His body is adorned with a large number of tattoos, mostly similar to spell circles in their design. Nate’s left eye is concealed beneath a reinforced leather eyepatch, ragged scars leak out from beneath it, alluding to the terrible nature of what lies beneath. Extra: Nate’s left eye is coloured solid black with a demonic symbol in place of the pupil, it glows a hot red when exposed. Personality Personality: Nate’s personality is one that should be expected from an institutionalised military man. His manner of speaking is gruff meticulous and efficient, when he does it at all. Above all Nate hates dark mages, despite now being within their ranks. Beneath his gruff exterior and hatred for just about anyone who isn’t himself, Nate remains a honourable and (in some senses) moral man, when it comes to those who deserve this temperament. Likes:

Magic Magic Name: Black Rune Magic Element: Darkness Magic Description: Black Rune magic functions through the use of icons and spell circles tattooed onto the user’s body. When activated, these spell circle tattoos perform whatever function they code for, be they the construction of weapons made from shadows, projectile based attacks, or various utilities (forced darkness changing attire or visage and the like). As a darkness based magic, it is weaker when confronted by light magic and its variants. However, nature magic is far more vulnerable to attacks from Nate's black runes. History History: Nathaniel was once like any other child; innocent and happy. He and his mother Persephone lived in a small cottage just outside the capital. She had been a knight once, but retired for a reason known to few. Nathaniel was born shortly after. His happy life came to an abrupt end however, when their house was broken into and his mother taken from him. What followed was several years of life as a street urchin, scrambling through gutters, begging for food and picking pockets in order to survive. In those dark years Nate learned how to fight, and learned how to hate. As soon as he was old enough and had discovered his magic, Nate decided to join the ranks of the Rune Knights, in the hopes that he would be able to grow more powerful under their tutelage and find those who had taken his Mother from him. Years passed and Nate steadily rose through the ranks, signing on to a number of conflicts in foreign lands in addition to hunting and capturing a number of high risk criminals in his hoe nation. However, following the events of one tenuous campaign, he decided that he could no longer stand with the Council, and left. Most of his former allies assume that since his departure he met his end in a way he would have seen fit. Instead he took to a new school of magic, and threw his lot in with Grimoire heart, new goals and ambitions driving him ever forward. |
