shoulder and Odin was clenched close to his left side.

He heard Icarus’s words from within the mist and said nothing. Only a nod that went unnoticed before following Icarus out of the area with the bodies in tow.
