3.2 The Take-Over Magic Regulations

The Take-Over Magic Regulations





Take Over allows the user to, essentially, "take over" the power of an entity and use it to fight. The user transforms and gains many appearance and personality traits of this creature, but at the same time retain parts of their own self, becoming a mixture of their own person and something much different. It increase the strength, speed, or endurance of the caster, and it allows them to create spells that reflect the abilities of their transformation.

Currently, there are only four distinctively known kinds of Take-Overs: Animal Soul, Beast Soul, Satan Soul and God Soul. Each one of them has different benefits. The user can only have a single form which requires the template below as it will not take a spell slot. Even though it's not a spell it must still be posted in a topic whenever it is used. The user can post this with their first batch of spells to get it reviewed.

The name will determine the name of the Take Over spell such as Demon Soul Magic: Halphas, in which Halphas was the name of the demon that Mirajane used. The elemental affinity is applied to the body of the user while being transformed, this causes certain elements to do more damage or less damage like with spells that are clashing. They do receive damage from their own element but it is two ranks lower. God Soul Magic users receive full immunity against the elemental affinity of their Take Over.

The personality completely changes into that of whatever they have as their Take Over while they are D-rank and C-rank, but at B-rank and A-rank it's a mixed personality of both the user and the Take Over, at S-rank and beyond the user retains their own full personality while being transformed. The appearance is simply a description of their appearance.

The buff that is being chosen is either Strength, Speed or Endurance and this is a Self-Buff that is applied to the user while being transformed. The rank of the buff is determined by the rank of the user meaning that when the user ranks up their transformation becomes stronger as well.

Animal Soul Magic



  • Animal Soul Magic is a powerful magic which allows its users to utilize the powers of an animal. The user can choose an animal for their transformation which could be a bear, panther, elephant, monkey, hawk, shark etc. When using their Take Over their appearance changes partly into that of the animal. The user is able to make spells that reflect the abilities of the animal using their spell slots. The user can create a Supplementary-type wing spell if they chose an avian animal, or a Supplementary-type underwater breathing spell if they chose a shark for example. That is of course, depending on the class of the user. They can use these spells while they are transformed. Animal Soul Magic spells have a halved wordcount requirement for training meaning they can be learned very quickly.

Beast Soul Magic



  • Beast Soul Magic is a powerful magic which allows its users to utilize the powers of a beast. The user can choose a creature from mythology or fantasy such as a phoenix, gargoyle, sphinx etc. When using their Take Over their appearance changes partly into that of the beast. The user is able to make spells that reflect the abilities of the beast using their spell slots. They can use these spells while they are transformed. The cooldown for a Beast Soul Magic spell is decreased by two posts meaning they are quick in causing trouble on the battlefield.

Demon Soul Magic



  • Demon Soul Magic is an incredibly powerful magic which allows its users to utilize the powers of a demon. The user can choose from any polytheistic pantheon. When using their Take Over their appearance changes partly into that of the demon. The user is able to make spells that reflect the abilities of the demon using their spell slots. They can use these spells while they are transformed. The mana cost for a Demon Soul Magic spell is halved meaning they last long in battlefields while they lay waste to their enemies.

God Soul Magic



  • God Soul Magic is an incredibly powerful magic which allows its users to utilize the powers of a god. The user can choose from any polytheistic pantheon. When using their Take Over their appearance changes partly into that of the god. The user is able to make spells that reflect the abilities of the god using their spell slots. They can use these spells while they are transformed. God Soul Magic gives the user full immunity to the elemental affinity of their Take Over when being transformed.
